Veronica "Verito" Jimenez - June 20, 1982 - August 29, 2021

Departed: 08/29/2021 (Laredo)
Obituary Preview: Veronica Jimenez was called to Heaven on Sunday, August 29, 2021.  “Vero” or “Verito” as she was affectionately known, was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, wife and friend.
Vero was a kind and giving person who had a wonderful sense of humor. Vero could always be counted on for a laugh. She loved being around friends and family. When facing difficult situations, she tried to remain positive and held onto her faith to see her through tough times.
Vero worked as a paraprofessional at Bonnie Garcia Elementary School for thirteen years.  Her nurturing personality made her an asset to the pre-kinder and kinder teams and students.  Vero took pride in her work and realized the importance of working with young students.
Vero was a firm believer in telling people that you love them because you never know if it may be the last time. We should all try to follow her example. If you love someone, tell them…because hearts are often broken by words left unspoken. Vero’s passing was unexpected and she will be terribly missed but we have gained an Angel to watch us from above. She will be in our hearts forever.
She is preceded in death by her parents Octaviano Sr. and Maria de la Luz Gutierrez, father-in-law Pablo Jimenez Sr, brother-in-law Hector Saucedo and grandmother Aurora Soliz.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Bruce, daughters Sharon Lee (Rick Flores) Alyssa Lynette, Melanie Aurora; brother Octaviano Jr. (Gabriela) Gutierrez; sister Liz Adriana (Rogelio) Fermin; mother-in-law Olga Saucedo, sisters and brothers in law Nancy (Rodney) Gomez, Olga Jimenez, Pablo Jimenez Jr., Brenda (Holeonel) Halliburton, Rick (Araceli) Jimenez, Vanessa (Hector) Galvan and numerous nieces and nephews.

Antonio "Tony" Niño - February 28, 1953 - April 04, 2021

Departed: 04/04/2021 (Laredo)
Obituary Preview: Antonio "Tony" Niño, 68, passed away on April 4, 2021.
“Well, there goes our beer money,” Tony, who did not actually drink, would always say. With a happy go lucky spirit and a charitable heart, Mr. Niño was not only a loving husband and great father figure to his beloved grandson, but he was also the type of person to give the shirt of his back to those in need. He loved to joke and tease and was well known at the Laredo Medical Center where he worked for over 25 years for his signature colorful tennis shoes. He loved his 50’s and 60’s oldies music, was an avid picker of collectibles and just about anything he came across, but his best therapy and pastime was the Zoom meetings he had with his Humboldt State University family, from where he had received his nursing degree in California.
Antonio lived an exceptionally good life. No words can express his loss, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him and those whose lives he touched in one way or another.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Niño & Consuelo Niño.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, San Juanita "Janie" Niño, sons: Adam Oso Niño, Sergio (Estrella) Ayala Sr. from North Dakota, Ernesto (Marisol) Ayala from Florida & Steven (Colleen) Ayala from Laredo, Texas; beloved grandson, Sergio Ayala, brother, Carlos (Betty) Niño, sister, Ruth (Jagjit) Chatrath, other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, & his Humboldt State University family.
