Sanjay P Mehta - December 17, 1967 - March 18, 2024

Departed: 03/18/2024 (Lambertville)
Obituary Preview: Sanjay Prabhashankar Mehta, 56, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024. Born to Prabhashankar and Bhanumati Mehta on December 17, 1967 in Kampala, Uganda, Sanjay grew up with his two brothers, Shailesh and Anil, and his sister, Amita. In 1972, the family resettled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. In this time, Sanjay developed a deep passion for the sport of soccer, regularly practicing with players five years his senior. At Columbia High School, Sanjay channeled his talents to become the football team’s starting kicker, fittingly nicknamed “Auto-Mehta.” At Penn State University, Sanjay studied Accountancy, like his father before him, paving the way to a successful career in business.
In adulthood, Sanjay began to zealously fulfill his lifelong mission of seeing the world. Believing that life is something to be made the most of, Sanjay witnessed the greatness of the 1992 “Dream Team” at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, welcomed in the new millennia in by scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and ventured deep into unknown beauties of the Amazon Rainforest. Sanjay would marry his wife, Parul, in 1996, and the couple would live together in Cupertino, California and The Woodlands, Texas, before settling in Woodstock, Georgia.
In 2002 and 2007, Sanjay would help Parul welcome their two beautiful children, Dilan and Anya, into the world. Sanjay was an extremely dedicated father, often referring to this role as the best part of his life. When he was not coaching his children’s soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball teams, he was taking them on an amazing number of thoughtfully planned trips ranging from Destin to Hershey to Waikiki, and everywhere in between. Sanjay instilled key lessons into his children, including the importance of living a well-rounded life, maintaining a “laser-focus” on your goals, and of course, his number one rule: to always have fun.
It was also at this time that Sanjay would embark upon a profound spiritual journey that would grant him a high degree of inner peace and tranquility. He regularly performed seva (volunteer work) to help with the construction of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Atlanta, the largest Hindu temple outside of India at the time of its completion. Sanjay would spend many years volunteering on a weekly basis for the mandir’s Audio-Visual team, extremely humbled by the opportunity to serve others.
Sanjay always emphasized the importance of experiences. He firmly believed that time is the most valuable resource that each person has. And in accordance with this belief, he lived his 56 years of life to the absolute fullest, leaving zero boxes on his bucket list unchecked. Possessing an endless curiosity about the world around him, only matched by his thirst for adventure, Sanjay was truly ahead of his time as a global citizen. With a preference for handmade birthday cards, an everlasting pride in the Nittany Lions and the Black and Yellow, an appetite for New York Style pizza, a love for the Beatles, and a touching appreciation for all the joys this world has to offer, Sanjay dearly impacted those in his life with a refreshing burst of energy. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his two children, Dilan and Anya, his family, and his friends.
A Hindu funeral service will be held Friday March 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Lambertville, NJ. Cremation will take place following the service privately with family members present.

She was steadfast in supporting her husband, Robert Cook, for almost 30 years as the esteemed and inaugural Administrator of the Organization of Black Maritime Graduates (OBMG), served on the board of UIH Family Partners (now The Father Center of New Jersey), and three other private family charitable foundations for many years. Thomas Beadle - January 30, 1950 - January 20, 2024

Departed: 01/20/2024 (Lambertville)
Obituary Preview: Thomas Beadle of New Hope, PA, passed away in his home in the early morning hours of January 20th, six days before his 74th birthday. His passing brought final relief to symptoms caused by cancer, years of chronic pain, and the tragic loss of his wife six plus years ago.
Tom was fun, adventurous, generous, charming, and loved to lovingly tease the people in his life whom he cared most about. His playful spirit touched many and left quite the impression.
Tommy grew up in Morrisville and graduated from high school there. After a stint in college, he was drafted by the military and served in the Vietnam War. There he was injured and honorably discharged. More able bodied and fortunate than others in the hospital, he helped other military patients while recovering from his own wounds.
Post Vietnam, Tom went to Florida for Flight School, got his pilot's license, then became an instructor for a time. Following that, Tom began his life-long career of carpentry. Along the way he married Connie Beadle (née Kramer), raised two sons, then divorced in 1985. Tom met (in his words) “the love of his life,” Nancy Beadle (nee Nancy Huber) in the early 1990s. In 1997, they bought a house in New Hope and happily lived there until Nancy’s tragic, unexpected passing in 2017.
Tom had a strong, exuberant desire to live life. He was passionate about getting out in nature, traveling throughout the U.S.and abroad, and adventuring. At various points in his life he pursued white water rafting, downhill skiing, jet skiing, riding his motorcycle, and camping in his pop-up trailer. His wife, sons, friends of his, and family members were often fortunate enough to be included in these adventures as Tom was a generous, and social individual.
Tom also absolutely loved model (toy) and real life trains. He combined his passion for trains and his handyman skills with Nancy’s artist touch and eye to create a museum-worthy model train layout in their basement that he showed off to interested (and sometimes uninterested) house guests.
Tom is survived by his sons Brian and Doug, his daughters in-law Emily Padua and Renee Beadle, his grandkids Milo and Mackenzie (who know him as Poppop), his three sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will say a final goodbye at a private, upcoming memorial service.
