Obituary Preview: Ivan Dwane Hill Sr., a cherished husband, father, and grandfather passed from this life on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Ivan was born on February 23, 1961, in Leachville, to the late Bud and Betty June Hill. He married his bride, Diane Jacobs, on October 7, 1989.
Having worked for over 20 years at The Greenbrier Companies, Ivan demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to his craft. Beyond his professional endeavors, Ivan had a passion for artistry, finding joy in painting and drawing. His creative spirit brought beauty to the community. Ivan's notable art was his painting and restoration of the downtown caboose which is the Main Street Paragould office. He also refurbished the city mural which is displayed on the side of a building in downtown Paragould.
In addition to his artistic talents, Ivan had a knack for auto body work. He would lovingly refurbish old cars, showcasing his skills with each restoration. His dedication to his hobbies reflected his innate drive and meticulous attention to detail.
Ivan will be deeply missed by his devoted spouse of 34 years, Diane Hill; sons, Ivan (McKenzie) Hill of Paragould; Gage (Jasmine) Hill of Mexico; brothers, David (Paula) Hill of Paragould and Tony (Teresa) Hill of Paragould; and six grandchildren. Their love and support meant the world to him, and his memory will forever live on in their hearts.

Obituary Preview: Glenn E. Greathouse, a proud United States Army veteran, a hardworking man with a passion for gardening, passed from this life on March 18, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on December 24, 1934, in Paragould, Glenn was a lover of all things old and antique, with a particular fondness for collecting coins, arrowheads, and Indian artifacts. Glenn was a Baptist. In fifth grade, his teacher gave him a Bible that he kept and read throughout his life.
In his earlier years, Glenn worked in manufactuing. As he got older, Glenn found joy spending his days meticulously caring for yards and gardens. He loved to manicure lawns. He married his beloved Laverne on February 18, 1961, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship.
Glenn is survived by his daughters, Dollie Hafer of Dixie and Tina (David) Jackson of Paragould; son, Chris (Tammy) Greathouse of Olatha, Kansas; brother, Winston Greathouse of Paragould; sister, Reba Whiteside of Paragould; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Raymond and Hazel Greathouse; wife, Laverne Greathouse; son, Mitchell Rushing; grandson, Kurt Christopher Allen Duke; and brother, Everett Greathouse.
Glenn touched the lives of many with his kindness, dedication, and unwavering faith. The legacy he leaves behind continues to inspire those who knew him. As we come together to bid farewell to Glenn, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, family, and cherished memories. May his spirit rest eternally in peace.

She was a treasured wife, a devoted mother, a cherished Meme, a beloved daughter, a caring sister, and friend to many.
Martha graduated from Paragould High School in 1953. She was dedicated to helping people and bringing them joy, and it was displayed in every aspect of her life. She also enjoyed adventures, and after graduation, she married Burrell. Then in July, they moved to Alaska. In 1968, Martha obtained a private pilot license. In 1969 after her husband was elected to the Arkansas Senate, Martha and him moved to Little Rock where she worked as a bill clerk at the Capitol. They also owned and ran the Wash-O-Matic in the early 1980s. She volunteered with AMMC Hospital Auxiliary, and was a member of FUMC for over 75 years. She loved flowers and plants and earned her lifetime membership as a Master Gardener.
Martha's love for humanity was boundless; she treasured every connection made, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind her loving children, Lissa (Don) Tabor and Kevin (Melody) Thompson; grandchildren, Shelly Lee, Brooke (Logan) Lands, Baylie Tabor, Ella Tabor, Mallory (Caleb) Williams, Marshall (Jordan)Thompson, MacKenzie (Luke) Foster, Maggie Thompson, and Kyle (Amanda) Jaques; great grandchildren, Benjamin, Bodee, and Bexton Williams, Millie, Tripp, and Ford Foster, Rhett Lands, Kamdin Thompson, Elliot and Noctis Mayberry, and Holland and James Jaques. Their love and memories will forever cherish the legacy their Meme leaves behind.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Loisy (Atchison) Marshall, her brother, Hoyt Marshall, late husband and father of her children, Burrell Thompson, daughter, Michelle Thompson, husband, Richard Chiles, daughter in-law, Lori Thompson, and two brother in-laws, A.W. Thompson and Merlin Chiles.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, starting at 11am followed by Celebration of Life at 1pm at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Dane Womack officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Marshall Thompson, Caleb Williams, Luke Foster, Logan Lands, Bryant Marshall and Mark Miller. Memorials can be made to Paragould First United Methodist Church.
Martha Ann may have left us physically; however, her essence shall forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of love and light guiding us through the journey of life.

Casey loved her Lord and Savior, and she lived her life serving Jesus. With her husband, they founded Captured Ministries which focuses on student ministries through camps and other venues. Each year they host camps from Arkansas to Florida for hundreds of youths.
Casey was a woman of many talents and passions. She had a beautiful singing voice, and for years she would sing at church, events, or as a part of a singing group. She was known to have a very powerful and soulful voice. Casey enjoyed crocheting intricate animals, toboggans, and blankets, using her creative touch to brighten the lives of those around her. Her generous spirit extended far beyond her craft as she found joy in ministering to students. Casey had a passion for Cherry Coke. If you wanted to get on her good side, take her a Route 44 Cherry Coke from Sonic. She would give you her full attention while she enjoyed her beverage.
Casey's journey led her to Pocahontas High School, where she graduated in 1997 before attending Williams Baptist University, where she met her soulmate, Steven Ring. The two shared a love that transcended time and space, culminating in a beautiful marriage on July 31, 1999. Together, they raised a loving family, including their daughters Anna, Elle, and Chloe, who were her pride and joy.
Casey is survived by her faithful husband of 24 years, Steven Ring; daughters, Anna (Jared) Veteto of Bono, Elle Ring, and Chloe Ring; parents, Ron and Carol Johnson of Pocahontas; brother, Kyle (Tracy) Johnson of Charleston, Missouri; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Kayla Sue Ring of Paragould; and sister-in-law, Christy (Todd) Adams of Paragould.
A beacon of light within her community, Casey was known for her kind heart and infectious laughter. To honor her memory, a Celebration of Life will be held at Harvest Baptist Church on March 14, 2024, at 1:00 pm with Pastors Laramie LeQuie and Larry Ring officiating.

Paul was born on April 25, 1949, in Elk City, Oklahoma to the late Ray Paul and Zelma Manley. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Norman, Dennis, and Jerry Manley, and sisters, Geraldine Butler, Geneva Perry, and Joy Brown.
Paul worked diligently as a janitor at Marliss Farm Machinery in Brookland, and he took great pride in his work. In his free time, he was an active participant in the Special Olympics and found joy in the camaraderie and competition. An avid bowler, Paul spent many hours perfecting his craft on the lanes. He looked forward to his weekly visits to the bowling alley.
He is survived by his sisters, Gwenda DeHart of Paragould and Patricia Wood of Wentzville, Missouri; brother, W.M. (Fran) Manley of Hillsborough, Missouri; and special friend of 50 years, Nona Cherry. Their love and memories will forever cherish the legacy Paul leaves behind.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Paul's life will take place at Heath Funeral Home on March 11, 2024, at 1:00 pm with Gary Hill officiating. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation from 12:00 pm until service time. The burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Barry DeHart, Brad DeHart, Rodney Manley, Tony Manley, Ryan Manley, and Jeremiah Manley. Memorials may be sent to Children's Homes, Inc. in Paragould.

A man of simple tastes, Wayne found comfort in the pages of books, where he would immerse himself in distant worlds. He could often be found with a book in hand, bringing the stories to life through his vivid imagination. Alongside his passion for reading, Wayne cherished moments spent watching sports and westerns on TV, finding relaxation in the familiar plots and thrilling games.
In his leisure time, Wayne enjoyed engaging in card games, particularly competing in Pitch tournaments. His competitive spirit and love for friendly rivalry endeared him to many, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of sharing a game with him.
Wayne is survived by his brothers, James "Jim" (Roberta) Cook of Shelbyville, Illinois, John (Joyce) Cook of Paragould, Ricky Cook of Paragould, and Stoney Cook of Paragould and numerous nephews and nieces. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Starr Elaine Cook and Vicki June Wilcoxen.

Winford's most cherished times were spent making memories with his family, especially his precious grandchildren.
Described as a loving father, cherished grandfather, and beloved brother, Winford will be deeply missed by his surviving relatives: daughters, Wendy (Keith) Hampton and Autumn (Brian) Hicks; son Andrew (Melissa) Gander; grandchildren Brooke Hampton, Emily Hampton, Carter Hicks, Kason Irvin, Eli Irvin, Christian Wagner; great-granddaughter Cora Wagner; and sisters, Betty (Doyne) Garrett and Peggy (Mike) Woodside. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Marie Stanfill, brother, Terry Stanfill, and his wife, Rita Howard Stanfill.
The visitation to honor Winford's life will take place at Heath Funeral Home on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 5 til 8 pm. Funeral services for Winford are scheduled for Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 2 pm at the funeral home with burial following at Shiloh Cemetery.
The family requests that lasting memorials in memory of Winford may be made to the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Sally Mugford; devoted son, Scott Mugford; cherished daughter, Lisa (Gary) Dennington; beloved sister, Ginny (Jimmie) Bailey; and Sally's children, Brad McPherson and his children, Katie and Avery, Todd (Joy) McPherson and their children, Baylor and Braden, and Andy (Catherine) McPherson and their children, Alley, Kendall, and Mary Cate. Their lives were forever enriched by his presence, love, and wisdom. Jim is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul Mugford.

Rene' enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, finding solace in gardening, cooking, and knitting. She had a special liking for roses. Rene's favorite color was purple. She had a soft spot for animals, spending hours watching heartwarming videos on YouTube whenever she could. She dearly loved her chihuahua, Bella. They spent every waking hour together, and Bella traveled everywhere with Rene'. A woman of faith, Rene' was a devout Baptist who found strength and comfort in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Amber) Dickson and Brennon Dickson, grandchildren, Blake Dickson and Emily Dickson; sisters, Rhonda Richter and Sherri Crosson; brother, David Case; many nieces and nephews, and her loving chihuahua, Bella. Together, they will continue to honor her memory and carry on her legacy of love and compassion. Rene' is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 44 years, Jerry Dale Dickson, Sr.; sister, Teresa Harmon; and brother Jim Lavene.

She was a beacon of light, a cherished wife to Gunnar Penny, a devoted mother to Rhett, Olivia, and Madden, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend to many.
Kyla graduated from Marmaduke High School in 2004. She was dedicated to helping people and bringing them joy, and it was displayed in every aspect of her life. She was manager at Priority Title & Escrow where she made numerous friends from the people she served. Kyla loved to garden for food and flowers. She loved plants in general, and she would clip leaves from plants and grow new plants from the leaves.
Kyla married the love of her life, Gunnar, on March 23, 2017. Together, they built a loving home. She loved the outdoors. She would sit by a bonfire and listen to music almost every night. She would tell Gunnar, "Throw food on the grill and let's get a fire going." She enjoyed kayaking and geocaching. Once when geocaching, she found a hive of honeybees by following what she described as "the hum of an F-250". She and Gunnar captured the honeybees and took them home. She also loved animals. In addition to the honeybees, she raised goats, chickens, and pigs.
Kyla loved adventure. At the drop of a hat, they would load up the car and go somewhere new for the day. She loved life and had an infectious personality. She did not meet a stranger, and Kyla genuinely loved everyone she met.
Kyla's love for humanity was boundless; she treasured every connection made, leaving a lasting impact on all fortunate enough to know her.
Kyla leaves behind her loving husband, Gunnar; children, Rhett and Olivia Penny and Madden McDaniel; brothers, Ronnie (Jessica) French, Jager French, and KJ French; father, Ron Baughman; mother, Laura (Marty) Johnson; paternal grandmother, Patty Cullum; maternal grandmother, Ruth Cole; paternal grandfather, Dave Baughman; and in-laws, Rick and Judy Penny. Pat's career spanned decades, with a notable 15-year tenure at Emerson Electric, where she dedicated herself to hard work before retiring to care for her precious grandchildren. Prior to Emerson Electric, she worked at Ben Franklins so she could buy new purses and shoes to match. Pat loved to iron, and she took a job ironing at the shirt factory. Her commitment to family extended beyond words, as she lovingly cooked her grandchildren's favorite chicken and dumplings and meticulously mended their blue jeans.
Her passions were as vibrant as her spirit; she found joy in sewing quilts and clothes. Pat derived immense happiness from having her family united, cherishing every moment spent surrounded by those she held dear. A devoted member of Center Hill Church of Christ, her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and solace.
Pat leaves behind her devoted husband of 70 years, Cloyce; children, Darlene (Chris) Rogers and Farrell (Kelly) Gibson; grandchildren, Maegan Rogers, Alan (Julie) Rogers, Katelyn (Jacob) McMillon, Lauren (Matthew) Rowe, Lunden (Dallas) Moss, and Emma Gibson; great grandchildren, Hudson, Annistyn, and Adaline Rogers, Ezra, Slate, and Silas McMillon, and Noah and Blakely Rowe; brother, George (Eileen) Beadles; special cousin, Jonetta (Briggs) Kelly; and several nieces and nephews. A true outdoorsman at heart, he found solace in fishing, hunting, and teeing off on the golf course, reveling in the beauty of nature and its many wonders. His musical talents shone through as he strummed his bass guitar, filling the air with harmonious melodies, and his knack for capturing the world through photography was a testament to his artistic soul.
As an avid motorcycle enthusiast, he embarked on exhilarating journeys with dear friends, basking in the freedom of the open road. A lover of all things mechanical, Danny would often be found tinkering and fixing gadgets, showcasing his ingenuity and curiousity. Throughout her years, she remained dedicated to her work at Cadence Bank, where she thrived in her role as General Sales Manager, her passion and dedication evident to all who knew her.
Kathy leaves behind her daughter, Stacy (Charles) Slaughter; granddaughter, Mollybeth Drew; grandson, Carson Slaughter; and mother, Barbara Brumley. She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Brumley, and husband, Phil Brumett.
Kathy's life will be celebrated on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 11 AM at Heath Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Brumley officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.

His commitment to his family was unwavering, and his love for them knew no bounds. He leaves behind his cherished wife of 50 years, Diane; his son, Zach and wife, Kristy, of Jonesboro; his daughter, Andrea and husband, Jacob Tripod, of Paragould; grandchildren, Drew (Kobe) Brown, Sloan Tripod, Drew Veach, and Jake Veach; great granddaughter, Noa Brown; brother, Larry (Karen) Beliew; and several nephews and nieces. Dorothy's family held a special place in her heart. She cherished her children, Dennis Hamlett and Curtis (Shirley) Hamlett. Her love for them was immeasurable, and she found endless joy in the presence of her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy also leaves behind two sisters and a brother.

Obituary Preview: Juanita Loftin, 95, of Cardwell, Missouri, passed from this life on Monday February 5th. She was a lifelong Christian and a devoted member of Cockrum Church of Christ. She was a teacher at Southland C-9 schools, where she taught generations of children in the community. She proudly wrote the anthem for the school, "Oh Southland High", set to the tune of "Oh Christmas Tree." Each year she penned a poem for the graduating class, mentioning each student by name, and giving them a happy place in the school's history.
She was an avid gardener. Each summer she would grow corn, purple hull peas, and tomatoes, and she always kept her yard full of flowers. Her rose moss that she grew at the end of the cotton fields near her house became famous; people who drove by every morning were treated to a beautiful sight of pink and red and yellow flowers that stretched hundreds of feet. She eventually sold some of her moss from her yard vegetable stand.
She loved music and singing, attending plays and musical performances almost weekly. Her enthusiastic clapping would often be the first heard after each song. She loved to sing and whistle along with the radio while she cooked.
She was an amazing cook as well. Her scratch apple pie made from fruit from her own tree was a staple at many family gatherings. Her house was full of the best homemade breads and fried chicken, and her fish fries were not to be missed. Her home was always warm and welcoming to all.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff and Joe Loftin and wife Sunny of Cardwell, and their children Daniel and wife Katie and sons Jett and Henry of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and daughter Sarah Bolt and husband Jacob and sons Wade and Jack of Fayetteville. Granddaughter Julie Hughes and husband Randall of Round Rock, Texas and their children Evelyn and Wesley, and great grandchildren Meredith and Max Meeker of Spring Hill, Tennessee also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Loftin, her daughters Teresa Wood and infant Roseann, and two cherished granddaughters Melissa Meeker and Emily McDonald.

Jim's love for education led him to Arkansas State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He dedicated himself to shaping young minds as a P.E., History, and Driver's Education teacher for an outstanding 37 years. Throughout his illustrious career, he touched the lives of countless students, coaching baseball and basketball teams at various schools, including Egypt, Oak Grove, Greene County Tech, Highland, Stanford, Marmaduke, and Buffalo Island Central.
Jim's leadership and skills on the baseball field were legendary. His 1964 Greene County Tech baseball team triumphed in the state tournament, leaving an indelible mark on the program. In 1967, his team secured the state runner-up position, showcasing his exceptional coaching abilities. A true testament to his dedication and talent, Jim achieved an outstanding overall record of 814 wins and a mere 275 losses during his basketball coaching career.
Recognizing his prowess and impact on the sport, Jim was honored with induction into the esteemed Arkansas Coaches Hall of Fame in July 2009. His dedication extended beyond the playing field and the court as he was an actively involved member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church, where his presence brought comfort and inspiration to all.
Jim's legacy lives on through his beloved bride of 65 years, Norma Bowlin; his devoted son, Scott (Kathy) Bowlin; his cherished daughter, Stephane (Barry) Davis, along with grandchildren, Meagan Ann (Matthew) Bowlin Gonzales of Thompson Station, Tennessee, Skyler Jim (Camilla) Bowlin of Arnhurst, Denmark, Tyson Welch Davis of Paragould, Trase Ryan (Taylor) Davis of Paragould, Jordan Craig Pickens of Springdale, Arkansas, and Briley Elizabeth (Chase) Brody of Gravette, Arkansas; great grandchildren, McKenzie and Madison Gonzales, Luka Bowlin, Reagan and Lincoln Davis, Addison Arnold, Emma and Ryan Davis, and Charlotte Brody; sister, Daphne Adams; and brother, Chalk Bowlin.
