Mr. Roderick Carney was united in holy matrimony with Ms. Luvenia Dickerson Cox September 19th, 1999, in Zebulon, N.C. He was preceded in death by his Father Leon Barnes, and his wife Luvenia Cox Carney Mr. Roderick was employed as a Cook for well over 25 years. In his leisure
Mr. Roderick enjoyed cooking and doing yard maintenance.
Mr. Roderick Carney departed this life April 17, 2022, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, N.C.

Perry Smith Vines received his formal education at Scotland Neck High School in Scotland Neck, NC where he obtained many friends. Perry moved to NY after high school. He gained employment with Mercedes Benz and worked there for many years until his health failed. He had a passion for people. Perry never met a strangerbecause he loved to talk and would befriend anyone.
In his leisure he enjoyed the sport of basketball and walking.
Perry was preceded in death by: his grandmother,Dorothy (Wynell) Smith; sister, Delores Smith; brother, Derek Smith; aunts, Geraldine and Maxine Smith; and uncles, Charlie and James Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children: Terri Smith and two sons Perry D. Smith Jr. and Donnell P. Smith of NY; parents, Dorothy M. Smith of New York, NYand Wilbert (Effie) Vines of NJ; sisters, Sharon (William) Thomas of Scotland Neck, NC and Tanya (Alex) Herring of LaGrange, NC; brothers, Rodney (Jennifer) Vines of NJ and Macon L. Williams of Scotland Neck, NC; aunts: Hassana Ali of NJ, Elsie Smith of CT, Betty Smith of NY, and Ruby Jean, Mary, Emma, and Loretta Vines all of Greenville, NC; uncles: Fred Smith (Jacqueline) of New Providence, NY, Jimmy and Booker Vines of Greenville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Perry had a special group of friends he loved like his brothers, Nolan Anthony (Jake), Arthur Cherry, Daniel Smith, Curtis McNeil, Slick, Hank (Whitey), Lil Bro, Jerome, Michael, Marco, Donald, Noah Parker, Jimmy Daniels, Duncan Jones, and Frederick Pitt (Doug).
