Mike was born number seven of eight to Emory and Evelyn Carpenter. He was born in Monroeville, Alabama. The Carpenter family moved to Wetumpka in 1965. Mike graduated from Wetumpka High School in 1974. His 50th Class Reunion is May 4th. He was really looking forward to it and to reconnecting with classmates.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Emory and Evelyn Carpenter, his brothers Winston Carpenter. James Carpenter, and Ronnie Carpenter, his sisters Jean Baas and Barbara Strichik. He is survived by his three sisters, Patricia Hall (Roger), Jackie Greene (Mike), and Muffy Metts as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Mike loved his family.

Gary graduated High School from Central Alabama Academy in 1978.
Gary served 20 years in the Air Force. During that time he was stationed at McDill AFB Florida, Kunsan AFB Korea, Luke AFB Arizona, and Kadena AFB Okinawa. After retiring from the Air Force he worked at Kyocera for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife Michele Lejeune of 43 years. His parents Ronald and Janice St. Laurent, children Nicholas and Nicole St. Laurent, three Grandchildren Alexis Taylor, Demitrius Taylor, Gabrielle St. Laurent; siblings Dennis St.Laurent, Tina Broughton, and Denise Rice.
We want to thank the staff of Gentiva Hospice and the Veteran’s Administration’s Home Primary Care for their services.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Wood was born again in 1965 and began evangelizing and eventually began to Pastor, outside of his family and work, his greatest passion was preaching the word of God. He wanted everyone to know Jesus. He was a giver. If he saw a child he would open his wallet and give them a dollar. He would donate his time and money to bless others. He was known as Preacher Wood far and wide.
Mr. Wood was a self-employed businessman for 52 years. Throughout this occupation, he charitably donated numerous services and materials to his clients.

Obituary Preview: Joseph (Joe) Marion Teague, 92, Died April 21, 2024, at Bill Nichols State Veterans Home. He was born December 16, 1931, in Montgomery, Alabama, the son of Arthur Clyde and Mary (Bible)
Teague. Joe graduated from Elmore County High School, Class of 1951. After graduation he served in the Navy for four years on the USS Monterey. After basic training he married his high school sweetheart Barbara (BB) Jean Shelton. After his service Joe and Barbara settled in Eclectic, Alabama where they spent 61 years together until her
death in 2012. Joe and Barbara enjoyed traveling in their camper. Joe worked with his father at the Teague Bottling Company for several years and then worked for the State of Alabama as a
manufactured housing inspector until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Eclectic where he served as a deacon and other positions. Joe was very active with the Christian Mission Unlimited Ministry where he traveled to Brazil many times to help build churches. He was also a member of the Eclectic
Jaycees. He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Teague of 61 years, parents Arthur and Mary Teague, siblings June Holly, Clyde Teague,
Jr., Bill Teague, Edna Earl Osgood, and twin brother Jack Teague. Survivors are sister Mary B. Faulkner of Austin, TX, son Terry Teague (Gloria) of Lees Summit, MO, son Kerry Teague (Linda) of
Prattville, AL, daughter Alayne Wilson (Tommy) of Wetumpka, AL. He is also survived by five grandchildren Seth Teague, Caleb Teague, Jana Hernandez, Nicole Owens, and Dawson Wilson. Six great grandchildren Cadence, Stella, Autumn, Leo, Teagan and

Dan Keith Tomlinson - December 17, 1949 - April 18, 2024

Obituary Preview: Dan “Danny” Keith Tomlinson Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on April 18, 2024, at the age of 74, in Wetumpka, Alabama. Born on December 17, 1949, in Cleveland, Mississippi, Dan’s life was profoundly shaped by the rich cultural tapestry of the Mississippi Delta. This unique upbringing instilled in him a deep appreciation for the Delta Blues, food, and culture, which resonated through his life as a source of inspiration and comfort.
Dan is an alumnus of Coahoma County High School in Clarksdale, Mississippi, where he developed his mechanical skills and an enthusiastic love for car racing. His talent for mechanics extended beyond his professional military career; he was a gifted builder of stock cars and drag cars. Dan not only built these cars but also participated in races stretching from his hometown of Clarksdale, MS, to Memphis, TN, thrilling in the roar of engines, the rush of speed, and the camaraderie of competition.
His distinguished military service spanned over 23 years, including two years in the Army National Guard, one year in the Army, and 20 years in the Air Force as a Special Purpose Vehicle Mechanic, Student Training Advisor, and a First Sergeant within the Civil Engineering Group. He also qualified as an expert rifleman in the Army. The majority of his military career was spent at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi where he ultimately retired. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant and was honored with numerous awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, and Air Force Achievement Medal.
After an accomplished military career, Dan transitioned to the civilian sector where he dedicated 28 years to the industrial cleaning services industry. Throughout his life, he was a devoted husband to Lynn Sewell Tomlinson for 46 wonderful years and a loving father to their two children, Sarah and DK.
Dan cherished his moments along the Biloxi Gulf Coast, where he reveled in cooking, fishing the Back Bay with family and friends, and entertaining with his sharp wit and humor. He loved attending Holtville High School athletic events, where he enthusiastically cheered on his grandson and granddaughter. His voice could always be heard in the stands, offering loud and spirited support. Dan's legacy of service, humor, and love, as well as, his deep connection to the Mississippi Delta will forever impact those who knew him.
Dan is survived by his wife, Lynn Sewell Tomlinson; children, Sarah and her husband Gregg Phelps, Dan “D.K.” Tomlinson II and his wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Nathan and Hailey Phelps; sisters, Frances Heller Graef and her husband John Graef, Donna Jo Tomlinson; nephew, Chris “C.B.” Heller; and his cherished rescue dogs, Happy and Scruffy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Carl Tomlinson and Addie Christine Hawkins, his nephew Robert Keith Heller, and his beloved Border Collie,
While Dan did not wish for a funeral, a visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 5-6 pm at Gassett Funeral Home in Wetumpka, AL. She is survived by her sons Jimmy Flowers (Jane Golden) and Tim Flowers (Deanna), granddaughter Heather Johnson (Doug), grandson Peyton Flowers (Abby), great-granddaughter Charlotte Kate Johnson, adopted daughter Mary Elizabeth Williams, sister Mary Powell, friend and caregiver Deborah Harris, and multiple nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Her pallbearers will be Wilson Flowers, Rudy Flowers, Jerry Goodwin, Turner Porter, Terry Powell, Terry Kalichak, and Wick Many.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024, 5:00 – 7:00 PM, at the Eclectic Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children Cindy Young (Mike), Greg Thornton (Pam); grandchildren LeeAnn Kwenski (Kendell), Matthew Thornton, Dusty Thornton (Kristy), Heath Young (Ashley); great-grandchildren Montana, Tristen (Sara), Kynslee, Jaxon, Caroline, Callie, Sadie, Colby, Russell; great-grandson Alex; brothers John Johnson (Candy), Louie Gallops (Pat); sisters Linda Hinton (Ronnie), Ruth Jackson; many nieces and nephews.
Judy also known as Nannie, will be deeply missed by all those she left behind. She was one of a kind and to have been loved by her was considered a true blessing.

It was in Montgomery that dear friends collaborated and played Matchmaker, arranging a meeting between Louise and her husband to be, Jim Beverett. The Lord blessed their marriage with blissful happiness and bountiful Love until Louise’s passing into His hands on April 13, 2024. Her life is cherished by all who knew her and she is in all our hearts forever and always….
