Dennis spent his childhood in Farson and Basin Wyoming. He attended & graduated from high school in Basin and it was here where he met the love of his life, Peggy Gould, whom he married in 1962. He attended the University of Wyoming, studying engineering, and started his career with US Bureau of Reclamation in Kansas. He became a firm Coloradan the remainder of his life. Dennis loved his family and friends, motorcycles, scuba diving, fly fishing, and racketball. He took many motorcycle trips across the country and shared some exciting stories of close encounters on the road, one of which landed him in the hospital.
