He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Waldron; maternal grandfather, Lacy “Pop” Harris; and paternal grandmother, Terri “Boo” Wilson.
Zach worked for Toyota Racing Development. He attended Elevation Church in Ballantyne, North Carolina. Zach was a foodie and a lover of sports, especially basketball. You would find him cheering on the Lakers and UNC Tarheels. He enjoyed being outside, traveling, hiking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Zach is survived by the love of his life, Ashley “Lil’Mae” Hardy; his mother, Marie Waldron; two brothers, Blake Martin (Brittany) and Tank Young (Jessica); grandmothers, Barbara “Nanny” Harris and Nell Waldron; grandfather, Albert Wilson; four nieces, Brielle, Lillian, and Emersyn Martin, and Nori Young; special friend, Madison Olson; beloved fur babies, Elvis, Kyah, and Millie Joe; and a host of other family and friends.
There will be a funeral service on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Day Star Ministries Church, with Pastor Susan Adkins officiating. The family will accept friends one hour prior to the service. A burial will immediately follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park in Spencer, Virginia.

Pearl attended Monument of Faith Ministries and will be dearly missed by her friends and family. She is survived by daughters, Rachael Mahan, Aretta Smith, Lynn Moyer (Melvin), Dora Harris, and Louise Martin; son, John Mahan; as well as
23 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; and 19 great-great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Elder Lannie Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Fair Haven. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service.

Obituary Preview: James “Mac” Miles McAlister, 77, of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024. He was born May 3, 1946, in the town of Highlands, New York to the late Michael J. Milano, Sr. and Florence G. Wood Milano.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Linda Balough McAlister; sons, Johnathan McAlister, and James “Jimmy” McAlister; sister, Diane L. Milano; and brothers, Michael J. Milano, Jr., and James J. “GG” Milano.
Mac proudly served the United States in the Air Force during the Vietnam war. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and was very much involved in the POW MIA agency. He was a member of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission; a life member of the RMEF; a citizen member of the North Carolina Sheriff’s Association; a member of the American Legion and a proud supporter of America’s Veterans. He had a great passion for hunting and spent a great deal of time pursuing that passion. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Tucker (Adam) and Teresa Hines (Tyler); son, Jeffery McAlister, grandchildren, Angelena Tucker (Ben), Aubrey Tucker (Maggie), Crystal Blair, Justin McAlister (Elizabeth), Jared McAlister, Andrew Hines, Sara Hines, Caitlin McAlister, and Jacy McAlister (Brandon); several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with Ricky Rogers officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park in the family mausoleum. Military Honors will be presented by Veterans Honor Guard of Martinsville & Henry County.

Obituary Preview: Chancie Lewis Ashley, 79, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024. He was born February 2, 1945, in Henry County, to the late Roy Ashley and Sadie Spencer Ashley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Elaine Ashley (Doug)Adams; brother, Leroy Ashley (Patricia); his canine pal, Toby; and nephew, Jeffery.
Chancie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a retired Master Sergeant with over twenty years of service. He loved his country and said many times he would go back in if he was needed. Chancie also retired from Carilion Clinic. Chancie was a member of New Vision Baptist Church where he enjoyed being at the back door welcoming folks on Sunday mornings. He loved getting hugs from his friends, who soon became family. He loved working outside and enjoyed “piddling” in his workshop.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Mason Ashley; son, Roy Ashley (Lida); step-daughter, Keelie Jones; sister, Patty Kipfinger (Randy); brother, Wes Ashley (Phyllis); eight nieces and nephews; numerous great , and great great nieces and nephews; canine companion, Sarge; numerous “girlfriends”, who he loved very much, special friends, Erma, Geneva, Clif, Lisa, Nancy, Ann, Kenny, Mickey, Kathy, Janie, Shirley, Rose, Tommy, Chris, Georginea and all of his New Vision Baptist Church family.
Thank you to the staff of Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospice especially Amanda, Juliane, Susan Martin, Jill, Jessie, Jewel, Betty, and Rick. Thank you to all of the staff of CFMH Home Health, especially Christy. The family would also like to thank Dr. John Boone, his nurse, Sarah and the staff at Carilion Boones Mill for their care and concern during Chancie’s illness.
The funeral will be Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at New Vision Baptist Church, 4161 Fork Mountain Rd., Rocky Mount, VA 24171. The visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park. Military rites will be performed by Martinsville Henry County Honor Guard.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother.

Ronda will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and feisty personality. Her laugh and smile were infectious. She was loved by all and will be missed greatly.

He played lead guitar for the music group Family Five for 20 years.

White was born in Lancaster, PA on July 23, 1939. She earned a PhD in Asian studies from the University of Pennsylvania and taught a wide range of high school history classes and served as the Academic Dean at Edmund Burke. White was a passionate member of various churches, a dedicated scholar and reader and an avid fan of the Washington football franchise and the New York Yankees.

The simple things in life made Linda the happiest. She attended the Church of Christ in Florida. She loved to cook and garden. She had a green thumb when it came to her gardening and was very proud of it. She loved to learn new things, especially piano, which she could play by ear. She loved children and watching football, and she also loved Pig Latin and knitting. She enjoyed watching the sunrise, having a tan, and loved the warm weather and the beach. Not only did she enjoy being barefoot on the beach, but she also loved to be barefoot anywhere she possibly could. She was a caring woman who loved and cared for everyone she encountered.
Bunky is survived by her daughters, Teresa Leigh Gravely, Lisa Gravely Hughes (Ricky), and Lynn Gravely Clayton; sons, Walter Edward Jones II (Tina), William “Bill” E. Gravely (Kathy), Harold Douglas Gravely, Raul Elliot Gravely (Sharon), Freddie Allen Gravely, and Larry Dwayne Gravely (Sharon); sisters, Betty Anne Bowling and Helen Virginia Reynolds; brother, Larry William Bishop (Norma); 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
