Mrs. Hicks was a member of Alverson Grove Baptist Church and she loved life being with her family and friends.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jeffrey Scott “Scottie” Hicks; sons, Justin Hicks and Travis Hicks of Chesnee, SC; granddaughter, Haylie Hicks; brothers, Timmy Fowler and Monroe Fowler of Fingerville, SC, and her beloved German Shepherd “Buddy”. She was predeceased by a brother, Dean Fowler.
Visitation will be held 12:00-1:30 PM Monday, June 7, 2021, at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, with funeral services following at 2:00 PM in the Chapel conducted by The Rev. Mr. Spurlin was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and was a machine operator for over 20 years with Michelin. He attended New Life Baptist Fellowship. Chuck was an ultramarathon runner and avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Peggy Spurlin; son, Zach Spurlin; step-daughter, Amberly Bryant; step-son, Hunter Loftis; sister, Candace Barnette; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts; and Rascal, his Boston Terrier.
Visitation will be held 11:00 AM-12:00 noon Monday, May 10, 2021 at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, with services following at 12:00 noon in the Chapel, conducted by Pastor Scott Miller. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

She was predeceased by a daughter, May Yang, and sisters, May Yang Her, Joua Yang Her; brothers, Nchaiv Lwm Yaaj, Laj Zaag Yaaj, Ntsuab Lauj Yaaj, & Paaj Ntxawg Yaaj.
