LENORE JEAN CHARTREY was born November 28, 1939 in Toledo, Oregon, the daughter of the late Louis Ovid Chartrey and Agnes (Kalsch) Chartrey. She was raised and received her education in the Toledo community, having been a graduate of Toledo High School Class of 1958.
Lenore made her home in the San Francisco Bay area for many years. She worked in the banking industry, as well as the restaurant industry as a waitress. She later lived in the Forest Grove community, before moving to the Salem community in the mid 1970’s, where she had resided since.
Among her special interests, Lenore enjoyed crafts, beadwork, tole painting and quilting. She also liked to go camping and fishing for trout, with her family. Lenore also traveled with her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Ray Chapman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Agnes Chartrey and her sister, Carole Scott.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Ray Chapman, of Forest Grove, Oregon; her five nieces and nephews and their spouses, Philip and Pamela Chapman, of Hillsboro, Oregon; James and Amber Scott, of Ridgefield, Washington; Michael and Sue Scott, of Hillsboro, Oregon; Patrick Scott, of Woodland, Washington and Lorena Chapman and Michael Brassill, of Grants Pass, Oregon and several grand-nieces, nephews and cousins.
