Charles F. “Fruit” Bell, Sr. - September 04, 1964 - April 14, 2024

Departed: 04/14/2024 (Nashville)
Obituary Preview: Charles Felix Bell, Sr. ("Fruit") was called home on Sunday April 14, 2024, to Nancy Louise Bell (mother), and Thomas A. Bell Sr. (Father) of West Tennessee. "Fruit" gave his life to Christ at an early age.  Currently, he was attending Harpeth Hills Church of Christ. "Fruit" graduated from John Overton High School in  1983 and he also attended Aquinas Junior College. "Fruit Bell" was one of the best athletes in the State of Tennessee in Football and Baseball. Many of his great athletic achievements were exhibited at John Overton High School.
"Fruit" was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, and friend. "Fruit" was married to the late Karen Young Bell and from their union two children were born, Fieara Bell, and Charles Bell, Jr. "Fruit Bell" had a smile that could light up a room.
He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was always a phone call away to whoever needed him. He also would open his home up to anybody that needed a place. He loved just lending a helping hand washing and repairing cars, cutting grass, coaching football and softball. He was a grill master, the only person that would flip hot meat using his bare hands and no grilling utensils. I could write a book on how "Fruit Bell" loved helping people. One thing about "Fruit Bell" is that he loved his family and he was a real family man.
"Fruit" was proceeded in death by father, Thomas A. Bell and mother, Nancy L. Bell; sister Brenda C. Bell; brother William G. Bell Sr. ("Junior Bell”), and ex-wife, Karen Y. Bell.
He leaves to cherish his memories, devoted daughter, Fieara Bell and son Charles Bell, Jr.; grandchildren William Coffee Jr., Skyy Coffee, Charen Bell, Charmyn Bell, and Tristian Ellis; Devoted Brothers Thomas A. Henry B. Shelton, Jr. - September 12, 1965 - April 07, 2024

Departed: 04/07/2024 (Nashville)
Obituary Preview: Henry B. Shelton was born to the late Bertha M. And Henry B. Shelton, Sr. on September 12; 1963; in Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated from the much-loved Whites Creek High School where he was a member of the Band of Distinction. Henry is an alum of THE Tennessee State University and a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.
He was an ordained deacon at New Hope MB Church, and he was all things audio-visual for the church. It gave him great pleasure in sending daily scriptures to family and friends. Second to his service to church, was his faithful service to Davidson County Sheriff’s Department, retiring after 29 years of service.
Henry was the kind of man most mothers want their daughters to marry. If a man treats his mother well, he will make a loving and kind husband. He loved his mother and mother-in-love, treating them with the respect and care most mothers only dream about. Henry was a people person,  meeting strangers only once. He was known as the “community husband” because Henry was the husband that wives called when something needed to be put up, put together, or fixed. Not only was he the community husband, but he was also the “Honey Do”  extraordinaire . Let’s not forget he was “DJ Blends,” so dubbed because he volunteered to DJ on the 25th wedding anniversary of Tina and Glenn Perkins in 2012, thereafter becoming his appointed assignment.
Grilling was a passion of his; however, it was second to his passion for his family and providing for them. Henry was a devoted and loyal husband and a loving and caring father.
Remembering Henry and mourning his passing are loving family and friends: devoted wife, Melaton; daughters, Sydney and Morgan; devoted sidekick, Peanut (family pet); brother-in-law, Ronald Esper (Janet) Bass; nephew, Christopher (Katierose) and great niece, Shay Merritt Olivia Bass; devoted cousins, Patrick (fraternity brother), Erric McFarland, Darius “DJ” Merriweather, Lem Wade, Barbara Shelton Taylor, Asby Shelton and Steve Hampton; loyal friend and fraternity brother, Anthony Davis; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.
