Regina Lynn Adderley - August 26, 1940 - November 11, 2023

Departed: 11/11/2023 (Fernandina Beach)
Obituary Preview: On August 26 in the year of 1940 a beautiful bouncing baby girl was born to proud parents- the late Herbert Saunders and Louise Thurston Saunders native Bahamians. They decided to name their ninth and final baby Regina Lynn. Regina means “Queen.” And throughout her life Regina would live up to the meaning of that name. Regina was reared in humble beginnings in Hollywood (Liberia), Florida. Having a mother as a Church of God missionary she literally knew and served the Lord at a very early age. When asked how old was she when she gave her life to the Lord, Regina would respond “I was saved from a toddler because all I have ever known was Christ!”
Not only was Regina faithful and spiritual in the church, she was also academically smart. As a result of her academic achievements, Regina was the Salutatorian for the Attucks High School Class of 1958. After graduating from high school she would go on to attend the historical black college Howard University in Washington, DC to major in Speech Language.
Regina was a people person and had a personality that would automatically draw you in. You were not a stranger long after being in her presence. She enjoyed life and she loved church.
Regina was a member of the Dania Church of God from a youth. In January of the year 1969 a revival took place and a handsome young man gave his life to the Lord. He would go on to say that the moment he saw this beautiful creature, he knew that she was the one that God had for him. On May 17, 1969 this couple was married in Holy Matrimony. This union would go on to produce two beautiful children.
Regina was a faithful member to her church serving in many and various capacities including serving as the church clerk for over 30 years. Regina loved working for the Lord and was a true worshipper and praiser. Her praise can literally shift an atmosphere. Not only was Regina a praiser she was an intercessor. Even when she wasn’t feeling her best she continued praying for anyone who requested prayer. Although she never moved her membership, she was placed under the covering of the Elm Street Church of God when she moved to Fernandina Beach, Florida in December of 2020 and remained faithful until the end. Regina loved to garden and she was an amazing cook. Her signature dishes were her native Bahamian foods piegon peas and rice and chicken souse. She enjoyed picking her vegetables in her garden with her husband and cooking them for her family. Regina absoulutely loved her family.
On Saturday Novemeber 11, 2023 at 3:35 AM surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home, Regina took her last breath and received her ultimate healing and went from labor to reward. She is officially healed. She leaves to mourn her legacy and cherish her memories are her loving Husband of 54 years William Adderley, Loving children: Nicole Campbell (Dwayne) and William II (Shontell), her granchildren whom she adored: Darius, Brittany, Xavier and Courtney Adderley, Chandler, Cameron and Caleb Campbell; her one and only great grandchild Jordan Adderley who was her heart; Aunt in Law: Geneva Cooper (Fonzell); In Laws: Bishop Degrando Franks Sr., Alfred Adderley, Alvester Talomerna, Bishop Glenn Adderley (Alicestein), Randolph Adderly (Vernice), Louise Henderson, David Adderly (Bridgette), Helen Adderley, Dorothy Saunders, Her adopted children: Attawa McEwen, Nakeesha Cox, June Cranston, Teresa Roberson, Andrea Jones, many loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, her church families and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends
