Obituary Preview: Marjorie K. Seybert, 87, of Titusville, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community. Marjorie was born on April 16, 1936, in Fairmont, WV to the late Ralph E. and Clara K. Alltop Carpenter She married Dr. Shanley J. Seybert on April 7, 1954. She was a graduate of East Forest High School in Marienville, Class of 1954. Marjorie worked with her husband managing the office for Seybert Chiropractic. Marjorie enjoyed her family especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved working in her flower gardens and trading plants with her daughter Susan, watching and feeding her birds, and loved traveling with Shanley when they were able. She spent the colder months making beautiful cross stich pictures. She is survived by her husband Dr. Shanley J. Seybert of Titusville; two children, Shanley Paul Seybert and wife Christine of Meadville, and Susan Diane Seybert of Port Matilda, PA; four grandchildren, Amy Seybert, Jeff Seybert, Shannon Stewart and husband Jeff, and Matthew Shuffstall; and three great grandchildren, Karlie and Carte Stewart, and Kylie Shuffstall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Alan Seybert. Services will be private to the family. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Robert Porky Piskurich - July 28, 1936 - January 25, 2024

Obituary Preview: Robert S. “Porky” Piskurich, 87, of Tidioute, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 25, 2024 at Warren General Hospital in Warren, PA.
Porky was born on July 28, 1936 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Stephen and Barbara Rubinich Piskurich. He was married to Agnes Slattery who preceded him in death.
Porky had been employed as a postal worker in Pittsburgh from where he retired. Following his retirement, he moved to Tidioute, PA where he enjoyed sitting outside viewing the Allegheny River and the wildlife surrounding him.
He was a veteran having served in the US Army. Porky was a member of the VFW and American Legion posts in Tidioute, PA.
He is survived by his loving family which includes his daughter, Karen Piskurich and husband Douglas Hallam of Bowie, MD; two grandsons, Quin Robert William Hallam and Collin Slattery Hallam; a brother, Stephen S. Piskurich of Pittsburgh; and nieces and nephews, Stephen, Michael, Pamela and Sheila Piskurich; and close friend, John Abate.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert J. Piskurich.
No public visitation or service will be observed.  A celebration of his life will be held this summer in Tidioute, PA at a time and place to be announced.

Brandi was born on February 25, 1972 in Titusville, PA, a daughter of the late Daniel J. Dowling, Sr. and Suzanne Weber Walls.
Brandi was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1990. She had also attended the former St. Titus School.
She was married to Ronald D. Hannah on October 5, 2013 at Heart’s Content.
Brandi had been employed as an assistant manager at the former Eckerd’s Drug Store in Titusville. She had also been employed at the former Dowling Hotel in Titusville.
Brandi enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, rodeos, and traveling with her husband on the motorcycle.
Brandi is survived by her husband of Tidioute; children, Tori Prenatt Mead and husband George of Youngsville, and Francesca Aiello of Ridgway; grandchildren, Kylie Hillard, Elliott Mead and George Mead IV; a brother Daniel Dowling, Jr. of Orlando, FL; a sister Lisa Hall and husband Evan of Millis, MA; several nieces and nephews which includes Kelsee Wescoat and husband Andy, and Mary Hawk, all of Titusville; and several great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Grant Walls; and a sister, Kara Sue “Pete” Dowling.
No public calling hours will be observed.
Friends are invited to a celebration of her life on Saturday, January 27th at the Tidioute Volunteer Fire Department social hall from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.

She was a homemaker and in her younger years worked for GTE Sylvania in Pleasantville. She was a former member of the Titusville First Assembly of God Church. Audrey enjoyed traveling and going to auctions with her husbands. She loved attending family reunions for both the McIver and Acel families. Audrey is survived by five grandchildren, Kyle Acel and wife Heather, Kevin Acel and wife Dawn, Korey Acel and wife Jaime, Tammy Acel Smith, Ryan Acel, and Charity Mondak; and numerous great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Acel. Audrey was preceded in death by three sons, David, Keith, and Kenneth Acel; and a brother Forrest M. "Pete" McIver; and nine brothers and sisters. Services will be private to the family. Interment will be at Kerr Hill Cemetery.

Mary Ellen worked GTE Sylvania, then later as a milk tester for DHIA, she was also a cook in several local restaurants. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, sewing, solving crossword puzzles, watching Steelers football, and spending time with her great grandchildren. Mary Ellen is survived by her three daughters, Lorraine Burrows and husband Duane of Titusville, Robin Edwards and husband Terry of Centerville, and Traci Connnolly of Erie; five grandchildren, Tara (Steve) Spangler, Joshua (Renea) Burrows, Amanda (Josh) Lynch, Lee (Krista) Anthony, Ezra (Crissy) McWilliams; 16 great grandchildren; a sister Merleen Steele; and a brother Harold (Margaret) Reynolds; and several nieces and nephews. John "Jack" F. Weaver - March 06, 1943 - January 16, 2024

Obituary Preview: John “Jack” Weaver, 80, of Pleasantville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, January 16, 2024, at his residence.
Jack was born on March 6, 1943, in Titusville, to the late Merle and Margaret Kelly Weaver. He was married to Jane F. Meagher on April 23, 1971, at St. Walburga Church.
Jack was a graduate of Titusville High School. He worked at Colonial Machine in Pleasantville continued working there for 43 years as machinists and retired as head of the tool room.
He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army Airborne.  He entered the service on April 29, 1965 and was honorably discharged on April 28, 1967 at Fort Campbell, KY with the rank of sergeant.
The fire department played an important role in Jack’s life. He was a firefighter for Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department (Dept. 16) for over 50 years, 26 years of that 50 he was chief. He was an instructor for the Venango/Crawford Fire School. He was on the Venango County Chiefs Association. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 368. He was a member of the Color Guard. He was member of the VFW #5958. He was a lifetime member of the Titusville Moose Club #84. He was a member of St. Walburga Catholic Church.
Jack loved spending time with family and friends. He had a special friend, Jeremy Brandon, who looked to Jack as a father figure. He looked forward to family gatherings.
He is survived by his wife, Jane, of 52 years. Three daughters, DeAnna Sopher and her husband Jamie of Meadville, PA, Theresa Ingerson and her fiancé Rob of Irvine, PA, and Trisha Leach and her husband, DJ of Pleasantville, PA; four grandchildren, Michael Weaver, Erin Sopher, Adrienne Sopher, and Abigail Leach; one great-grandchild, Amelia Weaver. He is also survived by three sisters, Nancy Drusko, late husband, Bob, Sue Enright and husband Ron, Shirley Snyder, late husband Sonny, and one brother, Tom Weaver and his wife, Carol, all of them from Titusville, PA; three brothers-in-law, Randy Miller of Mercer, PA; Pat Meagher, late wife Kristy of Pleasantville and James Meagher and his wife Edna of Circle City, AZ, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother James Weaver, Sr., and his wife, Mildred, Margaret “Peg” Miller, and a sister-in-law Kathy Roggenkamp.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Fr. Christopher Barnes officiating.
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Pleasantville.
In place of flowers, donations can be made to the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department.

Obituary Preview: Eric P. Randall, 64, of Titusville, PA, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 11, 2024 at his home.
Eric was born on February 14, 1959 in Willimantic, CT, a son of Charlotte Ericsson Randall and the late Jonathan Randall. He married Luciana Clark on April 4, 1987, at St Titus Church.
Eric was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1977. He was also a graduate of the University of Toronto where he earned his bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies as well as Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he earned his master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning. Additionally, he was a Fulbright Scholar at Bosporus University in Istanbul, Turkey.
Eric had a career in Urban Planning, working for over twenty-five years as a Geographic Information Systems Administrator for the County of Erie.
Eric was a veteran, having served in the US Coast Guard for four years where he was stationed in Presque Isle and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Eric was a man of many interests and he often pursued them to mastery. Whether he was tending to his garden, cooking with his wife in the kitchen, or researching world history, philosophy, and art, he found great joy in dedicating time to his passions. Eric may best be remembered as a man of quick wit and excellent humor who enjoyed traveling, photography, collecting fountain pens, and spending time with his family. He was also an avid computer hobbyist with a particular passion for older Unix systems. In his younger days, Eric could be found surrounded by computers, working diligently on personal projects and home builds.
Eric is survived by his mother, Charlotte Randall of Titusville; his wife Luciana; children, Giovanna Hughes of Pittsburgh, PA, Peter Randall and companion Natalie Dodd of Titusville, PA, and Claudia Randall and companion Benjamin Underhill of Missoula, MT; a grandson, Wylie Underhill; two brothers, Luke Randall and wife Karen of Titusville and Karl Randall and wife Karin of Geneva, Switzerland; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Eric Hughes.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Saturday, January 20th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at which time the funeral service will be conducted.
Private interment will be in Kerr Hill Cemetery.

Ruth was born on January 14, 1929 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Alfred and Jessie Sterling Sopher. She was married to Robert D. Goodwill on July 9, 1945 at St. Walburga Church. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2011.
She and her late husband owned Goodwill Sheet Metal in Titusville for 64 years. She was also a domestic worker for 25 years in Titusville.
Ruth was a member of St. Titus Church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, listening to country music, tending to her flower gardens, traveling with her husband, and was a volunteer at the Hydetown Volunteer Fire Dept. for many years.
Ruth is survived by her children, Doris Saeger of Marysville, OH, Patricia Bold and husband Tom of Titusville, Mary Hasbrouck and husband Tom of Titusville, and Christine Pergament and husband Bruce of Huntingdon, PA; 10 grandchildren, Steve and Bob Saeger, Tom Bold, Jr., Karen Lewis, Jennifer Kerr, Teri Beach, Dan and Kevin Hasbrouck, and Joe and Andrew Covell; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a brother, Everett Sopher and wife Gert of Hydetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, infant Arlene Sopher and Doris Price; and three brothers, Leon Sopher, Hugh Sopher, and Kenneth Armstrong.
Friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 12th at 11:00 AM at St. Titus Church with Fr. Christopher Barnes as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Catharines Cemetery.

Obituary Preview: Darlene B. Watson, 86, of Pleasantville, passed away Monday morning January 8, 2024 at the Titusville Area Hospital.
Darlene was born on September 27, 1937 in Franklin, PA, a daughter of the late Erman and Elverna Lesner Bryner. She was married to Dan E. Watson who preceded her in death on September 14, 2011.
Darlene was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, class of 1955. She was employed by Keystone Honing as office manager from where she retired. She had also been employed at Allied Roll Builders and at Skyline Industries.
She was a member of the Pleasantville Methodist Church where she was the oldest living member of the original church. She joined the church on April 5, 1953. She held various positions at the church over the years. She began attending Sunday school at the church at age 6 months and received a bar for each year with perfect attendance. She acquired 17 bars for this.
Darlene was a former auditor, secretary and supervisor for Oil Creek township. She served various times on the Pleasantville Alumni Association. Darlene enjoyed her flowers gardens, reading and doing puzzles. She enjoyed the good weather so she could walk with her good friend Cathy Firster with their rollators. She also enjoyed sitting on her back porch watching the birds and wildlife in the yard.
She bowled in the Jacks and Queens Bowling League with her husband Dan for over 25 years. She also bowled in the Moonshiner League on Tuesday evenings. She enjoyed golfing with her husband in the Friday night league at Green Acres. She was a Girl Scout assistant in Pleasantville from 1975 to 1976. She was instrumental in beginning the Pleasantville Recreation Board with her husband, brother-in-law Art Covell and friend Dick Reed.
She enjoyed attending her children’s, grandchildren’s, and great grandchildren’s events.
Darlene is survived by her children, Duane B. “Duey” Watson and wife Jane, Barry A. Watson and wife Jackie, and Celene K. Watson, all of Pleasantville; grandchildren, Abigail J. Popescu and husband Dr. Cristian Popescu of Titusville, Eliza E. Parish and husband Chad of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Jarrett D. Watson and companion Dr. Erin Sullivan of Sewickley, and Cameron A. Watson and companion Lorelei Kingsmore of Franklin; great grandchildren, Octavia, Beatrice, and Augustin Popescu, and Weston and Henry Parish; step-grandchildren, Ryan and Nathan Schiffer; step-great grandchildren, Sarah and Jake Parish; a brother, Larry Bryner and wife Cam of Seattle, WA; a sister-in-law, Carol Bryner of Smithfield, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Evelyn Nosker-Bickel and Marcie Covell; brothers, Bruce and Don Bryner; a sister-in-law, Edith Bryner; and brothers-in-law, Don, Dean and Fred Watson, Joe Burt, George Nosker, George Bickel, and Art Covell.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 13th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pleasantville Methodist Church 472 N. Main Street Pleasantville, PA. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jerome Alsdorf officiating.
Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.

Marsh was born on May 22, 1951, in Titusville to the late Samuel E. and Mabel Angell Roberts. She married Kenneth W. L'Huillier on June 1, 1985, at Bethel United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Titusville High School, Class of 1969. Marsha worked as a waitress at many restaurants in and around Titusville. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church for over 30 years. Over that time Grace Fellowship became Marsha's second home and she held many positions within the church. Nothing meant more to her than her family and her faith, growing in wisdom and knowledge of His goodness. Marsha enjoyed being outdoors and all it had to offer. She was an avid bird watcher with a large knowledge of different species. During the nicer weather she enjoyed gardening and going to all the local yard sales. She enjoyed spending hours on puzzles, reading, and crocheting gifts for friends and family. She is survived by her loving husband Ken of Titusville; her four children, Rebecca Smith, Pamela Johnson and husband Steven, Marshall Metzgar and fiancé Christina Burrows, and Chad Zuendel and wife Sadie, all of Titusville; eight grandchildren, Christian Greer and wife Nicole, Devyn Hartley and husband Colt, Brooke Johnson and fiancé Andrew Burgdorfer, Kayla Smith, Emily Metzgar, Addison Zuendel, Mackenzie Zuendel, and Zaylee Zuendel; two great grandchildren, Nathaniel Greer, and Nova Hartley; Seven siblings, Jim Roberts and wife Mary of Titusville, Dar Howard and husband Denny of Pleasantville, Samuel Roberts Jr. and wife Carol, Norm Roberts and wife Bobbie Jo, Tim Roberts, Ross Roberts and wife Stephanie all of Titusville, and K.J. Norm was born on February 21, 1942, in Franklin to the late Weldon D. and Joanne Stone Nelson. He married Marguerite A. "Marge" O'Neil who preceded him in death on August 11, 2019. He was a graduate of Titusville High School, Class of 1960, and New Castle Business College. He was a veteran having served in the US Army. He entered the service on April 24, 1961, in Pittsburgh and was honorably discharged on April 23, 1964, at Seneca Army Depot in Romulus, NY with the rank of Corporal. Norm worked as an accountant in his earlier years and then US Postal Service as a rural mail carrier until his retirement. He attended the Lincolnville Baptist Church. Norm enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, and was passionate about trees of all kinds. He was a lifelong republican who supported conservative values. Norm is survived by his three children, Carl Nelson and wife Tami of Grandville, MI, Matthew Nelson and wife Rachel of Burgettstown, PA, and Deanna Wakefield and husband Jeremy of Titusville; three grandchildren, Adrianna Nelson, Maria Nelson, and Madison Wakefield; two sisters, Nancy Williams of St. Clairsville, OH and Linda Frost of Titusville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Robert "Bob" Nelson; and two brothers-in-law Blaine Frost and Kenneth Williams. Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc., 303 N. Washington St. on Wednesday, January 10th from 3 to 5 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Jerome Alsdorf, officiating. Dick was born in Titusville, Pennsylvania on January 26, 1938 to the late Shairl "Rabbit" and Elizabeth "Betty" Kinney Thompson. Dick attended Titusville Senior High School. He was a veteran having served in the US Air Force, enlisting in 1956
He married Ruby Leona Walston of Goldsboro, NC in 1959. He returned to Titusville with his wife Ruby, working at Cytemp Specialty Steel for many years until he retired. His retirement was spent working in construction for several years. He was an avid hunter and spent much of his life camping, fishing and working the family farm. Dick's happiest moments were spending time with his family, attending wrestling tournaments, and other events of his grandchildren, hosting fish fries and cookouts.
Dick is survived by daughters, Deb Cherry and husband Mike of Grand Valley, and Brenda Strawbridge and companion Dick Hunt of Titusville; a son, Rick Thompson and wife Judy of Titusville; granddaughter Bobi Cherry of Centerville, grandson Travis Strawbridge and companion Fireray of Titusville, grandson Mike Cherry Jr. and wife Jen of Corry, grandson Hunter Thompson of Titusville, granddaughter Tasha Roggenkamp and husband Cole of Titusville, nine great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Isabelle, Caleb, Adalyn, Jayden, Austin, Kayedence, Gunner, Layla, a great-great granddaughter, Eleanor Ruby; two sisters, Ann Burrows of Titusville and Gloria “Jean” Thompson of Titusville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby in 2019, and a brother, Arthur "Art" Thompson. No public visitation will be held. Dureen is survived by four children, James F. Logan and wife Barbara of Erie, Larry M. Logan and wife Dolores of Pleasantville, Robert E. Logan of Titusville, and Sam W. Logan and wife Kerrie of Titusville; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Dittrich of Titusville and Rosanna Webber and husband Douglas of Oil City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kathy was married to Alfred ‘Bud’ Roggenkamp on November 9, 1974. Mr. Roggenkamp died on March 18, 1986.
She was previously employed at Bryan Hardware, Robinson’s Wallpaper, BSI Financial, secretary at the Catholic Community of Titusville. Her last place of employment was secretary at Forest County Wood Products. She and her late husband previously owned and operated Bryan True Value.
Mrs. Roggenkamp was a lifetime member of St. Titus Church. She was a member of the VFW #5958 and BPO Elks #264.
She is survived by two brothers, James Meagher and his wife Edna of Circle City Arizona, Patrick Meagher and his late wife Kristy of Pleasantville, and one sister, Jane Weaver and her husband Jack of Pleasantville. She is also survived by the following nieces and nephews who were like her own children: Jim Meagher and his children Morgan and Michael; Todd Meagher and his wife Angie and their children Kenna and Ty; Jon Paul Meagher, Deanna Sopher and her husband Jamie and their children Erin and Adrienne, Theresa Ingerson and companion Robbie; Trisha Leach and her husband D.J. and their children Michael and Abigail Kathleen; Sarah Muir and her husband Brent and their children Gavin, Aiden, Olivia, Ana, Sam, Theo, and Julian; Kimberley Speaks and her husband Richard and their children Maya, Lailah, Richard, Derald, and Demi; Megan Leisher and her companion Camden and her children Luca, Blue, and Rye; and Jospeh Meagher and his wife Emily. She is also survived by the following special cousins; Anna Johnstone and her husband Jack, John Bengston and his wife Susan, Shawn Bengston and his companion Michelle and their children Alex and Erik; Kristen Pontello and her husband Richard and their sons Tyler and John.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 2, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Titus Church with Father John Detisch, pastor of St. Tobias Parish in Brockway as celebrant.

Eric was born January 20, 1951, in Union City, P.A., to the late Charles Duane Obert and surviving Margorie Maye Obert. He graduated from Union City High School, Class of 1968. He received his bachelor's degree in Biology from the Pennsylvania State University. He married his wife of 47 years, the late Kathleen Paonessa Obert, on Oct. 25, 1975. Eric began his career working for the Fish Commission in Tionesta, PA. He then took a job with the Department of Environmental Protection where he also served on the Emergency Response Team. He subsequently moved on to work for Pennsylvania Sea Grant, affiliated with the Penn State Behrend campus, housed in the Tom Ridge Environmental Center. He also spent many evenings serving as a referee for local middle and high school basketball games. Eric loved sports and spent many hours at local sporting events cheering for his children. He was an avid fisherman and could often be found on an area lake in his boat. Additionally, he was a member of the local Elder statesmen golf league and the local bowling circuit, where he made many good friends. After retirement, he stayed connected to his work community by serving on the Presque Isle Park Advisory Committee. His true passion was his family. He was a loyal and devoted son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He never failed to show up for his family and his gentle and steadfast presence will be deeply missed.

She is survived by two children, Sharon McKee of Meadville, and Brian Hagar-McKee and husband George of Northampton, MA; and several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph Mac Lorenz, Sarah Belle-Bly, Jeanne Cosper, Nellie Hawkins, and Harley Lorenz. Visitation will be private to the family. She had worked at the Titusville Area Hospital in the kitchen for a number of years until her retirement from there. She had also been previously employed as a case worker for Active Aging.
Rose was a member of St. Titus Church where she had taught CCD classes. She was treasurer for the Vroman Excelsior Cemetery. She was an avid reader, an excellent cook, and loved her gardening. She loved all her animals including her cats and dogs.
Roseanna is survived by her husband Earl of Titusville; the following children, Theresa Casale and husband Dominic of Newman, GA, Earl G. Willey and wife Elizabeth of West Middlesex, PA, Christine Willey of Krum, TX, Kathleen Riggs and husband Michael of Harrisburg, Illinois, and Lisa Harrington and husband Michael of Centerville; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard “Rick” Vroman and wife Sandy of Titusville; a sister, Mary Longiotti and husband Frank of Titusville; sisters-in-law, Carol Lewis and husband Barney of Titusville and Donna Linnon and husband Ron of Virginia; a brother-in-law, Brian Willey and wife Diane of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Vroman.

Carol was a feisty lady. She enjoyed spending time with her family and spent many happy years loving and taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's witnesses in 1973. She enjoyed walking, taking in all the nature around her, and appreciating Jehovah's many gifts. She is sleeping peacefully in death and has the hope of being resurrected back to paradise on earth in Jehovah's due time.
