Burial will be privately held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Brasher Falls, NY with military honors. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Mr. Poirier passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
John is survived by his four children, Michael Poirier and his wife, Rose Anne, of Spencerport, NY, Anne Frary and her husband, Michael, of Ogdensburg, NY, David Poirier and his wife, Lynne, of Springfield, VA, and Paul Poirier of Ogdensburg, NY; twelve grandchildren, Marissa Allen and her husband, Tyler, Jessica Feor and her husband, David, Megan Poirier and her fiance, Michael Spoto, Jonathan Frary and his wife, Emily, Chris Frary, Leanne Bouffard and her husband, Ryan, Michael Frary, Ryan Frary and his fiance, Amanda Johnston, Andy Poirier and his fiance, Andriana Nazarian, Ryan Poirier, Tyler Poirier, and his fiance, Carleigh Johnson, and Samantha Poirier; thirteen great grandchildren, Grace and Mason Allen, Marco Feor, Colin, Clayton, and Cooper Frary, Vera, Ellie, Beau, and Livy Bouffard, Jace Havens, Felix and Fallon Frary; a sister, Shirley Rochon, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by the love of his life, Margaret Poirier in April 2019; his son, Brent Poirier in April 2023; eight siblings, Euclide Poirier, Oscar Poirier, Rene Poirier, Isabel Gardner, Eleanor Racine, Beatrice Montroy, Roger Poirier, and Simone Moss.
John was born on May 9, 1934 in Cornwall, ON, the son of Mederic and Cecile (Major) Poirier. He attended local schools. He relocated to Massena to embark on the St. Lawrence Seaway project, specifically contributing to the construction of the Iroquois and Snell locks. Just before John began his tenure in the US Army, he wed Margaret Jane Foley on September 16, 1957, at St. Patrick’s Church in Hogansburg, NY, officiated by Msgr. Walter Funke. They then moved to Texas, where John served as a corporal from 1957 to 1959 and where they began to grow their family. Following his military service, John became the proprietor of a farm in Brasher Falls. Subsequently, he expanded his ventures by establishing Poirier Farm Machinery and snowmobile sales. John and his wife, Margaret, later owned and operated the Helena House for 25 years until his retirement in 1995.
His love for family and friends was without bounds. His generosity was endless and he leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and encouragement. He loved entertaining by playing the piano. He so enjoyed the card games with his very good friends, and visiting the casino always made him smile.

Interment will be in the springtime at the Morningside Cemetery in Malone at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Malone.
Michelle is survived by a brother, Kevin Thompson of Malone, NY; five sisters, Lori Thompson, Shelly Thompson, Tammy Thompson, all of Malone, NY, Patty Clark and her husband, Tony, also of Malone, NY and Kim Rondo and her husband, Randy, of Chateaugay, NY; several aunts and uncles, and numerous nieces and nephews. Michelle is predeceased by her parents, Darrel and Gloria Thompson and her brother, Robert Thompson.
Michelle was born on April 12, 1966, in Malone, NY, the daughter of the late Darrell E. “Pop” and Gloria J. “Rosie” (McDonald) Thompson. She graduated from Franklin Academy in 1984. Michelle worked for Kmart in Malone for many years, later working part time at Kinney Drugs and Dollar General until she was unable to work due to illness.
Michelle was a beloved member of her community, known for her warmth, kindness, and incredible baking skills. She brought joy to those around her through her delicious creations and her generous spirit. Michelle’s greatest joy came from helping her siblings raise their children and witnessing the joy in their eyes as they grew, flourished, and started families of their own. Her legacy of love, generosity, and delicious treats will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Michelle will be greatly missed.

Robert is survived by his children, Valerie Willard of Rensselaer Falls, NY, Robert Willard, Jr. and his former wife Chona of Alexandria, Virginia, and Walter Willard and his wife, Betsy, of Heuvelton, NY; five grandchildren, Andrew Rupert, Alyssa Rupert, Dakota Willard, Carina Willard and Annasofia Willard; his former wife, Anne Howes; and several nieces and nephews. He was also expecting the birth of his first great-grandchild in July, a girl to be born to Andrew. Robert is predeceased by his siblings, Richard (Tom) Willard, Leonard Willard, Walter Smithers, William Willard, Charles Willard, Donald Willard, Nina Mae Borgeson and James Willard.
Robert (Bob) was born at the family home on March 20, 1943 in Heuvelton, NY, the son of the late Walter Van Willard and June Emma (Pike) Willard. He enlisted in the United States Army in August 1962 and was later honorably discharged in September 1966. Upon returning home from the military Bob went to work helping with the family farm. Bob also worked for Diamond National and later became a truck driver for various companies such as Peter’s Paving, and ST Trucking until the time of his retirement. Bob was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was known for his love of tractors, chainsaws, and the serenity of the woods. He could always be found tinkering in the barn or riding his 4-wheeler along his property and in the woods. Bob's passion for life was matched only by his dedication to serving his country and supporting fellow veterans. He was proud to be an Army veteran and spoke of this to the very end. Bob's legacy of resilience and camaraderie will live on in the hearts of all who knew
him. An honorary graveside service and celebration of life will be held in the
near future.

Patricia was born on October 29, 1938, in Crary Mills, the daughter of the late Darwin and Maude (Dow) Whitman. Patricia was first married to Kenneth Durgan in 1959, which ended in divorce. She later married Robert "Bouncer" L. Johnson on July 29, 1977, at the United Methodist Church in Heuvelton. He predeceased her on December 18, 2001. Patricia was employed by as a machine operator at Standard Shade Roller for several years and also worked at Stewart’s Shops in Ogdensburg.
Patricia found immense pleasure in the timeless tales of old western movies. From John Wayne's rugged heroism to the sweeping landscapes of Monument Valley. Patricia's adoration for classic country music was as deep-rooted as her love for her family and friends. Whether it was the twang of Hank Williams or the heartfelt ballads of Patsy Cline, she found solace and joy in the melodies that filled her heart. Beyond her love for music, movies, and dancing, Patricia will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and her unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; her children, Megan Cutwa and Julie Cameron and her husband Michael, all of Ogdensburg; her grandchildren, Skye, Maxwell, and Brielle Cameron, of Ogdensburg; her brother, John Arthur and his wife Laura Foster, of Hermon; her sister, Jodie Arthur, of Ogdensburg; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; her sister-in-law, Debbie Smith; and mother and father-in-law, Jack and Eleanor Cutwa.
Susan was born on September 5, 1955, in Ogdensburg, NY, the daughter of the late Ralph and Glenna Jennings Arthur. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1973. Susan married Paul Cutwa on October 29, 1977 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ogdensburg. She worked for Hepburn Hospital as a certified nurse aide for over 37 years.
She enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas, spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs, Betty, Brewster, and Kevin.

Mr. Powers passed away on Monday, February 12 at Halifax Hospice Home in Edgewater, FL, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Ogdensburg to John Harold Powers and Gladys (McLean) Powers. He graduated Ogdensburg Free Academy and SUNY Canton before proudly serving in the US Navy. John retired from Niagara Mohawk and worked at Maple City Auto later taking up a hobby job at the Daytona International Airport, where he fostered many close friendships.
He is predeceased by his parents John Harold & Gladys Powers, his sisters, Mary Sovie & her husband James Sovie, Eileen Bernhardt, Nancy Campbell, and his beloved wife of 41 years, Suzanne (Towsley) Powers.
John is survived by his children, Shelley Powers-Pearson (Daniel Pearson II) Cindy Alcombright (Renee Lutz), and John Harold Powers III, his sister, Marilyn Carr (Gerald Carr). grandchildren Eric John LeClair, Alexei Sue Alcombright, and John Harold Powers IV. He had several nieces and nephews, including Sean Campbell and Jodi Stewart, who were like children to him. He is also survived by his loving companion Suzanne Kiah of 14 years and her family.
John enjoyed traveling with his family, camping, woodworking in his shop, fishing on the St. Lawrence River, golfing in sunny Florida, and helping countless others in need. John’s final request was for everyone to “Keep Having Fun!”

Violet was born April 2, 1949, in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Joseph Henry and Violet Pearl (Law) Ashley. She attended Ogdensburg Free Academy and worked for NYSARC Seaway Industries in Massena. In 2009, she moved to Potsdam and began working for PACES at Potsdam State University.
She enjoyed shaping ceramics, collecting dolls, playing video games, watching movies, and playing bingo in Potsdam and Canton. She loved working outside, going on trips with sister Valerie to Dairy Queen, and participating in the Polar Bear Golf Tournament. The family thanks Violet's caregivers at the Massena IRA facility.

Bob was born on August 4th, 1969 in Ogdensburg to Paul Duaine Morley, Jr. and Diana Kay Burden (Patton). He was preceded by his mother, father, and beloved wife Ann Morley (Sheets). He married the love of his life, Ann, along the banks of the beautiful St. Lawrence River on August 9th, 2003 in Waddington. She was his soulmate. Bob was a very talented water well driller, both commercial and residential. He did work throughout the state. Hunting and anything involving the outdoors were his passion. He absolutely adored his chocolate lab Buddy and yellow lab Bailey. His smile was infectious. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Christy Morley of GA, his stepchildren Misty Scott (Whalen) and Michael Sheets, his sister Heather Morley of VA, his sister Lorie and George Tulip, and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Mary Compo; her brother, Stanley Compo; and her granddaughter, Jennifer Oneil.
Mary was born on April 14, 1943, in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Stanley and Mary Compo. She attended Ogdensburg Free Academy and received her GED. She married Wayne Cordwell on June 4, 1963 at Notre Dame Church with Rev. Monsignor A.D. Charbonneau presiding. She stayed at home, raising her five children and went to work at Kinney Drugs after her children were grown.
She enjoyed making crafts, crocheting blankets, cooking, crafting ceramics, playing games like scrabble and bingo, going to garage sales, and refinishing antiques. She was very outdoorsy, she enjoyed riding on the tractors through the woods with her children picking leeks and having picnics. She enjoyed the company of her two good friends, Pauline Patnode and Betty Mattice who she did a lot with. She also even helped her husband installing woodstoves, when he had his business. She was an amazing woman and mother, who always took care of the neighborhood children.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home. Richard “Dick” G. Lockwood, 85, of Ogdensburg, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 11, 2024. Dick was born on August 2, 1938, to the late Charles “Smokey” and Tina (LaPlante) Lockwood. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sylvia (Lesperance) Lockwood; his children, Michael Lockwood and his wife Darla, of Chambersburg, PA, Karen Lockwood, of Ogdensburg, NY, Andrew Lockwood and his wife Christine, of Southampton, NY, Scott Lockwood and his wife Debi, of Plainfield, IL, Timothy Lockwood and his wife Kristin, of Cortland, NY, Matthew Lockwood and his wife Donna, of Dallas, TX, and Christopher Lockwood and his wife Nicole, of Frankfort, NY; his grandchildren, Kalee, Benjamin, Christian, Hana, Evan, Cameron, Nathan, Kim, Christie, Payton and Logan; his great grandchildren, Eleaner, Ada, Hazel, and Matthew; his brothers, Charles “Smokey” Lockwood and his wife Judy, and Thomas Lockwood and his wife Glenda, both of Florida; many nieces and nephews and his long time family friends, the Mastin Family, and numerous additional people whose
friendships he treasured. Dick graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1956 and received his Bachelor’s Degree in teaching in 1960 from Potsdam State. Dick married Sylvia on November 14, 1959, at Notre Dame Church with Rev. Cyril Rapin presiding. In 1960, he started his teaching career as a science and math teacher at John F. Kennedy Elementary School, later becoming Principal of Madill and Lincoln Elementary Schools. Dick eventually took the position of Principal at the OFA Middle School where he retired in 1995 after 35 years. In 1980, Dick became the Mayor of the City of Ogdensburg where he faithfully served the community for 20 years and earned the spot as the longest tenured Mayor of Ogdensburg. He also served as President of the New York State Conference of Mayors as well as sitting on various local community boards and organizations. The Richard G. Lockwood Civic Center and Hockey Arena was dedicated in his
name in 2001. Dick enjoyed drinking his “cup of joe” on the dock, his daily walkabouts, and traveling to see his family. His many hobbies included woodworking in his shop, beekeeping and extracting honey and roasting his own coffee. For several years Dick enjoyed working with his brothers on their hobby clamming business, Trebros Clamming, in Florida. He will be missed dearly by his family

Dylan Paul Kinch, formerly of Ogdensburg and of Little Falls passed away unexpectedly from cardiac complications on January 1, 2024 on New Year's Day at the age of 40.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a Celebration of Life reception on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 2pm-7pm at the Ogdensburg Moose Lodge, located at 609 Pickering Street in Ogdensburg, NY 13669. His burial will be held privately by his family.
Dylan was the first born of three children at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg, NY on May 4, 1983, son of the late Paul Kinch and Kelly (Mills) Kinch, who resides in Saranac Lake. Dylan is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Alvie & Marguerite (Nana) Kinch and his maternal grandparents, Darrell & Joan Mills along with his father, Paul.
Dylan had an amazing childhood and spent most nights playing hide and seek with his two little sisters and all the kids from the neighborhood. Growing up Dylan loved to Jam Out on his drums, listen to music and he always played sports. Dylan was the captain for the Blue Devils Hockey Team #18, and he was a legend on the Ice. They called him “Shooter.” He had this unique ability to make friends with anybody. He would do anything to see us smile! The “old boys” humor and sound of his laugh was so contagious it would fill the room with tears of joy.
He attended Ogdensburg Free Academy and he set many records and earned many awards. He loved to gamble, make bets, and play heads or tails with his friends. He had a special connection with each and every one of us. Dylan graduated in 2001 and shortly after he moved to Little Falls, NY, where he met his wife Erica (Korce) Kinch and daughter Gianna Dinehart whom he loved and adored. He had a special love for animals and most importantly his dog Duke. Dylan's main passion for the last 10 years was his garage shop. He had an amazing shop with a lift and many unique “special tools” as he referred to them. His legacy of unwavering positivity and love continues to inspire his family and all who knew him.

Kerry is survived by his wife, Lucinda (Cindy) Merritt of De Peyster, NY; his daughter, Jennifer Jackson and her husband, Michael, of Fort Ann, NY; three grandchildren, Christopher Jackson and his wife Josette, Emily Jackson and Kaitlyn Jackson; a sister-in-law, Ann Erwin and her husband Robert; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Carolyn Myers in 2022.
Kerry was born on August 25, 1944, in Ogdensburg, NY, the son of the late Lawrence D. and Jean T. (Thornton) Merritt. He graduated from Canton Central School in 1963. Kerry went on to serve in the United States Army from 1965 where he served a tour of duty in Korea. Mr. Merritt was honorably discharged in 1969. He continued to serve our country in the Active Reserves from 1975 until 1980. Kerry married Lucinda E. Wainwright on September 6, 1969, with Rev. Albert Cameron officiating at the United Methodist Church in Heuvelton, NY. Kerry worked as a millwright at Alcoa, Inc. in Massena, NY for thirty-five years until his retirement in 2001. Mr. Merritt proudly served as Town Supervisor of De Peyster for twenty years as well as the Town Board for fourteen years.
Kerry was a remarkable individual whose zest for life extended far beyond the boundaries of age. He passionately embraced the game of basketball, gracing the court until the impressive age of 65. A seasoned horseshoes enthusiast, Mr. Merritt found joy in the camaraderie of the game. Kerry’s commitment to community service was evident through his memberships in the VFW in Canton, AMVETS in Heuvelton, and the positions he served for the Town of De Peyster, where he dedicated his time to the service of others.

Joseph Treffle Faubert Jr. - January 31, 1933 - December 11, 2023

Obituary Preview: Joseph Treffle Faubert, Jr. died on Monday at the age of 90, at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, after a period of declining health and surrounded by family.
Born in Massena on January 31, 1933, known by most as Tref, he was the son of Joseph Treffle Faubert, Sr. and Julliette (DuFour) Faubert. Tref was married to Alys Joyce (Whitney) Faubert for 60 years before her passing in 2015.
Tref graduated from St. Joseph Ursaline Academy, after which he attended the General Motors Institute in Detroit. Together with his brother Jules, Tref operated Faubert Buick on Main St. in Malone for many years after the death of their father, who founded the firm in 1946. While the company closed in the early 1980’s, Tref never lost his passion for automobiles and for “closing deals,” and he continued to do so for the rest of his life, at Lyng Motors of Malone and later at Drew Buick of Plattsburg as an independent trader.
Tref was proud retiree of the New York National Guard’s Battery A, 186th Field Artillery Battalion where he reached the rank of Captain. He was active in many local organizations, especially the Malone Rotary. His patriotism was very strong proven by his involvement in the annual Memorial Day parade where he served as marshal for many years.
After a fire destroyed the family home on First St in Malone, he lived in a cabin on the St. Regis River until being cared for by family in Malone over the past year.
Tref was predeceased by his oldest son, Joseph Treffle Faubert, III and a great grandson Francis Faubert Synder; his brothers John, Guy and Jules Faubert; and his sisters Julliette Routh, Jeanette Deleel, Carmen Laurin, and Pauline Faubert.
He is survived by his son Craig (Shirley) Faubert of Malone; and daughters Denise (Robert) Sheridan of Los Angeles, Michelle (Paul) Fisher of Malone, Gisele (Keith) Reynolds of Shrewsbury, Mass, and Kimberly Faubert of Los Angeles; Grandchildren: Silas Richards, Whitney Bonner, Josie Lamica, Courtney Sheridan Cronkrite, Clarke Sheridan, Nicholas Gauthier, Nicole Gravel, Chantelle Faubert, Gregory, Natalie and Bradley Reynolds; Greatgrandchildren: Wyitt and Madeleine Snyder, Ethan Faubert, Bailey Gravel, Margeaux Lamica, Claire and Jack Cronkrite; and his sister-in-law, Carloyn Faubert.
Visitation will be between the hours of 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Frary Funeral Home at 530 East Main Street in Malone.
Funeral will be at 12:00 PM following the calling hours at St. Andre Bessette Parish (formerly Notre Dame Church) at 11 Church Place in Malone.
Reception for friends and family will be held at the American Legion Hall, 53 Morton Street in Malone following the Funeral Mass.

Colonel Havens passed away at her home on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home in Ogdensburg.
Surviving Col. Havens are her sister, Kathleen (Liz) Carpenter of Venice, FL.; her brother, Jeremiah (Pete) Havens of Ogdensburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph Sr. and Marion (Hurley) Havens; brothers, Joseph Havens Jr. and Robert Havens,  and sisters, Helen Louise Todd and Sally Ann Bush.
Col. Havens was born January 30, 1939, a daughter of the late Joseph Havens Sr. and Marion, in Ogdensburg, NY. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1956 and the St. Lawrence School of Nursing in 1959. She then entered the U.S. Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant and continued her education receiving her B.S. Degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Master's Degree from Webster University in Missouri.
She served in the military over 30 years with state assignments in Ohio, Illinois, California and Texas; and overseas duties in Japan, Germany and Vietnam. Her career centered on critical care nursing. In addition to opening several intensive and coronary care units, she functioned as bedside nurse, teacher, consultant, inspector and administrator.
Col. Havens also served as nurse administrator for the Air Force's largest 1000 bed medical center with responsibility for 1800 personnel, while at the same time providing consultation to the Surgeon General in critical care nursing. She culminated her career as a member of the Inspector General Team charged with inspecting Air Force medical facilities throughout the world.
She earned several commendations, including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Bronze Star and the Legion of Merit award. Following her departure from military service, she was involved in Medical Research until her retirement in 1995.
After many years of service around the world, and living in her beloved San Antonio, Texas, Col. Havens returned to the North Country in 2011 to be near family and friends, and the beautiful St. Lawrence River. Col. Havens was a faith-filled woman who practiced the Catholic faith throughout her life. She staunchly defended the sanctity of all human life. Obituary Preview: Willard C. Ashley passed away peacefully and was reunited with his beloved Myrtis on December 1st, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Home where he has resided for his last days.
Willard was born on November 6th, 1937, a son of Charles and Bernadette (Fortin) Ashley. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and married his soul mate, Myrtis Brenno on May 18th, 1957. The couple shared over 63 wonderful years together until Myrtis passed in 2020.
Like many young men of that era, Willard worked on the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Upon completion of the Seaway he began his career at ACCO where he made many life-long friends and retired after many years of service. He also served in the Army Reserves for several years.
Willard was a very active man. He participated in many sports in high school and had many hobbies and interests in adulthood. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, garden and tinker in his woodshop. He caned countless chairs over the years for family and friends. He also made award winning wine that was shared and enjoyed by his many friends and family and he volunteered his time and talents to many community organizations and events.
Willard is survived by his two children; Laurel Ford and her husband Brian of Rochester and Charles and his wife Janice of Ogdensburg; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother Richard Ashley, a sister Diane Stroble and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Myrtis, his parents and sisters Elva Schuman and Theresa Henry. Willard loved his family and his many friends and he showed that love often in any way that he could. He knew that he was loved and he often said “I am the luckiest man on earth.”
Willard’s final wish was to be reunited with Myrtis at the mausoleum as quickly as possible, therefore there will be no calling hours or services. Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation in Willard’s memory is asked to consider the St. Joseph’s Foundation, 950 Linden Street, Ogdensburg.

Richard F. “Dick” Hawes was born on December 9, 1935 in Ogdensburg, NY. He was the son of the late Willis and Stella (Richard) Hawes. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy. On August 24, 1957 he married Shirley Dishaw at Notre Dame Church with Father Faucher officiating. He served in the United States Army National Guard for eight years. He worked for 43 years for Newell Manufacturing in Ogdensburg, retiring in 1997 as a Production Manager. After his retirement he continued to work as a driver for Frary Medical Transport Co.
Richard was a lifelong parishioner of Notre Dame Church and a Third Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He also enjoyed many hunting seasons at the family camp in Russell. He loved hunting, playing cards, fishing, golfing and Notre Dame Football. He enjoyed his gardens, doing little projects and cutting wood. He loved to visit and share stories but most of all, spending time with his family.
Dick is survived by his wife of 66 years, Shirley, his children; Steven Hawes of Ogdensburg, Mark Hawes and his wife Tina of Ogdensburg. His grandchildren; Melanie and her husband Joseph Barron of Spring Hill, FL, Laken and her companion Justin Hammer of Tampa, Florida, Jordan and his wife Brooke Hawes of Ogdensburg and well as his great-grandchildren; Savanna, Alexis, and Joseph Barron Jr. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother; Robert Hawes.

Shirley married Harry Brashaw on October 15, 1965, at the Ogdensburg First Methodist Church with Rev. E. Kendall Scouten officiating. He predeceased her on January 13, 1998. Shirley was first employed by New York Telephone as a telephone operator. Shirley and her husband, Harry, transported school children for the Ogdensburg City School District for many years. Mrs. Brashaw later retired from Claxton Hepburn Medical Center as a billing clerk in 2001.
Shirley cherished her time spent with her family and friends and loved to travel. She took pride in the time she spent singing in her church choir and Knights of Columbus Showtime. Shirley was also a past member of the Claxton Hepburn Ladies Auxiliary.

Obituary Preview: Patrick James Green passed away Monday, November 6th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He held a service for our Veterans in front of the town hall every year in Lisbon and we are keeping that important tradition. Please join us on Saturday, November 11th, 2023, at 11:00AM in honor of our Veterans. Immediately following there will be a celebration of life at the American Legion Post #1342, located at 6991 County Rd 10 in Lisbon. All are welcome and food donations can be dropped off after 9:00AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.
Patrick was born in Ogdensburg on May 24th, 1955, to Roswell Lester and Ruth (Richardson) Green. He graduated from Lisbon Central School. His life was full. Patrick took time after high school and traveled the United States working on bridges among many other things. He met the mother of his children in Nebraska and came back to Lisbon to run the farm and raise a family which he successfully did. Patrick never ceased to stand for the truth.
Patrick is predeceased by his father, mother, and his brother, Paul. He is survived by his significant other, Tara Lennox, who he spent the last fifteen years with and her children who were like his own; Natalie & Hannah Pitts and Noah & Olivia Liebstein. Patrick is also survived by his children: a son, Dustin Grape and significant other, Jeorjianna Sayer and their children, Zachery Donelly, Roman Cooksey, Ivie Grape, and Saya Cooksey; son, Cody Grape and companion, Jessica Misner; daughter, Jena Swan and her husband, Erik, along with their children Willow, Awnna and Jakob; daughter, Ruth Ennis and her husband, Sean, and their children, Dominic and Alistair; son, RL Green and his companion, Alysha Forsythe; daughter, Sarah Panetti and husband, Ethan, along with their children Addalene, Larretta and Sonnorah; and daughter ,Emily Panetti and husband, Lee, and their children, JuliAnne and JadiMay. Patrick is also survived by, Penny Carlson, mother of his children, and her husband, Thomas Carlson and his brothers and sister, Philip, Peter and Rebecca Green. We are all thankful for his life lived and confident he will spend eternity with the Lord God most high in perfect love and peace. "...so God made a farmer."

Scott J. Groulx was born on June 3, 1966, in Ogdensburg, NY. He was the son of Carl “Fred” Groulx and the late Carolynn (Roscher) Groulx. He was a 1984 graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy, in July of 1984 he enlisted in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1990. He worked for Mitel, COMPASS, the Co-Generation Plant and finally at Riverview Correctional in the maintenance department until his retirement in 2014. He was an avid reader, enjoyed movies, woodworking, he loved animals especially his Great Danes; Piper and Eve. He had a very good sense of humor and he loved his family very much.
Scott is survived by his father, Carl “Fred” Groulx of Ogdensburg, NY; his sister; Denise Groulx of Ogdensburg, NY and his niece, Lydia Shoen of Ogdensburg, NY. He was predeceased by his mother, Carolynn Groulx.
