Luella Beckwith (Young) "Grandma Lu" of Marlbank at age 103. Predeceased by her husband Nick Beckwith. Her legacy lives on in her daughters Linda Lister (late Tom) of Toronto; Sandi Nischuk (late John) of Sturgis, Saskatchewan and in her son Glenn Beckwith (Diane) of Renfrew. Grandmother to Scott (Joy); Catherine (Alex); Thomas; and Pam (Mike). Great-grandmother to Greg (Katrina), Christina and Chase and great-great grandmother to Parker. Special friend to Luella were Helen, Brenda and Cally. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to celebrate her life. Many thanks to the Personal Support Workers, Doctors, Nurses and caregivers who looked after her in her later years. A gathering of family and friends will be at the Hannah Funeral Home in Tamworth (613-379-2997) on Friday, October 27 from 10:00 a.m., with Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Reidville Cemetery, followed by Reception in the Funeral Home. Passed away in peace in his 100th year, at the Golden Plough Lodge in Cobourg, on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Harold Alexander (Alex) Adair born on August 17, 1923 in Tamworth, Ontario. As a member of "B" Company of the Queens Own Rifles, Alex landed on Juno Beach on D-Day, and he survived to live a long and full life. Predeceased by his parents, Reg Adair and Jean Adair (ne Adams), and by his younger siblings, Mary Cousins (Ray) and Thomas Adair. Former husband of Mary (May) Brownlie Adair. They remained close, especially in their later years, until her death in November 2022, also in her 100th year. Loving father of Elaine Adair of Richmond, B.C., and Kevin Adair of Brampton. In addition to his daughter and son, Alex is survived by his grandchildren Harmony (Trevor), Jesse (Priscilla), Spencer and MacKenzie, and six great-grandchildren. A Military Funeral Service will be held at the Hannah Funeral Home in Tamworth on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Christ Church Cemetery. Reception follows in the funeral home. Sean grew up in Vineland, Ontario and spent over 20 years living in Northumberland County. He was an electrician by trade and was active in the local amateur radio community (VA3HD). He spent many happy summers at the family cottage on White Lake, where he enjoyed countless hours on his Sea Doo. Sean loved cats and shared his life with many over the years. He will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Service to Celebrate His Life will be held at the Selby United Church, 153 Pleasant Drive in Selby, on Saturday June 29 at 1 PM, the family will receive friends from 12 PM.
