Obituary Preview: Dorothy Mae Perry to Lucy Jane Perry and loving placed in the care of her adoptive parents Rev. Julia S. Richmond and Rudy Richmond with a note that we were told tenderly read "Please take care of my baby". Dorothy was herself raised in fear and admonition of the  Lord: A tradition that she would pass down to all future generations to come. She was educated in the Durham Public School System and last attended Merrick Moore. Her last employment was that of a private duty caregiver.
Her childhood and former years were spent attached at the hip of her mother Julia; which meant weekly prayer meeting at various church members houses, feeding the homeless all over East Durham, baptisms in local lakes on Saturdays and aywhere from 2 to 3 services on Sundays. It was at one these church meeting that she met her future husband, Isaiah  Parrish (who preceded her in death) and who was a faithful churchgoer as well.

A special friend Wanda and her grandson King.
