Darryl W. Lynde - September 13, 1940 - August 08, 2017

Departed: 08/08/2017 (Gillette)
Obituary Preview: Memorial service for Darryl Lynde will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 14, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Donavon Voigt officiating. Darryl Lynde entered the gates of glory and saw his savior on August 8th, 2017. He was surrounded by the love of his family. Darryl was born on Friday the 13th of September, 1940 in Gillette, WY. 13 immediately became a very special number for him. He was raised in Gillette by his parents, Neuma and Pug Davidson along with his brother Ron. He knew that he had the BEST parents and childhood anyone could hope for. His parents filled their home with love and worked hard to give the boys everything they needed. He attended Campbell County schools through the 12th grade. There he built close and lasting relationships with his classmates. One of the highlights of his school career was being on the 1st State Championship Basketball team in 1958. As a child, he accepted Christ at Camp Wyoba on Casper Mountain. This experience led him to attend Ottawa University in Kansas with the dream of becoming a pastor. During his schooling at Ottawa he would spend summers back in Gillette. The summer of 1961, he married the love of his life, Sharon Wilson. They went back to Ottawa in their candy apple red 1949 Chevy. Darryl always loved flashy cars—even if they were duct-taped together and required a jug of water to keep from overheating. After completing his degree in 1962, Darryl accepted a job at Arvada West High School in Colorado teaching high school English. Darryl and Sharon’s marriage was blessed by the addition of Shad Renee, Darren Worth, and Lyndy Nichole. Starting family traditions was important to this young family. The “real Santa” showed up every year for the last 55 years. This last Christmas Darryl got to be “real Santa” and was sure to add his own flair to the role. He loved to take his family skiing, boating, and fishing. Each trip included lots of laughs and card games (some with official rules, but most with rules that had been Darryl-ified). In the true entrepreneurial spirit, while raising his family Darryl endeavored in many things. These adventures included: teaching English at CCHS, owning a liquor store, rough necking for Cyclone Drilling, starting the Way Out House (Gillette’s first teen center), owning and operating the Circle L Motel, selling real estate, and being a partner in Gillette’s original Holiday Inn. Of course, these adventures were just a prelude to returning to his life long dream of becoming a counselor/pastor. At the age of 48 he returned to Seminary and became a licensed professional Christian Counselor and an American Baptist ordained minister. The pinnacle of his 20 plus years in counseling and pastoring was when his life long church (First Baptist Church) asked him to be their pastor. He had finally fulfilled his childhood dream of being the pastor of that church. Seeing changes in people’s lives was exciting for him and very rewarding. Darryl and Sharon were blessed with six grandchildren and affectionately referred to as Papah and Grandy. Papah loved to teach his grandkids about everything from God’s love to the perfect cup of hot chocolate. He assured each one of them that they were designed by God so they ARE special…and ENOUGH. He was a grandpa who would let his grandkids drive the convertible before they were in kindergarten and would proudly volunteer to get his nails painted, play black jack, or sing along with Dancing Queen whenever asked. He shared his love of Disney and all things fairytales with his grandchildren. They would sit in his chair and read countless fairytales together—always ending with: “And they lived happily ever after. They had their problems, but they worked them out together…with God.” Thanks to his unconditional love, Papah’s zest for life will be present every time one of his grandchildren catches a fish, rides down thrill hill, (over) feeds a squirrel, goes moon hunting, or eats Haagen-Dazs. As a life long avid fisherman, Darryl always said, “My best catch was the love of my life, Share…She’s perf!” His legacy of love will continue, not only in his family but in all of you who have been touched by his love. Darryl was preceded in death by his parents, Neuma and Pug Davidson. He is survived by; his wife of 56 years Sharon, brother Ron (Ginny), daughter Shad (Jerry) Sauther of Billings, MT, son Darren (Kim) Lynde of Gillette, and Lyndy (Ryun) Williams of Ft. Collins, CO, and his grandchildren Stetson, Sydney (Brady), Natalie, Emily, Garrett, and Lauren. The family requests that memorials be made in Darryl’s name to Camp Wyoba (Wyoming Baptist Church Camp). Memorials and condolences may be sent in care of Gillette Memorial Chapel 210 West 5th Street, Gillette, WY 82716. Condolences may also be expressed at www.gillettememorialchapel.com

Deveret LeRoy Roach - September 04, 1939 - July 02, 2017

Departed: 07/02/2017 (Gillette)
Obituary Preview: Devert LeRoy (LeRoy) Roach Sr. passed away at home after a long illness on July 2, 2017.
LeRoy was born September 4, 1939 in Versailles, Kentucky to Johnny and Lucy Roach.
LeRoy grew up and at the age of 21 met the love of his life and mother of his children Geraldine Schuh. The couple married June 15th, 1961 and lived in Rising Sun, Indiana. LeRoy made an honest living dairy farming and growing tobacco.
They grew and moved the family from the 250 acre dairy farm in Indiana to Wyoming in 1978 where LeRoy worked over 30 years in mining at Eagle Butte; drilling and blasting and operations. He had countless awards from Amax Coal and was known for the hard work, overtime, immaculate attendance and a lunchbox full of sweets that the grandchildren speak of fondly, and stole as often as they could when papal got home from the mine.
LeRoy was known for being the life of the party, always spending time with the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; giving each and every person he knew a memory or a nick name that will never be forgotten. LeRoy can be described as a workaholic, busy body, and known to pull a fast one over on anyone. There are many cherished memories of LeRoy from all family and friends. A prayer often read was A Cowboy's Prayer: " Heavenly Father, I pause, mindful of the many blessings You have bestowed upon me. I ask that you will guide me in my life. Help me, Lord to live my life in such a manner that when I make that last ride to the country up there where the grass grows lush and the water runs cool that You'll take me by the hand and say Welcome Home Cowboy"
There was also numerous songs sang to him from grandchildren and children with LeRoy's favorite "Amazing Grace".
Whether it was the young ones learning their wrongs out in the field digging sage brush on the family ranch; or LeRoy telling you how it was and would be, or getting to put your name on the concrete after a fresh pour, helping at the ranch with fencing, roofing or any work that needed done. LeRoy always included anyone into his life and treated everyone as his own.
LeRoy is survived by his wife of 56 years; Geraldine Roach of Rozet, Wyoming. Son Deveret Roach Jr. Daughter Debora (Jerry) Harms of Gillette, Wyoming. Daughter, Devina Pringle of Gillette Wyoming.
LeRoy is also survived by his "Magnificent Seven" Grandchildren. Randy (Christina) Washer and children. David (Krystal) Bauer and children. Levi (Angie) Mormann and children. Destiny (Nacho) Moreno and children. Crystal Roach and family. Chantelle Pringle and children. Travis (Sarah) Roach.
Of these grandchildren Leeroy was blessed with many great grandchildren of whom he cherished each.
LeRoy's requested there be no funeral as his soul is free and he is to be part of the sacred earth. Condolences may be sent to 3502 Blue Avenue, Gillette, Wyoming. Bo Douglas Morgan 10-25-98 to 07-02-17. Bo was born in Denver Colorado on October 25th, 1998, to Darin and Jacqueline Morgan. Bo was one of 3 children: Ali Morgan (sister, 13), Jay Morgan (brother, 11). Bo attended Sunflower Elementary School, Sage Valley Jr. High and Campbell County High School, all in Gillette WY. Bo was a highly intelligent young man. Bo was a funny young man. Bo would have you laughing in five minutes of you meeting him. Bo was a young man with a huge heart. He was caring and fun loving. Bo’s care and love were unparalleled to no end. Bo loved his brother and sister with every bit of his being. Bo loved his dog “Ginger” and his cat “Kitters”. We were told from his Therapists in California, that Bo had said he, had the best parents in the world. And that he had a positive impact on everyone at the Recovery Center. We all knew and feel the love that Bo had for us (and still does).
Bo had a beautiful soul! The love, the caring, the fun, the intelligent and most important Bo always looked out for people who were less fortunate. Bo would be the first to lend a hand. He was friendly to all people. His great personality would make people flock to him. Bo had an aura about him that would ease your heart and have and instant trust and security.
Bo would bring other kids to our house and explain to us on how they haven’t eaten and get them a warm, home cooked meal. Most of these kids, we would never see them again, so it was just that. He cared enough and was kind enough to get them fed. Bo would never turn his cheek on anyone, no matter what walk of life they came from. Bo loved his best friend, Jacob Woodward to no end and all his friends. “Pete and Re-Pete” is what we called Bo and Jacob, or even the “Bopsy Twins”. Brothers from another mother. Bo’s loyalty to his friends and family was nothing short of amazing. If you treated Bo well and cared for Bo, he treated you even better and cared for you more. Simply put, Bo had the biggest heart.
Bo is survived by his parents, Darin and Jacqueline Morgan, His sister Ali Morgan and his brother Jay Morgan. Grand Parents; Mary Lee Schlueter, Bob and Luba Welsh, Donna Brumage and Mark Morgan. Aunts and Uncles; Ramie and Jeannie Haines, Robert and Peggy Welsh, Stacy Arias, Bill Welsh, Dan and Coleen Martins, Will Schlueter, Cody Schlueter, Kelsey Schlueter and many Cousins.
Forever our “Angel Baby”. We never felt a love so strong, till our son Bo was born. His birth impacted our hearts in a way no one else could ever give us. Bo excelled in everything that he did. From golf, baseball, football, school and skateboarding. Bo loved to Fish. Bo also played the piano and guitar. He loved his long hair, it was beautiful. He loved to hang out with his friends, as well as hang out with his brother and sister. Ali and Jay thought that their brother hung the moon and now he does.
Bo was taken from us way too soon. His legacy will live forever and Bo will never, ever be forgotten. He will always be a part of our family and that said, we will always be the “Morgan Fab - 5”. We will love you forever son and brother. This is not a “good-bye”, this is a “see you later”. And “B”, tell the Good Lord to “keep the Kool aide cool” and to “keep up”. Until later our son/brother, we miss you and love you and never to be forgotten. In lieu of Flowers there is a: Bo D Morgan Memorial Fund set up at Campco Federal Credit Union, Gillette WY.
