Maria Teresa "Tere" Mancha - March 16, 1942 - April 21, 2022

Departed: 04/21/2022 (Laredo)
Obituary Preview: Maria Teresa “Tere” Mancha was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world and gained her eternal wings on April 21, 2022, at the age of 80 years.
Mrs. Mancha was born to the late Gabriel and Lucia Tijerina in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. She is survived by her husband Jesus Mancha and her sister Rosa (Jesse +) Marciel. Jesus and Tere have four children, Teresa (Juan +) Garcia, Lucia (Rafael) Garcia, Jesus (Ana) Mancha, and Alejandro Mancha +.
Mrs. Mancha loved her nine grandchildren for whom she was the proudest and loudest cheerleader, Juan Jr., Sergio, Alejandro, Alyssa, Cristina (Bobby), Daniel (Devonna), Jesus, Luis, and Ariana. She encouraged her “niños” to work hard and excel in and out of school. There was no event or game they participated in that she was not there. Even if she would hop from one of our cars to another.
She relentlessly chased every dream she had. She always said her greatest accomplishment was establishing a family of her own. That dream started when she met the love of her life, husband Jesus Mancha, “Chuy”, who had been by her side every day for 58 years.
The Mancha family would like to thank the staff of Las Alturas Nursing Home for the care, love, and understanding shown to our beloved matriarch. They went out of their way to not only take care of Mami but also make Papi feel welcomed as well. Last, we want to thank the office of Dr. Carlos Hornedo with special thanks to Jesse Coe FNP-C for the warm and tender care he provided our beloved Mami.
