Obituary Preview: Lora Lee Gorsuch, 89, of Albion, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. She was born on Dec. 1, 1932, in Pleasant Lake, Indiana, to Anthony and Nellie (Stoy) Blomeke.  She was a graduate of Ball State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and later received her Master's in Education from University of St. Francis.
Lora Lee had a wonderful career lasting 38 years, including teaching at Albion Jefferson, Rome City, and retired from Central Noble Schools.
On June 2, 1956, at United Brethren Church in Albion, she married M. David Gorsuch. He preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 2011.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and watching baseball and IU sports. Most of all, she loved her church family at Trinity United Methodist Church. where she was active in the choir and prayer breakfasts.
Survivors include sons, Garry (Tammy Campos) Gorsuch, of Albion and Gregg (Rhonda) Gorsuch, of Albion; grandchildren, Ryne (Cassie) Gorsuch, Justine (Terry) Warren, Jessie Gorsuch, Kelsey (Al Berry) Gorsuch, Jorden (Jay) Squadrito and Jared (Sophie) Gorsuch; and great-grandchildren, Noah, Chase, Keagan, Korbyn, Liam, Ellie, Mia, Harper, Madilynn, and Liviana.  In addition to her husband, Dave, she was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Robert Blomeke.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, April 4, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 706 N. Orange St., Albion, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Bret Frymier will officiate. Visitation will also be held from 3-8 p.m., on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion.

Obituary Preview: ALBION — Dale J. Shultz, 92, of Albion, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. He was born on Oct 24, 1929, in Jefferson Township, Noble County, to Marvin E. and Clara Ellen (Herron) Shultz. Dale married Linda J. Nash on April 20, 1952.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, and member of Albion American Legion Post 246, where he previously held Post Commander. He worked for Lyall Electric (later Dekko) until his retirement in 1991.  Dale also was a member of the Kendallville Eagles and Asbury United Methodist Church in Albion.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Shultz. of Albion; children, Donald J. (Debora) Shultz, Sally Hull, William J. (Paula) Shultz, Alan J. “Joe” (Tina) Shultz and Kent (Stacey) Shultz; grandchildren, Steven Shultz, Austin Shultz, Corey Hull, Dustin Hull, Amber Hoffman, Brock Shultz, Emily Campbell, Joey Shultz, Justin Shultz, Jeremy Shultz and Jackson Shultz. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Toby Shultz, Charlotte Hull, Foster Hull, Kelsey Hoffman, Lindsay Hoffman, Bryce Shultz, Maci Shultz, Lane Shultz, Kenna Campbell, Kade Campbell, Teagan Shultz, Quinn Shultz, Sailor Shultz, Jetson Shultz, Emmy Shultz and Shyla Enix.  He was preceded in death by his parents; great-granddaughter, Kendall Shultz; son-in-law, Harlan Hull; grandson-in-law, Jordan Hoffman; and siblings, Russell Shultz, Hilda Irene (Chester) Reid and Lucille (Kenneth) Forker.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, with visitation one-half hour prior. Pastor Bret Frymier will officiate. Visitation will also be from 4-8 p.m., on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the funeral home.
Burial with military honors will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion.

Vivian Edwards - March 15, 1934 - March 10, 2022

Obituary Preview: COLUMBIA CITY — Vivian "Nanny" Edwards, age 87, passed away on March 10, 2022, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Vivian was born on March 15, 1934, to Paul and Bonnie (Coe) Marshall in Noble County, Indiana.
She graduated from Albion Jefferson High School in 1952.  She was secretary to Attorney Jerry Carson and Chiropractor Dr. Joseph Turner before owning and operating the Wolf Lake drive-in (Dari Sweet) from 1966 until 1974. She was also secretary for the Noble County Government offices (Surveyor’s Office, Highway Department and the Health Department) until 2009, when she retired.  Her church affiliations were Tri Lakes Baptist Church and more recently, First Church of God. She also was a member of the Red Hatters in Noble County.  Her love and devotion to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be missed. She is famous for her chocolate chip cookies, slushies, pies and attending all family activities. She enjoyed boat rides and watching the sunset over the lake.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Steve) Mangan and Deb (Jim) Straub, of Columbia City; seven grandchildren, Jill (Brad) Carnahan, Ashley (Ashley) Straub, Adam Straub, Andy (Britt) Straub, Arik (Katrina) Straub, Austin (Jade) Straub and Avery (Courtney) Straub; 10 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Steve Marshall and Randy Marshall, of Albion; stepchildren, Liz Edwards, Peg (Randy) Musolf, Bob (Carolyn) Edwards and Paula (Shaun) Clark; 12 step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edwards; parents, Paul and Bonnie Marshall; and brother, Glenn Marshall.
There will be no visitation per request of the deceased.
A graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion, Indiana, will be held for family and close friends on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 1 p.m.

Fay L. (Wilson) Malony - Unknown - February 23, 2022

Obituary Preview: ALBION — Fay Louise (Leitch) (Wilson) Malony, of Albion, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born in Jefferson Township, Noble County, Indiana, to Owen B. and Dorothy D. (Potter) Leitch. She graduated from Rome City High School, and attended IBA.
Fay had many hobbies and interests through the years. She enjoyed reading, gardening and flower arranging and playing cards at the Senior Center in Kendallville.  Fay was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was active with the former Martha Circle, and the camera club. She was also active with the Noble County Community Concerts, the Progress Club of Noble County, was on bowling leagues at Albion Bowl, and a member of the Crazy 8's Social Club. Fay also loved to travel and traveled the world with her second husband.
Fay married Walter O. Wilson on July 21, 1953. He preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1974.  She later married Walter Malony on Sept. 8, 1978. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2003.
She is survived by her daughter, Carla (the Rev. Bret) Frymier; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Judith Leitch and June Wilson; and brother-in-law, Vern "PeeWee" (Patricia) Wilson.
In addition to her first and second husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Walter Wayne WIlson; daughter, Lisa Kay (Wilson) Stahlhut; great-grandchild, Jessie James Whitacker; and siblings, Byron Leitch, Marian E. Leitch, Beulah Leitch Miller, Allice Huff and Orland Leitch.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 706 N. Orange St., Albion, with visitation one hour prior to the service.  The Rev. Bret Frymier will officiate.  Visitation will also be from 5-8 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, at Harper Funeral Home, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion.
Burial will be next to her first husband Walter Wilson, at Rehobeth Cemetery, rural Albion.

Kirkpatrick, 92, of Albion, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville, following a battle with COVID-19.  He was born on May 23, 1929, in Jefferson Township, Noble County, to Earl and Florence (Rodian) Kirkpatrick. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Robert retired from International Harvester in 1977. He always kept busy working, either cutting wood or bailing hay. He also enjoyed mowing lawn. He and his wife were the owners of Kirkpatrick Lawn Service for many years. Robert enjoyed going to car shows, and especially loved classic cars. He was a member of Avilla American Legion Post #240.  On Oct. 20, 1972, at Green Center United Methodist Church, he married JoSue Wolfe. She preceded him in death on January 27, 2012.
Survivors include his children, Rob (Melissa) Kirkpatrick of Albion, Cindy (Phil) Jacob, of Albion, Cathy (Mike) Blomberg, of Wolcottville, Pam (Scott) Gardner, of Tennessee, and Melissa (Mike) Meroney, of Albion; grandchildren, Chad (Shelley) Jacob, Brad Jacob, Shawn Jacob, Angela (John) Kresse, Jodie (George) Wood, Stephanie (Lee) Lafleur, Kayla (Cody) Stamps, Kolton Gardner, Kelsey Gardner, Darci (James) Streby, Tyler (Majenica) Meroney, Morgan Meroney, Cash Kirkpatrick, and Colt Kirkpatrick. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Austin, Owen, Caitlyn, Tristan, Trenton, Haley, Allie, Paisley, Charlie-Jo, Joseph, Riley, Chelsea, Madalyn, Macy, Maria and Nathan; great-great-grandchildren, James, Quinn, Brynlee and Addyson; sisters-in-law, Jan Syphers, and Barbara Kirkpatrick, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, JoSue, he was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Charles Kirkpatrick, John B. Obituary Preview: LAGRANGE — Donald Gene Bish, 66, of LaGrange, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1955, in Wolf Lake, Indiana.  Don was an owner/operator and had been driving for Omni Source.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting, sitting on his porch at the lake, and especially loved cars.
On July 23, 2009, in Angola, he married Karen Kunce. She survives in LaGrange.
Also surviving are daughters, Jennifer Dingman, of Waterloo, Michelle Berkes-Adams, of Fort Wayne, Crystal Rodman, of Kendallville, Kelli (Calvin) Leiter, of Florida, and Amber Riddle, of Wolcottville; grandchildren, Blaine Harlan, of New York, Nicholas Terry, of California, Kimberly Vanderpool, of Kendallville, Caedmon Berkes-Adams, of Fort Wayne and Delphi Berkes-Adams, of Fort Wayne. Also surviving are sisters, Robin Campbell, of Kendallville and Cindy (John) McGill, of Albion; brothers, Mike (Judy) Bish, of Wawaka and Robert Holcomb, of the Philippines; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Mary Bish; and a sister, Pam Whitford.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, with a Celebration of Life service at 4 p.m., at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion.
An additional celebration of Don's life will be held at a later date, following cremation.

Debbie passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022, in her home.
Debbie was a lifelong resident of Albion, Indiana, and a 1972 Central Noble graduate.
She retired from Dana Corporation after 36 years of service.
Debbie loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, Nascar races, shopping, garage sales, reading and watching movies.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 35 years, Douglas Wilson; her three sons, Sean (Faith) Davies, Spencer Wilson and Seth Wilson; three grandchildren, Chance Davies, Shannon Davies, and Zayden Wilson; and two sisters, Donita (Jeff) Brill and Denise (Brian Stolte) Smolek. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Jean Smolek.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion, and will be open to family and friends.
Pastor Bret Frymier will officiate.

Brian Ostermeier - June 09, 1958 - January 15, 2022

Obituary Preview: Brain Ostermeier, 63, of Albion, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Goshen Hospital following a cancer diagnosis.  He was born on June 9, 1958 in Allen County, Indiana, to Thomas Carl and Joan "Joanne" (Jeanmougin) Ostermeier.  Brian worked in construction and maintenance for over 40 years.  In his free time he enjoyed gunsmithing, reloading ammo, and gardening.  He was a 4H dad, helping the kids in the Horse & Pony division.  He belonged to the Single Action Shooters Society (S.A.S.S.).  Brian was known for being mischievous and ornery, with a well-timed joke or prank, followed by a roguish smile.  He will be missed.
On October 3, 1981, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Albion, he married Sherry Gaby.  She survives in Albion.  Also surviving is son, Neal Ostermeier of Albion; daughter, Nikohl (Lt. Col Einar) Ostermeier-Wulfsberg, currently stationed in Germany; sisters, Marcie (Tracey Hyde) Ostermeier of Avilla, and Marie (Mark) Trzeciak of Cedar Park, Texas.  Also surviving is a grandson, Henrik, and another grandson due in February.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, January 29, 2022 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 210 N Orange St., Albion.  Pastor John Roberts will officiate.  A gathering of family and friends will be from 2-6pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Harper Funeral Homes, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion.  Please dress casually. She was born on Dec. 16, 1928, in Butler, Indiana, to William and Nora (Mottinger) Lytell.
On Nov. 13, 1960, in Albion, she married Max H. Strater. "June" as she preferred to be called was a homemaker. She loved the casino, playing cards, cooking and fishing. She was a member of Albion American Legion Post #246 Ladies Auxiliary for 55 years.  June and Max lived many years in Chetek, Wisconsin, on Prairie Lake.  June had a strong love and faith in the Lord, and she would often share prayers and Scriptures with those around her.
Survivors include son, Stanley A. (Margaret) Strater, of Albion; grandchildren, Stanley (Jessica) Strater Jr., of Topeka, Stephanie (Strater) (Kevin) Clouse, of Wolcottville, Marina Parker, of Kendallville, Shane Parker and BJ Parker, of Tennessee. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Savana Strater, Shayla Strater, Shania Gonser and Sydnee Smith; a sister, Norma "Mouse" Bender of Fort Wayne; and many nephews and nieces.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Max H. Strater, in 2018; son, Charles E. Parker in 2020; and many siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, with visitation from 11 a.m. to the time of service.  At the request of the family, masks will be required for those attending the visitation and/or service.
Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Kendallville.

Obituary Preview: Albion - Leon Clair Stetler, 91, of Albion, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at The Oaks Nursing Home in Baldwin, Georgia.  He was born on August 14, 1930, in Steuben County, Indiana, to Amos and Bessie (Throop) Stetler.  He was a 1948 graduate of Metz High School, served in the US Army from 1951 - 1953, and went to barber college in LaPorte, Indiana.
He moved to Albion in 1958, and was a barber in Albion and Wolf Lake for 17 years.  He then worked for Central Noble High School as a custodian for 15 years before retiring.  He enjoyed 15 winters in Frostproof, FL with his wife Dolores.  He also enjoyed garage sales, hunting, and fishing.  Survivors include his daughters, Linda (Mike) Irelan of Toccoa, GA, and Judy (Perry) Gordon of Albion; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are two brothers, Neal Stetler and Noel Stetler of Fremont.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dolores; his parents; infant son, Kim Lavon; brother, Blaine Stetler; sister, Marilyn Ellet; and infant sister, Kathryn.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, with visitation one hour prior.  Pastor Doug Keenan will officiate.  At the request of the family, masks are to be worn for those attending.  Private burial will be at Sweet Cemetery, rural Albion. "Pat" was born on March 9, 1934, in Noble County, Indiana, to Chester and Jenny Boggs.
She retired from Dana Corp. in Churubusco, and later worked at Walmart in Columbia City, for many years.
She was an avid gardener and spent many hours in her flower beds. She also enjoyed sewing.
Pat is survived by her five sons and a daughter, Dan (Nancy) Weeks, of Connorsville, Indiana, Randy (Melinda) Weeks, of Albion, Perry (Deb) Weeks, of Albion, Amy Weeks Nichols (Richard), of Albion, Kirk (Diane) Weeks, of Albion and Kent (Carolyn) Weeks, of Churubusco. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Pat's wishes, no services will be held.

He was born on March 14, 1949, in Kendallville, Indiana, to Ralph and Ida (Evans) Rupert.
Keith worked at Group Dekko as a supervisor and was a member of Albion Masonic Lodge #97 F&AM.
On Dec 29, 1972, in Waterloo, he married Peggy McCoy. She survives in Albion.
Also surviving are a son, Brian Rupert; daughter, Amy (Matthew) Schroeder; step-daughters, Robin Hosford and Pamela Samuels; grandchildren, Nicholas Schroeder, Sarah (Jacob) Stringfellow, Matthew (Kaitlyn) Hosford, Olivia Samuels, and Ivy Samuels. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Capri and Jackson Hosford, and Sora Samuels; brother, Greg (Deena) Rupert; sisters, Ruth Waldron and Carolyn Latta; and many nieces and nephews.

Beverly worked in the Albion Clerk-Treasurers office from 1986- 1999, the last 8 years as the Clerk-Treasurer. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and served as president of the women’s auxiliary, participated in bowling leagues in Albion and was a member of the Retired Indiana Public Employees Association.

Jerry was born February 9, 1968 in Kendallville, IN to Ivan J. and Carolyn M. (Keirn) Jones. Jerry married Tonya L. Knafel on September 10, 2017 in South Haven, MI. Jerry was a truck driver for the Noble County Highway Department.
Jerry was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church – Albion, IN and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
Jerry lived his entire life in the Albion Area and was a graduate of Central Noble High School. He was a devoted employee of the Noble County Highway Department for 26 years. He took great pride in his job and made sure the residents of Perry Township had the best roads possible. He would often receive baked goods as a thank you for his hard work. Jerry loved to hunt and was a member of the NWTF. He enjoyed the May banquets they had over the years. He loved to go on trips to Michigan, especially South Haven. He loved watching his daughters play volleyball and would help out whenever he was needed.

Ron was employed at Essex for 25 years, working in Tool & Die.  He was a member of the Albion Eagles and former school board member at Zion Lutheran School in Fort Wayne.
On May 3, 1957, in Corunna, Indiana, he married Marlene Endorf. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Mathias (Mary) Smith, of Weiser, Idaho; daughters, Kimberly (Dan) Phares, of Ligonier, Ronda (Norm) Lortie, of Albion and Jody Gaff, of Kendallville; grandchildren, Greg Smith, Kenny Smith, Andrew Smith, Bradley Phares, Kristen Try, Tyler Phares, Jay Lortie, Joe Lortie, Todd Lortie, Abbey Mault, Jolene Deveau, Caleb Gaff and Courtney Gemmill; 34 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bill Endorf, of Fort Wayne; aunt, Leone Schmidt, of Fort Wayne; and cousin, Darleen Nelson.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Chris Gaff; great-grandson, Corbin Gemmill; and uncles, Donald Schmidt and Garland Schmidt.

Rebecca enjoyed traveling, watching KU Basketball, and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs.  She especially loved her cats and was known to take in strays and rescues and give them a loving home.  On October 4, 2005, in Warsaw, Indiana, she married Christopher Foss.  He survives in Ligonier.
Also surviving are her parents, Terry and Deena Shurtz, a sister, Tera (Chris) Nedrow, nieces, McKenzie and Cameron Nedrow, and mother-in-law, Sharon Oradat.

Donald L Bortner - March 14, 1928 - October 20, 2021

Obituary Preview: ALBION — Donald L. Bortner, 93, of Albion, Indiana, died on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville.
He was born as the only son of George Dewey Bortner and Sylvia Ruth (Mills) Bortner, on the family farm, three miles east of Albion on March 14, 1928.
He grew up on the farm and attended one room schools. His first four grades were at Jefferson Center School and the next four grades were at Rehoboth School. He attended High School at Albion Jefferson and graduated in 1946.
After graduation from high school he enlisted in the U.S. Regular Army and was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was honorably discharged in 1948, and was recognized for World War II service.
After his discharge he attended the University of Louisville, where he became a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon social fraternity. In 1950 he transferred to Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and graduated in June 1952, with a B.S. degree in marketing.
Mr. Bortner met his wife, Bettye Ann Siegel, while attending IU. They were married in Boston, Massachusetts, on Nov. 5, 1955. Bettye passed away in January 2017.
Upon graduation, he received a 2nd Lt. Commission in the United States Air Force Reserve. After seven years in the Air Force Reserve, he was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain.
Mr. Bortner went to work for International Harvester Company, Farm Equipment Division, in July 1952. After completing a two-year Executive Training Program he held various positions in the Fort Wayne District office and then transferred to Columbus, Ohio, where he was the District Parts Supervisor. In 1968, he was transferred into the Overseas Division in Chicago, where he traveled extensively around the globe. In 1972, he and his family were transferred to Caracas, Venezuela, for two years. After being transferred back to the U.S., he lived in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania for two years, before being transferred back to the Chicago area. After the Construction Division was sold to Komatsu International, he remained with them until he retired. After retirement, he continued to work for Komatsu for two more years as a consultant.
After retirement he and his wife moved back to the family farm near Albion, where they remained for more than 25 years. In 2015, they moved into a smaller home in North Ridge Village in Albion. Mr. Bortner was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, the American Legion, the Noble County Historical Society, and First Presbyterian Church in Albion. He was also a 32nd degree Freemason of the Scottish Rite Temple in Fort Wayne,
Mr. Bortner is survived by sons, Gary and Bob.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church, 210 W. Highland St., Albion, with visitation from 11 a.m., until service time on Tuesday at the church.
Pastor Beverly Harkey will officiate.
Burial with military honors will follow at Sweet Cemetery, rural Albion.

On June 15, 1994, in Albion, he married Ellen Godfrey.  She survives in Albion along with is his daughters; Vicky Lynn Baxter and Elizabeth (Scott) Myers and son; Ed Call. Also surviving Neal are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Mona Witham, Pamela Prouty, Sharon Woody, DeAnn Coleman; brothers, Ned Wolfe, Charles “Chuck” Wolfe, and Harry “Tom” Wolfe; and sisters, Elizabeth Wolfe, Ima Jean Perkins, Vivian Richards, and Lela Roberts.

Obituary Preview: Deborah Lee “Deb” Herendeen, 65, of Winamac, IN went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 26, 2021.  She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends.  Deb was born on December 27, 1955 in South Whitley, IN to Larry and Nancy [Lamle] Herendeen.  She graduated from Churubusco High School in 1974.
Deb was a Master of the Martial Arts.  In 1997, she won the World Championship Title in Women’s Fighting competing against 103 women.  At the wish of her Grand Master, she competed in the World Master Forms Competition against men from 63 countries and placed 3rd in the World.  She taught the art of Tang Soo Do and horseback riding to many.  Deb was an avid equestrian and a talented rider.
Deb was an extraordinary woman and a true work of art.  She was a kind and sensitive woman who loved her family and friends deeply.
