Obituary Preview: Samuel Joseph Corbett, 73, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, OH., following a short bought with cancer. Sam was born and raised in Marietta, OH., the son of the late Olen G Corbett Sr. and Grace Bever. Sam  co-owned Corbett Appliance and Furniture with his brother and business partner Glen Corbett and has always enjoyed his work and talking with his customers. He loved his animals Chloe, Whiskers, and Sissy; enjoyed watching car shows, mowing the grass and was a connoisseur of baked beans. He loved boating on the Ohio River floating downstream with friends and family and being outdoors.
Sam took great pride in a good day’s work, loved working on his Corvette's and helped friends and family whenever possible. Throughout his long career, he forged many friendships that lasted a lifetime at not only Corbett Appliance and Furniture but C&C Dodge Toyota and Marietta Memorial Hospital (Selby).
He is survived by his two sons, Jamie Corbett (Tanya Gibbs) and Casey Corbett both of Marietta, OH., and his companion and love of his life Cheryl Worthington also of Marietta; his sister Judy Cassidy; his two step sisters Leanne Delaney and Caroline Aquadro; grandchild Colin Corbett and many close friends: Staci Ritchie, Kristi and Matt Starkey, Cody Zimmer and Madison Starkey.

She was born December 13th, 1949 in Welch, West Virginia to Dr. Joseph E. LaBarre and Evelyn M. LaBarre. She married her high school sweetheart Steven D. Zoller on March 28th, 1969. She is survived by her daughter Kerri K. Zoller (Dean) Brooker of Waterford, OH and her son Douglas A. (Leann) Zoller of St. Charles, IL. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Katelyn (Jake) Gray, Cody Brooker, Madison Zoller, Grace Zoller, Quinn Zoller and step great grandchildren, Jayla and Colt Gray.
She graduated from Marietta High School in 1968 and worked as Office Administrator for several local companies. Her greatest job was being a mother to her two children and watching over her grandchildren, Katelyn and Cody. She was a loving mother who always put her children’s needs before her own. She loved to camp and sit around by an open fire with friends and family. Debbie loved dogs having 13 over the past 55 years with each one holding a special place in her heart.
Debbie was proceeded in death by her brothers Joseph (Joe) R. Labarre and William (Bill) E. LaBarre.

Obituary Preview: Sandra “Sandy” Durlene Mitchell Lane, 70, of Williamstown, WV, earned her angel wings Friday, February 23, 2024. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will be observed with no services.
Sandy arrived in this world on July 17, 1953, in Marietta, Ohio, to the late Charles and Dorothy Mitchell. She was the youngest child of her surviving siblings, Phil (MaryAnn) Mitchell, and Sharon (Jim) Wingrove. Sandy leaves behind her husband of 35 years, Eugene Lane; her daughter, Jennifer Slate (Jason) Lang; two stepsons, Paul Lane and Heath (Heather) Lane; grandchildren, Jennessa & Jassandra Lang, Piper & Karson Lane, Paytan & Parker Lane.
She graduated from Marietta High School in 1971. She worked many years for, and retired from, the law office of Davidson, Heckler, Riggs and Fouss.
Well known for her chatty nature and friendly personality, Sandy never met a stranger and could converse with anyone. Whether it was roller skating, swimming, a party or a picnic, spending time with family was when she was happiest. Sandy was the constant supporter and biggest fan to her family, including each of her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Always the encouraging face in the crowd, she made an effort to attend numerous extracurricular activities. She enjoyed taking pictures, documenting many family gatherings and functions.
Sandy’s genuine smile, unmeasured love, and unfaltering support will be missed by many. She leaves a hole that will forever remain empty.
The family wants to thank the Marietta Memorial Hospital nurses and doctors in the ICU Unit.
Her family will have a celebration of her life at a later date.

He was a graduate of Frontier High School in the class of 1970. He was employed by the Peoples Savings Bank in New Matamoras and then became the Branch Manager for their Newport, Ohio Branch Bank.
On May 5, 1977, he married Donna Morris who survives with one son Russell Wickline (Kristen) of Marietta, Ohio and one daughter Jennifer Boice (Ian) of Parkersburg, WV., and four grandchildren, Lillia and Kaden Boice and Ethan and Wyatt Wickline, one sister Rita June Hoskins of Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Alice Ann Alloway.
Funeral services will be held at the Hadley Funeral Home, 1021 Pike Street, Marietta, Ohio on Tuesday February 20, 2024, at      11:00 A.M. with David Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Matamoras Cemetery, New Matamoras, Ohio.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the services.

Obituary Preview: Lorren McKinley Miller, 43, of Belpre, OH passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Hospice of Central Ohio at OSU Wexner Medical Center. He was born on October 20, 1980 to Ronald Miller and Deborah Phelps (Malone) and was blessed with a bonus mom, Joyce Miller, and bonus dad, Fred Malone.
He married the love of his life, Kathleen Miller on March 31, 2018. He was blessed to have seven beautiful children call him Dad. Olyvia West (Alex), Anna Miller, Dillion Miller, Robbie Wallace, Bailey Slider, Jaiden Miller and Izzy Miller. Lorren became a “Pappy” for the first time to Elijah West in January 2024.
Lorren was a graduate of Fort Frye High School and had worked as a driver for WeCare Medical.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Miller; his bonus father, Fred Malone; paternal grandparents, George and Eloise Miller' maternal grandparents, Ralph and Joan Phelps; bonus grandparents, Carl and Wilma Ludolph.
Lorren was loved and admired by so many friends and family and will be greatly missed and always loved. His “tribe” has vowed to always look out for and love his family here on earth.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta, OH with Pastor Ron Hendershot officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 PM on Monday, February 12, 2024 at the funeral home.
