He was united in holy matrimony to Diann R. Buford, and blessed with a son, Eric Alvin Blakeney. Alvin moved his family back home to Walterboro, SC to be closer to his siblings. Alvin always stood up for what he believed in, even if it wasn’t the popular thing to do. There definitely was no shame in his game and you would know that within 5 minutes of greeting him. He would always extend a helping hand to family and friends that needed help. If there was a slither of free time, he would get his fishing pole and call family and friends and go fishing. Alvins infectious laugh and big heart will be greatly missed.
