She worked many different retail jobs, including KBC in Fulton and AC Moore in Clay, retiring in 2010 from AC Moore. Lori enjoyed many things in life including, knitting, sewing, bowling and she was an avid NY Yankee fan. She was also a part of the Fulton Women’s Bowling Association. Lori was predeceased by her parents and one sister, Dorothy.She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her husband of 57 years, David Dingman; two sons, Michael (Kim) Dingman of Fulton and Scott (Amanda) Dingman of Henrietta; two grandchildren, Joshua and Abigail; one brother, Rick; one sister, Marlene as well as several nieces and nephews.As Lori’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or service. A Fulton native she was the daughter of the late, Stephen and Anna (Michaellszyn) Kush who migrated to the USA in the late 1800’s from Ukraine. Jean started her career as an administrative secretary first for Armstrong then Diltz (Black Clawson/Davis-Standard) and later after 25 plus years of service retired from Sealright (Huhtamaki) all of Fulton. Jean had a great appreciation for music, attending and enjoying all the local community musicians’ events. She was a member of the Polish Home, Women’s Club and Garden Club where her creative flower arranging talents won her recognition awards. Jean was surrounded by a large family and a large group of close friends that she loved spending time, holidaying, lunching, picnicking, barbecuing, beaching, boating, dancing, and especially dining with. Jean and Charlie were a part of the “Supper Club” that with all their friends would gather at varying restaurants throughout the area once a month EVERY month for an astonishing 45 YEARS!! Spending time outdoors with nature, gardening was her absolute passion, and she took great pride in her landscape and flower bed designs that always made for an incredible beautifully manicured home and garden. Obituary Preview: Richard “Dick” Tetro, 78, died surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Dick resided in Fulton, N.Y. for most of his life. He graduated from Fulton High School in 1961, where he was quarterback of the varsity football team and a member of the inaugural wrestling team, and where he met his future wife, Brenda Tetro, née Crook. After graduating from Tri-State College (now Trine University) in 1965, Dick worked at Black Clawson in Fulton as a mechanical engineer and was awarded numerous patents for his inventions. He ultimately served in several roles at the company, including Vice President of Research and Development and Vice President of Sales, before retiring in 2006 after a 41-year career. In retirement, Dick spent summers on Oneida Lake and winters in Florida. Dick enjoyed fishing, building and flying R/C planes, designing and working on projects around the house, grilling, playing practical jokes and, above all, spending time with his family.He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda, to whom he was married for 57 years, daughter Maureen Lopez, née Tetro, and her husband Stephen Lopez of Saratoga Springs, son Stephen Tetro and his wife Jamie Tetro, née Kasher, of Chicago, Illinois, grandchildren Sarah Lopez and her fiancé Dylan Hinds, Rachel Lopez and her boyfriend Thomas Harrigan, Natalie Tetro and Libby Tetro, and numerous beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. In her free time, she loved mowing the lawn, tending to her flower garden, boating along the river, cheering on the Yankees, and listening to live music with her husband. Suzanne especially enjoyed listening to her husband’s band play. She was well loved by all the musicians who had met her. Suzanne always paid close attention and celebrated the small details of the people she loved. Whether it was with a handmade card, calendar, photo collage, or personalized gift, she always took the time to show just how much she cared. A Fulton native, Jim was born February 11, 1923, to the late Lillian and Leon Smith. He graduated from Fulton High School and worked as a lineman for Niagara Mohawk. He met his wife, Mary “Baba”, in 1946, they married after the war and promptly got busy building the house that is still called home today. He was an avid outdoorsman – fishing, boating, canoeing, golfing, snowmobiling and skiing. This love of the outdoors turned into Jim celebrating his 50th birthday by winning the National Canoe Racing Championship. He continued his pursuit of adventure and activity playing hockey for the Gray Wolves into his 90s. Throughout his life, Jim traveled with friends and family, most recently at the age of 96 to France and England to celebrate the marriage of his granddaughter. At home, he could always be found mowing his lawn on one of his many John Deere tractors or stacking wood for his perfectly aligned woodpile. Jim is survived by his daughter Linda (Smith) O’Hara; son-in-law, Bill (Carol) Orkis; sister, Jane Rawson; grandchildren, Daniel (Lauren) O'Hara, Jennifer O. (Dan) Waistell, Kaylan O. (Matt) Normandeau and Mitchell (Sean) Orkis; seven cherished great grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his wife, Mary H. Jim had many hobbies including golf, working in the woods, helping neighbors, visiting with his grandchildren, and watching sports, and he never missed an episode of Jeopardy. Mary was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her family. Cindy was born in Fulton on May 24, 1955, to Howard W. Thompson and Ruth M. (Lange) Thompson, and was raised in Granby and Ira. She was a 1973 graduate of Cato Meridian High School and graduated from Auburn Community College in 1975. Upon graduation she worked at Brunner the Printer in Auburn as a typesetter. After being a homemaker and stay at home mom for several years she returned to work at The Valley News as an ad typesetter and production coordinator. She also served as a clerk to the town supervisor for the Town of Granby. Cindy was a member of the Bowen’s Corners United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer and was the long-time editor of the church’s newsletter. Cindy enjoyed making crafts especially needlepoint and going to garage and book sales, but her biggest joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother often hosting weeklong “camps” for her grandsons. Besides her parents, Cindy was predeceased by her brothers Gerald (2008) and Howard (2015). Surviving is her husband of 45 years David; son Daniel (Amy) Crockford of Lockport; grandchildren, Dylan and Noah Crockford; brother, John (Kelly) Thompson of Buffalo; sisters, Mary Ann (Darren Terpening) VanLare of Hannibal, Ruth (Ed) McCarthy of Fulton, Helen Fisher of Syracuse, Betty (Nelson) Parsons of Hannibal and Beverly (David) Hoyt of Austell, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Kathy Thompson of Phoenix and Brenda Thompson of Cato; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Obituary Preview: Paul E. Foster, 68, of Fulton passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at home following a long illness. Born in Fulton, he was a lifelong resident. Paul was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School, class of 1971, where he lettered in varsity football and gymnastics. In 1973, he received an Associate degree from SUNY at Canton in applied science (Mortuary Science Program) and was a member of Alpha Theta Gamma Fraternity. Upon completion of college, he immediately joined the family firm of Foster Funeral Home, Inc. in Fulton making him the third generation in funeral service following his grandfather and founder of the firm, Rudolph P. Foster “R.P.” and his father, Clifford C. Foster. In 1985 Paul acquired the firm from his father and continued in funeral service until his retirement in 2019. In 1990, he purchased property in the village of Hannibal, NY and built a funeral home to serve the needs of the area. He received an honorary degree from Simmons Institute of Funeral Service in 1996. Paul was an active member and communicant of Holy Trinity Parish in Fulton serving on the parish finance council, as a lector and usher. He was a former member of State Street United Methodist Church in Fulton. Paul was extremely active in several professional and civic organizations. He was a former member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes, an international funeral service organization of privately owned and operated funeral homes. There, he served on its Board of Directors from 2008 – 2011 and as Secretary-Treasurer in 2011. He was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and the New York State Funeral Directors Association. Paul was also a member and past president of the Onondaga-Oswego Funeral Directors Association; Central NY Funeral Directors Association; Greater Oswego–Fulton Chamber of Commerce, Oswego County Chamber of Commerce and Greater Fulton Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Paul served on the A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital Board of Directors for over 12 years and was elected as president for three terms of office. He was a member of the Fulton Lions Club for more than 48 years serving as president in 1978-1979 and 2015-2016; as Deputy District Governor; Zone Chairman and was a recipient of the Lions Clubs International Melvin Jones Humanitarian Fellowship Award for community service in 1994. He served on the Catholic Charities of Oswego County Board of Directors for many years and the Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Syracuse Corporate Board. Paul had been very active with the Fulton Historical Society serving three terms as president and was a recipient of the Alma Smith Award for Dedicated Service. He was also a member and past chairman of Mt. Adnah Cemetery Board of Trustees. Paul was a member of several fraternal organizations including Past Master of Hiram Lodge #144 F&AM Past Potentate of Media Shriners; Past Director of Royal Order of Jesters; York Rite Bodies and Scottish Rite Bodies; Red Cross of Constantine; Knights of York Cross of Honor; St. Joseph’s Council #254, Knights of Columbus; Elks Lodge #830 and Friends of Fort Ontario serving on the board and as president from 2015-2019. In his spare time, Paul was a Civil War enthusiast and member of the 148th NYS Volunteer Infantry Regiment in Waterloo, NY and Sons of Union Veterans, Camp 146. He enjoyed Civil War reenacting at local and at national events. He frequently traveled to Gettysburg National Military Park and Battlefield and was a member of Friends of Gettysburg Foundation. Paul also enjoyed playing golf and was a longtime member of Beaver Meadows Golf Course. Surviving are his wife, Debra Rogers Foster, of Fulton; children, Stacey (Joseph) Stoddard Mare of Indiana; Kimberly (Kelly) Goss Leroux of British Columbia, Canada and Dennis (Brea) Goss of Fulton; grandchildren, Lauren Goss, Sarah Leroux, Katie Leroux, Jacob Goss and Brandon Mare; siblings, Ronald (Cynthia) Foster of Fulton and Carol Foster of Oswego; nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford C. Foster and Ruth Anderson Foster, sister, Sharon Foster Pryor and aunt, Marion Foster Taylor.
