Sassi Davila - September 19, 2019 - October 26, 2019

Departed: 10/26/2019 (Toledo)
Obituary Preview: Sassi Davila passed away at home on October 26, 2019 at the age of 16. She was born on 9/18/03 in Toledo, Ohio. She was adopted from The Humane Society in March, 2004 at the age of six months. Sassi chose her human that day at The Humane Society. That day, as her human peered into the cage, a playful kitty gently knocked the hat off of her head. Her human placed the hat back on and Sassi did it again. She asked to bond with Sassi for a bit. When they got into the room together, The kitty ignored her human throughout the "bonding" time; hence the name Sassi was given. Sassi was known for being independent and in charge. She directed activities within her home and often let you know when she wanted or needed something. It was not uncommon for Sassi to wake her humans in the middle of the night to be petted. She loved joining her Mom on work calls and making her presence known with continuous meowing and kitty shouting.
Sassi was a loyal companion. She could sense when someone needed extra love and support. As a young kitty, she loved playing fetch with toy mice, sunning her belly and showing off her pinky paw. Every Christmas, she would drag her kiss kiss bears up the Christmas Tree and play with ornaments. As Sassi matured, she enjoyed napping, sunning on her window perch, eating treats and snuggling with her Mom. Sassi had a big heart but only shared with a chosen few. She loved being the center of attention and being told that she was the best kitty in the whole world.
She is survived by her parents, Joe and Jean Davila, sisters Simone and LuLu, many Aunts, Uncles and human/dog/kitty cousins. She will always be in our hearts.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Habegger Funeral Services.

Buckshot Ramey - January 11, 2011 - February 10, 2017

Departed: 02/10/2017 (Toledo)
Obituary Preview: Buckshot Ramey went to kitty heaven on Friday February 10, 2017 in Bethel, Maine. He was a sweet, cuddly, playful, curious and sometimes mischievous kitty. If you ever visited you are sure to know that Bucky was friendly and always ended up on your lap wanting attention. He often would go to his box of kitty toys and take something out to see if friends wanted to play with him. Buck was 6 years old.
Buck was with me through some of the most toughest times in my life, but also some of the best. He sat by my side as I finished my last two years of college, hopped in my suitcase whenever I was getting ready to pack for a trip, calmed me as a 23 year relationship ended, and has been my alarm clock for several years as he always wanted his treats first thing in the morning. After missing for 8 days after a horrible house fire, Buck returned to my condo and I found him sleeping under my bed in perfect condition.
With the most horrible aching pain in my chest that is almost unbearable I have to say goodbye to a kitty who brought me so much enjoyment, company and cuddles. He fought his best fight, and used up all of his 9 lives in a short amount of time unfortunately.
It really has been a joy to have been his mommy for the last 4 years and 3 months. Bucky Boy, Kitty Brother, Bucky Bear, A Million Bucks, Baby Boy, Buckstar and after the fire Super Kitty, were just some of his nicknames.
Some of Buck’s favorite pastimes were napping, sleeping, resting, laying around, meowing for treats, knitting while laying on his mommy, jumping up on the counter and watching nature programs. Buck will always stay in my heart and will be remembered for is sweetness. I hope they have kitty treats in heaven and warm sunshine
Buck leaves behind a brother, Gregory Ramey, Father Jay and Mother Janet. He will be missed greatly. Thanks to our special friend Nora who was with me when I had to take Bucky today, and is the reason we adopted him in the first place. She was Buck’s first Mommy until he was adopted. Rest in Peace Buckshot!!!!
