Obituary Preview: Louise Bertha Souvenier, 97, of Weston, Ohio passed away December 20, 2021. Louise was born on October 8, 1924 to the late Art and Augusta (Washer) Hoffman in Argo, Illinois. She married Fred Souvenier in 1946 in Lemont, Illinois and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2004.
Louise was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Grace Lutheran Women’s Mission Association. She had worked previously at Argo Corn Products and at the Bowling Green State University.
Louise is survived by her daughters: Jean Clingo, Linda Souvenier; son Richard Souvenier; step-daughters Carol Valentine, Betty Horton, brother Jim Hoffman; 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred, sons: Fred Souvenier, Frank Souvenier, Kenny Souvenier, Arthur Souvenier; daughter Eloise Himburg, great grandson Tyler, and two sisters.
Visitation for Louise will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of her funeral service at 12:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 20375 E. Taylor Street, Weston, Ohio. Interment will immediately follow in the Weston Cemetery.

Ronald Sapp - June 23, 1935 - July 10, 2021

Obituary Preview: Ronald Sapp, 86, of Beavercreek, Ohio and formerly of Hoytville, Ohio passed away July 10, 2021. Ronald was born on June 23, 1935 in Kingston, West Virginia to the late James Franklin and Cora Mae (Davis) Sapp. He married Thelma Wenner on January 21, 1961 in Weston and she preceded him in death on February 7, 2008.
Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Army. He had been employed at the General Dynamics Tank plant before his retirement. Ronald enjoyed water color painting, gardening taking walks, playing pool, and going fishing. He coached many softball teams over the years as well as running in 5K races.
Ronald is survived by his daughters: Rhonda (Shawn) Smith, Susan Sapp, Becky (Stan) Nichols, and 8 grandchildren.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, wife Thelma, sons: Steven and Terry, daughter Jean, sisters: Jeanette Sapp, Beatrice Campbell, Geneva Meeks, Juanita Cookson; brothers: Bob and Lloyd Sapp.

Joanne M Lehman - May 27, 1932 - July 09, 2021

Obituary Preview: Joanne Marie Lehman, 89 of  Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on July 9, 2021.  She was born on May 27, 1932 to the late Leo and Daisy (Craft) Stage in Weston, Ohio.  She married Cliff Lehman on October 20, 1951.  They had 48 beautiful years together until his death.
Joanne is survived by her children Larry Lehman, Garry (Deb) Lehman, Rodney Lehman, Robert Lehman, Gloria Lehman, and Nancy Lehman (Steve Frame); 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 sisters, 3 brothers and 1 grandson.
Joanne had so many talents she loved to share with everyone.  She loved being a beautician for many years.  She loved being a baker and making delicious and beautiful cakes for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and just to eat!  She enjoyed knitting while she relaxed at night and created pot holders, dishclothes, hats, scarves and mittens.  What she really loved was spending time with her family and friends, laughing while being silly.  Walking everyday just to see and meet people during her daily trips. Joanne was a member of the Weston Church of Christ.  She was an active member for 50 years in the Order of Eastern Stars, Weston #198.  She was also a member of the Pythian Sisters organization.  She helped raise many of her nieces and nephews over the years.  She will be dearly missed by everyone who was blessed to know her.   Memorial donations may be gifted to the Weston Church of Christ in Joanne's name or the charity of your choice.

Tony is survived by his parents, significant other: Brandi Baughman; son: Tony St. Clair III; sister Samantha St. Clair; brother David Garner; grandmother Beverly St. Clair; and nine nieces and nephews.
Tony was the first baby born at Wood County Hospital in 1994. He enjoyed being outdoors, going fishing, and riding his 4-wheeler. Tony was always finding a project to do and loved to keep busy. Tony’s pride and joy was his son. He was the best daddy ever. Tony was a very hands-on dad and wanted the best for him. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

Julia is survived by her sons: Jonathon (Rhonda) Robinett, Marc (Cheryl) Robinett; grandchildren Ashley, Marc Jr., Troy, Cameron, Brandon, Logan, Morgan, Heather, Alyssa; seven great grandchildren; sisters: JoAnne Bergman, Pamela Casdorph-Jasmin; brother:Terry Fortney.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents and son Chris Robinett, and three brother: Lawrence Jr. Fortney, Thomas Fortney,  and Daniel “Ollie” Fortney.
Julia loved to play games especially Candy Crush Saga and Bingo. She enjoyed completing all types of puzzles – jigsaw, crossword, word searches and Sudoku. Julia loved to cook and you never needed an alarm clock in the morning, you could smell the biscuits baking. She enjoyed having family game nights and going on family outings.
Visitation for Julia will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green, Ohio. Funeral Services for Julia will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 12PM in the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow in Milton Township Cemetery. Roger Henry - April 18, 1939 - December 16, 2020

Obituary Preview: Roger Allen Henry of Deshler, OH formerly of Bowling Green, OH and Weston, OH passed away on December 16, 2020 at the age of 81.
Born on April 18, 1939 to the late Glenn F. and Ruby A. (DeWitt) Henry, he was preceded in death in January of this year by his wife Joyce Ann (Brown) Henry.  Roger and Joyce were married for 61 years and raised three sons.
He retired from the City of Bowling Green Electric Department and also worked independently.
He was a member of the Weston Church of Christ where he served as a Trustee and Deacon.
He played baseball and basketball, enjoyed watching sports, shooting and cards.
Surviving are Jeffrey (Sarah) Henry of Bowling Green, OH, Steven (Karen) Henry of Maumee, OH and Allen Henry of Deshler, OH, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be planned by the family in the upcoming spring.

Maria was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Hector and Enedia (Lebron) Morales on November 17, 1970.  Her love of her life was Derrick Peters whom she was to marry on May 8, 2021 and he survives.
Maria is survived by her significant other Derrick; sister Nuria Morales; and a host of other loving relatives. Maria was preceded in death by her parents.
Maria was known as a kind, respectful, generous, loving, and caring person. She was very special and was Derrick’s world.

George F Baty - December 11, 1939 - March 25, 2020

Obituary Preview: George Franklin Baty, 80, of Weston, Ohio passed away March 25, 2020. George was born on December 11, 1939 in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey to Joseph and Ann  Cardozo Baty. He was the oldest of three boys.
George grew up in Ohio and raised his family there.
As a young man, George was a Ham radio operator and an avid Boy Scout.  He loved the outdoors, especially bicycling, canoeing and camping.  He even made his own canoe in his youth. After graduating from Bowling Green State University, George married Mary Louise Heuer in Napoleon, Ohio in 1961. They promptly moved to East Lansing, Michigan where George attended Michigan State University in pursuit of a graduate degree in Chemistry.  While there, they had their first child, Barbara in 1963. They moved to Buffalo, NY where he worked at Bell Aerosystems.  In 1966, they gave birth to their second child Michael, “Mike”. George moved his growing family to his hometown of Weston, Ohio to work with his father at Cresset Chemical Company.  The following year (1969), they gave birth to their second daughter Ann Marie. He continued to grow Cresset to be the successful business it is today and retired as CEO. His marriage to Mary Lou ended in 1985 and he married Karen (Walker) McKenney on July 24, 1987.
Always active and interested in new things, he was a member of several clubs professionally and personally.  George was an American Concrete Institute Fellow along with other Concrete Industry Institutes including PCI and NPCA. He was a member the Elk’s Club, Toastmasters, the Bowling Green Curling Club, and CSI along with volunteering with Jr. Achievement.  Politics intrigued him and was always eager to talk about current events; he liked it so much, that in the seventies, he served on the Weston City Council. George’s other hobbies included photography, traveling, curling and puzzles. George had a sweet tooth and his favorite treat was chocolate chip cookies followed by brownies, with and without nuts. He ate them chewy or crunchy, but preferred chewy and no matter how full he was, there was always room for a cookie. He had a dry sense of humor and loved puns.  He had many sayings.  One of his favorites was “get yourself a pencil and draw yourself up a chair”.
George is survived by:  Brother, J. Bruce Baty: Children: Barbara (George) Spieth of Fort Meade, FL; Michael Baty of Grand Rapids, OH; Ann Marie (Robert) Jackson of Colorado Springs, CO; Grandchildren: Joseph “Joey” and daughter Mya; Bradley Tipton and daughter Natalie; Adam, Jennifer, Erin and Zachary Baty; Extended family:  Kristin (Garry) Monkman and their children Claire and Ryan; Lauren (William) Cedoz and their children Corey Smidi, Jeremiah, Andrew, and Bailey Cedoz;.
George was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years Karen Baty, brother Ralph Baty and grandson David J. Tipton.

Cletys Dyke - February 23, 1929 - March 12, 2020

Obituary Preview: Cletys Dyke, 91, of Weston, Ohio passed away March 12, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He wanted to be with Eleanor, as he missed her every day and was holding her picture when he passed away. Cletys was born on February 23, 1929 to the late Theron and Hazel (Junkins) Dyke on their farm in Weston, Ohio.
He married Eleanor Scaggs on June 21, 1946 in Napoleon, Ohio and they were married 72 years before she preceded him in death on November, 17, 2018.
Cletys was a farmer, a truck driver, and he worked for Campbell Soup, H.J. Heinz as well as hauling radishes for Tem Cole in McClure to Florida in the winter and to Michigan in the summer. He worked hard to always provide for his family. He loved farming and after he retired, he rode tractor/combine with the one who farmed his land and he missed farming when he had to stop. Cletys was always figuring on something whether it was a piece of paper, napkin, table, wood, etc. He loved to go camping along the Maumee River, even building his own truck camper. Cletys enjoyed boating, and waterskiing, and taught all of his children how to water ski and surf board even though he could not swim. Cletys loved traveling to Florida in their motor home and being on the beach and enjoying the heat in Florida. Cletys loved Eleanor and his family and he will be greatly missed by everyone.
Cletys is survived by her daughter: Colleen (Bob) Clark of Grand Rapids, Ohio; sons: Raymond (Tammy) Dyke of High Point, North Carolina; Frank (Mona) Dyke of Swanton, Ohio; William Dyke of McClure, Ohio; nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Cletys was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eleanor, son Ronald Eugene; sisters: Candace Williams and Eileen Bechstein.
Visitation for Cletys will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020 from 10:00 AM until the time of his funeral service at 12:00 PM in the Weston Church of Christ, 13355 Center Street, Weston, Ohio. Interment will immediately follow in Weston Cemetery.

Also surviving is son Chad Carpenter, siblings: Carol (Richard) Klotz, Gary (Diane) Carpenter, Sharon Walker, Roger Carpenter and LuAnn (Jim) DeMond; brother in laws Tom Newby and Ron Hoyt. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Lois Hoyt and Melva Newby and a brother in law Bob Walker.
John was a 1963 graduate of Eastwood High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked at BGSU in the Maintenance Department. John was a member of the Abiding Word Lutheran Church where he was a past Chairman and Trustee.  In 1994, John was award Weston Chamber Commerce Person of the Year.  John’s true passion was farming, he also enjoyed camping and watching RFD TV and having coffee with his friends every morning.

Richard was born in Stow, Ohio on July 28, 1932 to the late Walter and Mabel (Klein) Kline. He married Donalou Lashaway November 21, 1952 in Weston and she preceded him in death on January 8, 2010.
Richard is survived by his daughters: Pam (Andy) Garber, Cheryl Queen, Judy (Jon) Grabel; son Tim (Mary) Kline, 26 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild with 2 on the way; sister: Katherine Patricia Hasenbuhler.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna, and his 12 siblings.
Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and had been a member of the Alva N. Sidle American Legion Post #232 in Grand Rapids, Ohio. He owned his own welding business. Richard taught Sunday School for many years and served on the Board of Deacons for 45 years at Sonlight Assembly of God in Weston. Richard was known as a storyteller, like to play the guitar and sing songs. He had a large collection of pocket knives that he got from all over. Richard loved to ride horses and to go fishing. He took pride in his yard and like to mow his grass- sometimes every day to make it look perfect. His family was very important to him and he will be greatly missed by everyone.

Donald Haas - November 14, 1935 - December 10, 2019

Obituary Preview: Donald Haas, 84, of Custar, Ohio passed away on December 10, 2019. Donald was born on November 14, 1935 to the late Harvey and Mae (Emerick) Haas in Custar, Ohio. He married Connie Miller on November 4, 1961 in Monroe, Michigan and she survives.
Donald is survived by his daughter Jacquelyn (Rich) Spangenberg; sons: Gary Haas, Dan (Kendal) Haas; grandchildren: Jacob, Erin, Grace, and Tyler. Along with his parents, Donald was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Donald proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He worked for Hawthorn Melody Dairy as a forklift operator and for the Bowling Green City Schools as a custodian. Donald loved all sports, but his passion was baseball. His favorite teams were the Detroit Tigers or the Cleveland Indians (whichever was having a better season.) His children were very important to him and he loved spending time with them as they were growing up. During the summer, they enjoyed boating, waterskiing and swimming in the Maumee River and during the winter they would go ice skating, sledding, and have bonfires at the Jackson Cutoff near their house. Donald loved to go the lake, and ride roller coasters at Cedar Point. Donald and Connie loved to spend time with their grandchildren and took care of all four when they were small. Donald’s most important love was his tractors, especially his INTERNATIONAL M Tractor.  He will be greatly missed by everyone.
Visitation for Donald will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 20375 E. Taylor Street, Weston, Ohio 43569. Interment with Military Honors will immediately follow in Milton Township Cemetery.

Obituary Preview: Lois A.M. Lashaway, 94, of Custar, Ohio passed away November 2, 2019. She was born on October 3, 1925 to the late F. Jay and Marie (Holzhauer) Lashaway in Weston, Ohio. Lois was 18 days old when her mother passed away in 1925.
Lois, along with her father and twin sister and brother Rachel and Matthew; and her 4-year-old brother Nathan, moved in with her grandparents who helped raise all of them in the Weston, Ohio area.
Lois graduated from the Milton Township School in 1943. She became the organist at the Weston United Methodist Church and continued there for many years. Lois worked on the family farm helping to raise the livestock and also gave piano lessons to many children in the Weston area. Lois was also an avid reader. She had been at the Oak Grove Nursing Home for many years and just recently moved to the Meadows of Ottawa.
Lois is survived by her sister Rachel Lashaway and special friend Pat McCance. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Nathan and Michael Lashaway.
Visitation for Lois will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 11:00 AM until the time of her funeral service at 12:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 20375 E. Taylor Street, Weston, Ohio. Interment will immediately follow in Weston Cemetery.

Carol was born on February 26, 1948 to the late Gerald L. and Thelma Louise (Metzger) Kronberg in Toledo, Ohio. She married Ronald Lugabihl on August 8, 1987 in Weston, Ohio and he survives.
Carol is survived by her husband Ron; daughter Shara (Kirk) Asmus; son Jerry (Chris) Robinson; grandchildren: Kylie Asmus, Hailey Asmus, Blayne Robinson, Eric (Lisa) & Kyle Leonard; great grandchildren Eli, Aria, and Harper.
For Carol, God was the most important part of her life; he was always first in her life above anything else. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Bowling Green and previously was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Weston for many years. Carol graduated from Otsego High School in 1966.  She Carol was a hairdresser by trade. She worked with her mother at Thelma’s Beauty Shop in Weston for many years and after the shop closed, she loved to do hair for the residents at Bowling Green Manor. Carol also worked as a telephone operator in Bowling Green. She enjoyed watching the Ohio State Football games and cheering on the Detroit Lions. She was known by all as a caring, giving, helping and passionate person. Carol loved to spend time with her many friends and school friends going out to dinner and attending reunions. She loved to cook and bake and she was known for her cutout sugar cookies.  Carol enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their many high school sporting events. Her family was very important to her and she was a loving wife and friend to Ron. She will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation for Carol will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 20375 E. Taylor Street, Weston, Ohio. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 9:00 AM until the time of her funeral service at 10:00 AM at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 315 S. Along with his wife, Jim is survived by his daughter: Jennifer Sue Anderson of Bowling Green; son: Todd (Amanda Pauff) Anderson of Weston; grandchildren: Brayden & Neaveh; sisters: Judy Strayer & Sandy Price; and brother: Gary Anderson. Jim was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth R. Anderson.
Jim served our country in the US Army and later owned BG Collison. He was member of the American Legion post #409. He would work for hours on end on his yard, making sure it was perfect. He enjoyed camping, playing horseshoes, mushroom hunting, and rooting for The Ohio State Buckeyes. Eleanor was a longtime member of the Weston Church of Christ. She was the typical farm wife helping out where ever she was needed. Eleanor loved traveling to Florida in their motor home and being on the beach as well as boating and camping along the Maumee River. She loved to square dance and belonged to the Square Dance Club in Weston for many years. Eleanor was always on the move, was always upbeat, and loved helping and caring for others. Her family was the most important part of her life and she will be greatly missed by all.
Eleanor is survived by her husband of 72 years, Cleyts; daughter: Colleen (Bob) Clark of Grand Rapids, Ohio; sons: Raymond (Tammy) Dyke of High Point, North Carolina; Frank (Mona) Dyke of Swanton, Ohio; William Dyke of McClure, Ohio; nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Frank Rado, and son Ronald Eugene.
