Obituary Preview: Helen (Stameris) Antonopoulos, 94, of Milton passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 in Scottsdale, AZ.
Born September 3, 1927, in Brookline, MA. Helen was the youngest of 4 children born to the late Arthur and Theoni (Manousos) Stameris.
Beloved wife of 57 years to the late George Antonopoulos.  She is survived by her two daughters, Diane Christias and her husband Lefteri; and Irene Zafferes and her husband James; also survived by her three grandchildren, Diane Gent and her husband Adam; Alexis Zafferes and her fiancé Jonathan Roth; Stavros Christias and his wife Devnie; and great grandson, Zachary Gent.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews both here in the United States and in Greece.
Her Orthodox faith and Greek heritage were of paramount importance to her. She worked tirelessly to preserve and perpetuate both of these through the many organizations she supported throughout her lifetime. Helen was the driving force who started the local Greek school in Quincy, MA, from which grew the founding members of St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in Wollaston, MA (now in Braintree, MA). She was a lifelong active member of the Church and the Ladies Philoptochos Society.  She was also a Life Member and a Board of Trustee of The Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canton, MA.  She was an active fundraiser for the Hellenic Children's Cardiac Fund at Boston Children's Hospital.  Her career as a travel agent spanned 45 years.
Helen and her late husband, George, enjoyed entertaining family and friends and had many holidays and gatherings in their home throughout the years.
A viewing will be held at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 119 Common St., Braintree, MA 02184 on Thursday, April 28, from 9:30AM-11:00AM, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Burial will be at Milton Cemetery.

Preceded in death by her mother Helen Loureio, her Step-Father John Loureio, her Father Manuel Santos, and her siblings Diane Arruda and Ronald John Santos.
Katherine is survived by her children Susie Ann Morgan and her husband Christopher, Robert Mitchell Ballard Jr., and Denise Lee Rudnicki. She leaves behind her grandchildren Alexandra, Cameron, Damian, Drew, David, Michaela, Courtney, Michael, and her great grandson Quincy. Katherine also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. She loved her family and her favorite thing was to see her grandchildren grow into great young men and women.
Katherine started out as a seamstress before she took on the role of a stay at home mother.  She loved animals and had many cats throughout her life and would often enjoy watching the birds from out her windows. Katherine loved to color in her coloring books, read, listen to music, and watch movies.
The family would like to thank the staff at New England Sinai Hospital for the wonderful love and care they showed Katherine over the last 21 years.
Memorial Visitation will be Thursday April 21, 2022 from 10-11 am followed by a Funeral at 11 am at Hamel Lydon Chapel and Cremation Service of MA, 650 Hancock Street in Quincy. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Bedford, MA. Mom, we will miss you greatly!! We take solace in knowing you are no longer in pain. You have been a fighter and stayed with us longer than we thought you would. You have now joined the rest of your family your mom, dad, sister and brother.  Now we have another guardian angel watching over us all! Love you. - Susie, Chris, Alexandra and Cameron

Denio, “Pop Pop”, 63, of Boylston, Massachusetts passed away on April 7, 2022 at the home he shared with his daughter.  Michael leaves many behind that love and will miss him including his spouse Beverly Denio of Berlin, and his beloved children, daughter Michelle Denio of Boylston; sons Michael E. Denio of Clinton; Joseph Denio and his wife Anna of Berlin, Patrick Denio of Berlin; sisters Maryellen Johnson of Clinton and Maureen Denio of Templeton; brothers Richard Denio of Shrewsbury and William Denio of Jacksonville, FL and his two grandchildren Luciano and Giana of Berlin.
Michael was born in Clinton, MA to the late Richard and Maureen (Scanlon) Denio of Lancaster on August 9, 1958.  Michael grew up in Lancaster and was a Graduate of Nashoba Regional High School in 1976, where he was a pitcher for the Nashoba Chieftains baseball team.  He later attended Quinsigamond Community College where he studied Accounting and worked at Westboro State Hospital for 30 years, managing patient funds.  His favorite part of his job was interacting with patients and getting to know them.
He was an avid sports fan and followed all of Boston sports religiously, especially the Bruins and Red Sox.  As a teenager he organized many street hockey games with his friends in his parent’s driveway and later coached a Lancaster little league team for several years.  His other passions included fishing, trivia and movies.  Michael also had a great sense of humor and the ability to make light of any situation with jokes and an infectious laugh.
Per Michael’s wishes, there will not be any public services. The family is planning a private celebration of his life.  Donations can be made in Michael’s honor to Good Sports, a charity that combines Michael’s love for sports and children at https://www.goodsports.org/ or by mailing a check payable to Good Sports, Inc., 1515 Washington Street, Suite 300, Braintree, MA 02184.

Obituary Preview: Mary T. Parma, was born August 2, 1921.  She was 100 when she went home to the Lord on April 2, 2022.
She was the widow of Daniel J. Parma, and Mother of daughter Carol A. Haverly and son Joseph Parma.
Over the years Mary attended art classes and painted with both oils and acrylics.  She was also a proficient pencil artist.  Her other love was in sewing clothing and home furnishings.  She also quilted, knitted and crocheted.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Haverly and her husband Henry of Lakeville, MA and Hobe Sound, FL and her son Joseph Parma and his wife Jean of Lakeville, MA and Bonita Springs, FL.  She is also survived by two grandsons, Daniel and Scott and they loved her dearly.  In addition, she is survived by three great-granddaughters, a great grandson and four great, great-granddaughters who all brought her great joy. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Among her 5 brothers Charlie, David, Robert, Joseph, Arthur and Gerard, she is survived by her brother Joseph Vogel of Tallahassee, FL who is a Veteran of WWII.

Shu He, 98, of Quincy passed away on April 1, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born on March 20, 1924, in Jilin, China to the late Ze-Heng He and Shi He-Zhu. She will be missed by all for her kindness and loving nature.
Shu grew up in Jilin, Northern China and graduated from Jilin High School For Girls. She attended Da-Lian Business Institute majoring in Accounting. She worked for many years as an accountant in The Horticulture Institute in Harbin, China. In addition to her artistic talents in singing, stage performing, and writing, she had great passions and tastes of sewing and tailoring, and made beautiful dresses for her five daughters when they were young. She was a strong, protective mother. Together with her husband, they raised two successful college graduates, and then she continued to raise three younger daughters to complete their college studies with her little salary on her own during the most difficult time when she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Xing-Han Zhang, who passed way after a battle of stomach cancer in 1980.
Shu is survived by her five daughters: Hui Zhang of San Diego CA, Li Zhang of Quincy MA, Helen Hong Zhang and her husband Alex Cheng of Houston TX, Xin Zhang and her husband Xiang-Tao Tan of Harbin China, and Qun Zhang and her husband Xian-Fang Sun of Windsor Canada. Shu is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Shu was predeceased by her brother Li-Ting He. We are blessed to have had Shu in our lives as our mother. Her memories will FOREVER live in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Mother, WE LOVE YOU! 卜告:缅怀妈妈,何淑 98岁的妈妈,在2022年4月1曰永远离开了我们。她在亲人的怀抱里安详的闭上双眼,告别了爰她,孝敬她的女儿们;告别了她疼爱的亲人们。 妈妈出生于1924年3月20日。爸爸何泽恒,母亲何朱氏,还有哥哥何鲤庭。妈妈从小聪明好学。小学时以优异的成绩通过高年级考核而跳级一年。高中时就读于吉林女子国高,说一口流利的日语。毕业后在吉林一所小学任教。她与我们的爸爸张兴翰结为夫妻,一同养育了5个女儿。大女儿张卉及其子女定居于美国加州,二女儿张励和家人生活在美国麻州,三女儿张虹和她的先生程跃及儿女生活在美国德州,四女儿张昕和她的先生潭湘涛生活在中国哈尔滨,他们儿子一家生活在美国加州,五女儿张群和她的先生孙宪芳及他们的儿子定居加拿大。 妈妈一生积极上进,对学业刻苦自励。成家后又考进大连财经学院会计专业。一边攻读,一边工作及照顾家庭。而后在黑龙江省园艺研究所任会计师多年,十分敬业。妈妈不仅美貌,而且十分聪明能干。她能歌,善表演, 写得一手好诗文,又做得一手好缝纫。小时候我们总是穿着妈妈亲手设计并裁制的连衣裙。妈妈被研究所里的同事们称为"大学妈妈",因为她和爸爸在那段艰辛的历史时期一起培育了两个大学生,更令人感叹的是她在1980年爸爸因胃癌去世后又独自用她微薄的收入供养叁个女儿大学毕业。妈妈对女儿们无私的付出,疼爱,保护,及培育,令我们受益终生。 妈妈在2003年移居美国。她唯一的哥哥多年前病故。现留有一对女儿、一个儿子,他们的子孙都己长大成人。 妈妈走了。留下的是她那美丽的一生,还有,我们对她无尽的思念。她那灿烂的笑容,委婉的歌声,夕阳下休闲漫步的身影,将永远铭刻在我们的记忆里。 妈妈,愿您在天堂安息,我们永远爱您。

Theresa was born in Boston on June 7, 1927, the daughter of the late Michael and Lillian (Orpen) Welch. She grew up in Charlestown.   Theresa was a homemaker who cared for her loving family above all else.  Theresa will be remembered for her fun loving, nurturing spirit and her good sense of humor.  Theresa is the devoted wife of the late Francis X Lang. Devoted mother of Francis X. Lang and his wife Deborah of Readville. Theresa (Lang) Whalen of Charlestown and the late Noreen (Lang) Durham and Michael Lang. Landers (Streile) 82, of Yarmouth, MA, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2022.  Born in Connecticut, the only child of the late Edward A. and Florence J. Streile.  Barbara was the wife of the late Arthur Landers and is survived by her daughter, Joy E. Landers and her husband, Charles H. Lufkin as well as a niece, Susan Howe.
Barbara graduated from Newton High School and worked for several years at Honeywell where she met her beloved husband, Arthur, of forty-eight years. Barbara enjoyed a fulfilling life with Arthur in Marlboro where she remained a resident for fifty years before moving to Cape Cod to enjoy living close by to her daughter, son-in-law and all the furry grandchildren; Boxers - Duffy, Delilah and cats, Dominic and Diego.  Barbara enjoyed the Cape life with lengthy visits to the beach with a good book, enjoying a good meal at the many Cape Cod restaurants and delicious back yard barbeques, prepared by her son-in-law, with family and friends. She loved to knit and thoroughly enjoyed the company and rapport with the knitting gatherings she hosted at her home and was an avid fan of watching old movies.

Rachel Marie Cyr - January 21, 1927 - March 21, 2022

Obituary Preview: Rachel Cyr, 95, a longtime Quincy resident and a beloved “Nurse’s Nurse” for many years at the former Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing died peacefully at Hancock Park assisted living on March 21, 2022, following a period of declining health.
Raised in Van Buren, Maine where she was educated in Catholic schools and graduated from Madigan Memorial Hospital with a Professional Degree in Nursing.
The youngest of five children born to the late Leo N. and Laura (Martin) Poirier, Rachel was preceded in death by her husband Claude L. Cyr. She is survived by her two sons, James Cyr of Boston and Nicholas Cyr, and his wife Karen of Quincy. Cherished Grandmother to Erica Cyr, Nicholas Cyr Jr., Bryan Cyr, Ashley Cyr, and Michelle Cyr.  Beloved great-grandmother of Noah, Brynn, Jaelyn, Kylie, Athea, Owen, and Mya. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and her large circle of Quincy Medical Center family.
Rachel moved to Quincy in September 1966 after accepting a position with then Quincy City Hospital as an operating room nurse; a position she later would recount as her favorite job in the hospital. She later went on to serve as a school nurse for Quincy City Hospital’s Nursing Program, continuing on for several years as a Nursing Supervisor after the nursing school closed, before retiring in January 1990.
She enjoyed cooking, knitting and reading. She is a devoted grandmother, the matriarch, and the anchor of her extended family. Rachel will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 11:00 am—1:00 pm at the Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock St, Quincy. Private interment will take place at the MA National Cemetery at Bourne.
