She joined Shady Grove Christian Church at a young age and remained a faithful member until her health failed.
She began her education from Rosenwald, but went to graduate from J.J. Rose High in 1952. She was united in marriage to J.M. Lafayette on December 14, 1957, to this union there were 4 children.
She worked for Golden Feast Chicken House for 25 years, where she ultimately retired. Naomi was a God-fearing lady, who adored working in the kitchen of the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, son and siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memories; a daughter Kathy Garrett of Cason, TX, a son Reginald Peters of Dallas, TX, a special niece Gloria Allen of Dallas, TX,a sister-in-law; Annie Lafayette, a special daughter; Michelle Jones of Longview, TX, 12 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, a host of nephews and nieces, a cousin Erma Rhymes, and one supportive man that she declared as her friend, Greg Frazier. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Donald Ray Cooper was born on August 17, 1955 in Tyler, Texas to Nora Cooper and Elvrich Everhart. He attended Dumbar and Bonner Elementary, Dogan Middle School and graduated high school from John Tyler High School.  At the early age of 18 Donald decided to serve our country and he joined the United States Army where he served for 5 years and became a Vietnam Veteran.
Donald Ray Cooper was a member of the Browning Memorial IME Church where he served as a youth usher on the local level as well as the state level under the leadership of Pastor W.A. Ferguson.  He later moved on to become a member of the New Beginning C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of his brother Pastor Steven A. Cooper where he contributed financially. Donald was currently serving under the leadership of Pastor Shawn Courtney of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Bonham, Texas.
Donald was a dedicated and hard worker. After leaving the army Donald was employed by several different companies including Tyler Pipe Industries, Trane Technologies, and Carrier Corporation. Donald was currently employed at the Domiciliary at the Veterans Hospital in Bonham, Texas.

She departed this earthly life on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 3:08 PM in the comfort of her home, surrounded by two of her granddaughters. She attended Traylor High School in Hughes Springs, Texas. She was known for being a dominant basketball player where she ruled the court playing the center position.
She was a member of Love Chapel Baptist Church in Hughes Springs, from an early age where she gave her life to Christ. She enjoyed cooking for everyone that she eventually made it a career. She worked at several places like Lone Star Steel, Double H – Restaurant, the nursing home, and she ended her career as a head cook for Western Sizzler, in Mount Pleasant.
She was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2002, shortly after she moved to Dallas with her kids for treatment and therapy. She demolished the cancer and went on to enjoy her early retirement for years until the diagnosis of dementia struck. Although dementia took her life, she fought a good fight all the way to the very end and gave dementia pure hell the entire time.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers; Johnnie, Reece, Lee, Ardis Sr., Ray, Jr., and Leon Hatten. 1 sister; Zelma Jimmerson.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories with her three children; Reginald (Ronda) Hatten of North Lake, Texas, Byron (Cynthia) Hatten of Wylie, Texas, Sekeitha (Jamal) Jones of Richardson, Texas.

Jeff attended the public schools of T.J. Austin elementary, Dogan middle school, and graduated from John Tyler high school. Jeff had a personal relationship with the Lord and attended St. Mary’s Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas.
On December 16, 1978, Jeff was united in holy matrimony to Karren Lynette Boyd (his Shorty and love of his life). Through this union they were blessed with five children.
Jeff was an awesome Dad, he was awesome in the sense that he allowed his children to have a voice. He always gave his children the benefit of doubt. Jeff would often let his children know that it was his first time being a father like it was their first time being a daughter and son. Jeff enjoyed playing dominos while often throwing in some smack talking to his opponents, watching basketball and football games especially when the Cowboys were playing. Jeff worked as a bricklayer in his earlier years but was a free spirit who lived life on his terms. His love and joy will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him.
Jeff quietly departed this life Friday, February 16, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Karen Boyd, daughter Katrina Boyd and his sister Debra Lee Davis.
His beautiful and spirit filled life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Shimetha Joseph of Vallejo, CA, LaTosha Boyd of Tyler, TX, NaKisha Ferguson of San Francisco, CA, and Kevin Boyd of Tyler, Texas; his grandchildren Wayne Lucky III, Kelis Nelson, Eric Branner, Asa Muhammad, Aminah Muhammad, Ca’Lajah Boyd, Ja’Miyah Ferguson and Ahabri Allen; brother Larry (Red) Boyd; sons-in-law William Joseph Jr. and Jarvis Ferguson. Callen Ann Key-Henson was born on October 6, 1950, in Longview, Texas to the late Charlie Mae Key-Johnson and Larsol Jackson.  She passed away peacefully at home on January 19, 2024, after a very sudden decline in her health. Callen was only 73 years of age.
Callen’s spiritual development began at an early age. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and became a member of The Hughes Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Longview, TX. Then later in her adult life she became a member of Miracle Tabernacle Prayer and Praise Cathedral in Longview, TX.
Callen attended Sabine Valley School after integration she then attended Pine Tree School.  She was a benevolent and caring person. Her love of people, her generosity and willingness to serve others greatly influenced her decision to pursue a career in Nursing.  She attended Kilgore College School of Nursing and received her nursing certificate.
Callen worked at Cleveland Nursing Home, Steak & Egg, Waffle House, Wyatt’s Cafeteria, Bethel Temple Childcare, and LeTourneau University.
Becoming a mother brought much joy to Callen’s life. She gave birth to 3 children: Tammy Key-Jackson (Deceased), Darrell Bernard Jackson (Deceased) (Alicia “Lisa”) and Stephanie Key-Manns (Joe). She took part in raising: Marchico Johnson, RoShaunda Johnson, Kayla Weatherall (Vincent) , Louis Caraway, Kelsey Walls.
Callen had a love for shopping at Bath and Body Works, Garage and Estate Sales, loved to collect nice items, you name it! Her mother was her road mate! She was a gentle, caring, loving person, and loved to cook and bake, even to invite others to eat.

Curtrick was a quiet humble guy that loved fishing and spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed go out on the boat with his uncles. He liked driving his car with the  top down, with his hair blowing in the wind. He loved helping people, both at work and away from work. He also enjoyed the martial arts, as well as being in nature.
He is preceded in death by his mother; Beverly Hayes Bowens, and father; Jerry Bowens, grandmother; Ruby Hayes, uncle; Waymond Hayes, grandfather; Winfred Hayes Sr., and his son; Bryson Nathaniel Hayes.

She was preceded in death by her parents Johnnie and Elnora Robertson, daughter; Tonnina Lachelle, six sisters; Dorothy, Mildred, Mattie Thelma, Doris, Barbara, and Glenda, and two brothers Willie and Marvin. Janice had a very generous spirit and met no strangers and was loved by many. She opened her heart and home to those in need and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.
