Reva was born on January 4, 1935 in Cross Junction, VA, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Madeline Holliday Luttrell. She was a 1953 graduate of James Wood High School, worked as a lead person for VDO in Winchester, VA for 15 years and a member of the Redland United Methodist Church in Whitacre, VA. Reva loved sewing, needle work and flowers.
Reva married Charles W. “Junior” Brill, Jr. on June 17, 1954 in Upper Marlboro, MD. Junior died on November 25, 2012.
Surviving is a son: Charles W. “Chuck” Brill, III and his wife Gloria (her son: Shawn Feathers and his wife April) of Winchester, VA; a daughter: Teresa B. “Treaty” Allamong of Cross Junction, VA; a sister: Betty Whitehead of Cross Junction, VA; two grandchildren: Sarah K. Greathouse and her husband Will; Charles Brill, IV (Kim) and two great-grandchildren: Daisy Jones & Dechlan Greathouse.
She is preceded in death by a brother: James “Jimmy” Luttrell and a sister Lucille Buckhart.

Susie was born on January 10, 1947, in Romney, WV, the daughter of the late Willis C. and Frances Bowen Haines. She was a former member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 137 in Capon Bridge, WV. Susie enjoyed working in her yard & flowers, watching the Washington Redskins & WVU football and taking care of her brother Steve.
Susie married Van W. “Bob” Kesner on May 12, 1971 in Cumberland, MD. Bob died on December 30, 2000.
Surviving is a son: Terry G. Ludwick (Chrissy) of High View, WV; a step-daughter: Cyndi Kesner Boyer of Augusta, WV; two brothers: Willis Haines, Jr. & J. Steven Haines both of High View, WV; a sister: Brenda Kesner of Bloomery, WV; five grandchildren: Justin McCloskey, Austin Ludwick; McKenzie Ludwick, Jeffery Boyer, & R.J. Delawder; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by three brothers: Carl, Roger, & Wilson “Buck” Haines; and two sisters: Hilda & Wanda Barnes.
Inurnment at Capon Chapel Cemetery in Capon Bridge, WV will be privately held.

Anthony was born on December 18, 1987, in Fairfax, VA, the son of the late Tammy Shaffer and grandson of Curtis and Charlene Higgins Robinson of Augusta, WV. Anthony was a 2006 graduate of Hampshire High School and was labeled as a master at BBQ where he became owner & operator of his own BBQ restaurant called “Hog Pen” in Suffolk, VA. He enjoyed hunting & fishing, watching and playing football, but most of all he had a big heart for his American Bullies where he would bred and train the dogs and entering them into shows in which they would win. Anthony was loved by all and had a wide variety of friends.
Surviving along with his grandparents are his children and his ex-wife: Kayla Cowgill and their children: Troy A. Togan & Aalyah M. Togan all of Augusta, WV; a brother: Andrew Robertson of Manassas, VA; two sisters: Amanda & Alexa Shaffer of Suffolk, VA; and a fiancé: Carolyn Bergdoll and her children Madison, Sydney & Logan Bergdoll of Augusta, WV.
A celebration of Anthony’s life will be held at Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 1-3 PM with an open mic to share memories and stories starting at 3:00 PM.

Timothy was born on January 23, 1960, in Altoona, PA, the son of the late Paul A. & Margaret Flanagan. Timothy was a fan of watching sports, drawing & sketching in his sketch pads, and a big Elvis Pressley fan. He was an extremely hard worker and was well known for his sense of humor where he could always lighten the mood in any situation. Timothy was a very proud father and grandfather and loved being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by a son: Adam Lynn and his wife Lori of Altoona, PA; and a daughter: April Lynn of Altoona, PA; one brother; two sisters; and eight grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by seven siblings & one grandchild.
Services will be privately held.

She previously worked for a sewing factory, more recently for Walmart, was a member of the Redland United Methodist Church and went to the Gainesboro and James Wood Schools all in Winchester. Ruby loved her flower gardens, country music videos, word searches, old game shows but most of all she enjoyed caring for her family.
Ruby married Raymond L. Fletcher on August 16, 1952, in Hagerstown, MD. Raymond died on June 2, 1992.
Surviving are her children: Gilbert L. “Gib” Fletcher; Timothy A. Fletcher and wife Rita; Sharon M. Rexrode all of Winchester, VA; Judy Watts of Inwood, WV; three brothers: Waldon “ Diz” Kerns, Billy Kerns, and Gary Kerns; four sisters: Betty Manne, Janet Newlin, Patsy Kerns, and Kathy Kerns; six grandchildren: Justin, Jeremy, Jason, Cody, Davey, and Nick; two bonus grandchildren: T.J. and Kaylynn; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by three brothers: Alfred, Ralph, and Carl “Buzz” Kerns and one sister: Ruth Weatherholtz.
The family will receive friends at the Giffin Funeral Home and Crematory in Capon Bridge, WV on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 12-1:30 PM followed by a funeral service held at 1:30 PM. Officiating will be Pastor William Wennersten. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, near Whitacre, VA.

Ervin E. "Pee Wee" McKee, Jr. - June 20, 1942 - April 16, 2024

Obituary Preview: Ervin Elwood “Pee Wee” McKee, Jr., 81, of Capon Bridge, WV, died on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.
Pee Wee was born June 20, 1942, in Romney, WV, the son of the late Ervin E. McKee, Sr. and Pleasant Baker McKee. Pee Wee graduated from Romney High School in 1960 where he excelled in football and was known to be a little mischievous and was quite a jokester. After graduating he spent the next several years serving his country in the United States Air Force. Once he was honorably discharged, he started to work for Big Chief Drilling Company in Las Vegas, NV for the next 4 years. After his time in Las Vegas, he returned home and started McKee’s Trucking where for the next 22 years, Pee Wee drove a truck and hauled produce. He continued to work for himself over the next 27 years where he owned and operated Pee Wee’s Excavating until his retirement in 2018. Pee Wee was a former member of the Capon Bridge Fire Company and Capon Bridge Rescue Squad. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed camping, traveling, mule riding, watching NASCAR, West Virginia Football and West Virginia Basketball. Pee Wee was very good with numbers, he was a hard worker and held a great presence in his community and family. Above all else, Pee Wee loved being Pop Pop and Grandpa to his little “Farts.”
Pee Wee married Carolyn L. Whitacre McKee on March 12, 1960, in Augusta, WV.
Surviving with his wife of 64 years is his son: Timothy Michael McKee and wife Debbie of Winchester, VA; his two daughters: Mindy Lee McKee of Winchester, VA; Stacy Ann Floyd and husband John of Cambridge, MD; his two brothers: Jerry McKee of Augusta, WV; Jan McKee and wife Darlene of Pin Oak, MD; his three sisters: Kandi Hughes and husband Walter of Richmond, VA; Janeen Alderman and husband Alvin of Augusta, WV; Joleen Borden and husband Bill of Strasburg, VA,; four grandchildren: Lauren (Jeff), Lindsay (Dan), David, and Michael, and five great grandchildren: Camden, Benny, Chase, Emersyn, and Ellie.
He is preceded in death by a brother and a sister: Joe McKee and Doris Godwin.
The family will receive friends at the Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory in Capon Bridge, WV on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 5-7 PM. A celebration of Pee Wee’s life will immediately follow at 7 PM. Officiating will be Pastor John Sine. Inurnment will be privately held at a later date.

Wendell was born on May 30, 1961 in Winchester, VA, the son of the late Wiley Willard and Willetta V. Wolford Meade. He was a 1979 graduate of James Wood High School, owned & operated Meade’s Special Services in Capon Bridge, WV for 40 years and was a member of the Capon Bridge United Methodist Church & American Legion Post 137 in Capon Bridge, WV. Wendell enjoyed going to Canaan Valley with his family skiing, going to the Outer Banks, go karts and tractor pulls. Wendell was a very proud, honorable and well-respected man in Hampshire County.
Wendell married Nancy L. Kline Meade on July 8, 1995 in Capon Bridge, WV.
Surviving with his wife of nearly 29 years are two daughters: Breana M. Meade (Jordan) of Capon Bridge, WV; Jenni Lynn Baker (Curtis) of Gore, VA; two brothers: Wiley W. Meade, Jr. of Illinois; Jeffrey L. Meade of Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister: Barbara A. Seabright of Gore, VA and three grandchildren: Tanner & Sadie Baker & J.B. Lear.
A celebration of Wendell’s life will be held at Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory in Capon Bridge, WV on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 4:00 PM. Officiating will be Pastors Alanna McGuinn and Ron Boyer. Inurnment will be private.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 PM.

Kristen enjoyed working at fruit markets, being outdoors hunting & fishing and had a passion for animals. She loved cooking & baking while listening to music, but most of all Kristen loved her family dearly.
Kristen married Jeff Miller on October 28, 2002 in Stephens City, VA.
Surviving with her husband of 21 years is a son: Austin Miller and his wife Sunniva of Norfolk, VA; two daughters: Grace & Claire Miller both of Strasburg, VA; a brother: William F. Hoffman of Mt. Pillar, VT; a sister: Sarah R. Hoffman of Winchester, VA; two cousins: Samantha Hoffman of Loranger, LA & Kayla Porter; an aunt: Shirley Easton of Covington, GA; an uncle: Benjamin “BJ” Hoffman of Winchester, VA; a niece Courtney Miller; and her dog: Hank.
She is preceded in death by a cousin: Dustin Hoffman.

Clara enjoys going to Ocean City, MD, camping in Frontier Town (Ocean City), watching the Baltimore Orioles, yard sales, cooking and being with her friends & family.
Clara married Emory L. Roberts, Sr. on August 30, 1958 in Baltimore, MD. Emory died on September 23, 2014.
Surviving are two sons: Emory L. “Lee” Roberts, Jr. (Becky) of The Villages, FL; Robert D. "Skeeter" Roberts (Barb) of Delray, WV; two daughters: Diana M. Herbold (Bill) of Spring Hill, FL; Tammy B. Virginia was born on April 26, 1931, in Winchester, VA, the daughter of the late Willie L. and Emily Suzy Nicholson Dodson. She previously worked for Z&M Sheet Metal in Winchester, VA. Virginia loved watching wildlife which included feeding squirrels and loving dogs.
She was married to Winfred L. Henry who passed away in July of 1977.
Surviving are three daughters: Margaret Matz (Rolf) from Germany; Mary Cole (Jeff) of Martinsburg, WV; Betty Tarmon (Jim) of North Carolina; two sons: Russell Henry; Ray Henry (Donna) of Capon Bridge, WV; her sister: Emily Dodson of Gore, VA; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death along with her husband by several brothers and sisters.
A private celebration of Virginia’s life will be held followed by a private inurnment in the Mount Hebron Cemetery in Winchester, VA.

Cindy D. Strickler - July 27, 1956 - March 27, 2024

Obituary Preview: Cindy Darlene Kesner Strickler of Romney, WV was taken from this world at 67 years young to go home with her heavenly father. Cindy was born to the late Roy and Elsie Kesner in Keyser, WV. She is also preceded in death by two of her children, Aaron Reed and Clarissa Reed and sister, Pat Crawford.
She was a loving mother to her pride and joy, her three children, Aaron Reed, Clarissa Reed and Jared Strickler. She was a beyond loving grandmother to her grandson, Jonathon Reed. All who resided at home with her and she enjoyed every minute of the time she got to spend with each one of them. She was the youngest sibling to two older brothers, Roger Kesner and Richard Kesner (Carol). Cindy had several nieces and nephews.
Cindy dedicated her life to caring for others. She was a CNA and worked as a home health aide most of her life. She moved on to work in a children’s group home and correctional facility. In her younger years, Cindy enjoyed going to the dirt track races and even climbed the bleachers while expecting her son, Jared. She looked forward to Sunday mornings and being able to attend church with her “big” brother, “Dickie” and his wife Carol.
The last few years of Cindy’s life she suffered with dementia. It was hard on her and frustrating at times. It was devasting on the family to watch such a strong loving woman become so helpless. She was ready to go home with her heavenly father.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Giffin Funeral Home and Crematory in Capon Bridge, WV from 12-2 PM. A funeral service will follow at 2 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Brian Moreland. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Romney, WV.

She worked for Amoco Foam Products for 13 years, Shenandoah Apple Corp. for 16 years both of Winchester, VA and ABC in Martinsburg, WV for 8 years. Nancy enjoyed reading and crafts.
Nancy married Earl Thomas “Tom” Rhodes on May 17, 1997 in Gatlinburg, TN. Tom died on May 30, 2023.
Surviving is a brother: Wilson W. Crouse, Jr. (Candy) of Winchester, VA; two sisters: Brenda I. Crouse of Staunton, VA; Sandra L. Hedrick (David) of Clear Brook, VA.
A graveside service will be held in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Cross Junction, VA on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Alanna McGuinn.

Ted was the son of the late Kathryn N. Davis, Robert "Bob" Walker and Teddy L. Davis. Ted was born February 22, 1956 in Chicago, IL. Ted co-owned and operated T&B Excavating with his son Brian for 28-years in Hampshire County. He enjoyed working in his garage, spending time with his family, fishing and hunting with his son and grandson. Ted was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
On August 22, 1975, he married the love of his life Paula Dawson, in Slanesville, WV.
Ted is survived by his wife, Paula; a son Brian (Melissa) Davis; Daughters; Tina McKee & Michelle (Roy) Funk. Ted has four grandchildren: Kaitlin Earle (Justin), Justin T. Davis, Brooklin Gilbert and Paige Funk. He has three great-grandchildren: McKenna Earle, Ryder Davis and Kade Earle; two sisters; Kathy Alderman, Debbie (Marty) Hiett; a brother; Glenn (Jodi) Davis. Also, survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Hope Christian Church, Augusta, WV, 15338 Northwestern Turnpike, Augusta, WV 26704 from 6-8 PM.
Funeral service will also be at the church on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 1:30 PM. Family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Officiating with be David Bradfield, Minister. Interment will follow in the Malick Cemetery in Augusta, WV.

Larry is preceded in death by his two brothers: James Calvin Miller and Randy Miller.

Surviving is a daughter: Regina L. “Jeanie” Spaid (Galen) of High View, WV; a son-in-law: Robert Heavner in Martinsburg, WV; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her daughter: Elaine A. Heavner and three brothers: Dorie Moreland, Jr. Billy Moreland and Edward Blake Moreland.

Keith married Tina Lahman Shutts on October 19, 2013, in Cross Junction, VA.
Surviving along with his wife are his children: Keith D. Shutts, Jr. of Virginia; Kasey A. Shutts of Fuquay Varina, NC; Maison A. Judy married Larry A. Whitacre on October 16, 1962, in Hagerstown, MD. Larry died on October 24, 2023.
She is survived by a daughter, Teresa W. Hostuttler and treasured son-in-law Mark of Martinsburg, WV; two brothers: Charles W Morrison of Mt. Carmel, PA; John R. Morrison and wife, Darlene of Stephenson, VA; step-brother, Don Gregory and wife, Connie, of Winchester, VA; six grandchildren: David, Marybeth, Mark, Jada, Jacob, and Aiden; four great-grandchildren: Tiana, Savannah, Aiden, and Matthew.
