She was a dedicated member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church where she served as church clerk for many years. She enjoyed sewing beautiful dresses & clothes for herself, her daughter, Amy, and all of her grandchildren. After retirement she began quilting and made many amazing quilts and wall hangings, and was a member of the Batting Brigade Quilt Guild. She loved cooking for her family especially making Sunday dinner and birthday cakes. He was known as “Brad” to his family, friends, and co-workers. He was an only child of Barbara White and father Anthral Copeland. Brad’s “dad” Randall White was his loving “dad” that helped to raise him and teach him many good and useful things.
He is survived by his mother Barbara White and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather and numerous family members.
Brad graduated High School from Elkhart Central High School in Elkhart, Indiana. He attended vocational school classes to learn his trade of a skilled machinist. His current place of employment was with M & J Precision in Decatur, AL as a machinist.
Brad has several hobbies including rebuilding tractors and other machinery. He owned land where he would spend hours cutting, raking, and baling hay. He had plans to restore a “72” Camaro that he had purchased. Brad also loved to help anyone in need from ordering parts for tractors and vehicles and helping repair them on occasion.
Brad was a loving son and his mother’s best friend and he never left her in times of need. They were each other’s “rock” and strength.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
