Born on July 3, 1927, Joe was a man of integrity, known for his sharp wit, generous spirit, and the love he had for his family and friends.
Joe, a devoted husband, was predeceased by his cherished wife, Angelina Giovanniello. Together, they built a life full of love and laughter, setting an example of true partnership for their children and grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy through his two children, Vito Giovanniello and his wife Donna, Annette Pashayan and her husband Edward, as well as his adored three grandchildren, Danielle, Christopher, Diana and her husband Taylor. The family joyfully anticipates the arrival of Joe's soon-to-be great-granddaughter, who will learn of her great-grandfather's remarkable life through their loving memories.
In his professional life, Joe was the proud owner of a private sanitation company for 25 years. His hard work and dedication to his business were second only to his commitment to his family. Before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, Joe was a trusted truck driver for Waldbaum's, where he was known for his reliability and friendly nature.
Joe's passion for life was evident in his hobbies. He was an avid enthusiast of horse racing, both watching and betting on the races with a level of expertise and joy that was infectious to all around him. His love for playing cards was well-known among his friends and family, as many of his fondest memories were made around the card table, sharing stories and laughter.
He was a familiar face to many and will be remembered for his willingness to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

As we mourn the loss of Joseph Giovanniello, we also celebrate a life well lived—a life that touched so many with its warmth and generosity. Joe's memory will be carried forward in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were graced by his presence.
In accordance with his wishes, Joe's life will be commemorated in a private ceremony where his family and close friends will gather to honor his memory. His legacy will live on not only through his descendants but through the countless lives he enriched simply by being himself—Joe Giovanniello, a man of honor, humor, and humility.
The Giovanniello family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all who shared in Joe's journey and contributed to the full, rich life he led. They take comfort in knowing that Joe has been reunited with his beloved Angelina and that his story does not end here- but continues through the love and laughter he left behind. Joe's memory will forever be a beacon of light for all who knew him.

Stewart F. Pastor - April 30, 1949 - March 28, 2024

Departed: 03/28/2024 (Lynbrook)
Obituary Preview: With an extremely heavy heart, we announce the passing of our beloved Stewart FJ Pastor.  Stewart was a friend to everyone and a stranger to no one. He deeply loved his family, friends, and his veteran community.  As a proud dad of his two children, Carolyn and Joseph, it was common for Stewart to carefully plan his time around making sure that he was present for all of life’s moments to celebrate as well as be their champion, confidant, and protector during times of sadness.  There was no shortage of his desire to be a teacher of his craft and took every opportunity to learn as much as he could about anything and everything.  Stewart was the epitome of “go big or go home” whether it was when his children were younger and needed help with school projects or events, cheering from the sidelines making as much of a spectacle as he could, planning a simple road trip and turning it into an epic adventure, or how he famously would turn routine, mundane tasks into something everyone would suddenly find interesting to do.  Particularly during the holiday season, Stewart would often go out of his way to donate to the Salvation Army and loved picking out cards, fulfilling wishes from the angel trees.  Stewart would find humor in unexpected ways and you couldn’t help but to laugh, despite how serious of a situation. Known affectionally as “Pops” to his children, he will truly be missed beyond measure by all who knew him.
