Dear family and friends,
We gather here today to honor and celebrate the life of a truly remarkable man, Ken, who has left an indelible mark on all our lives. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the incredible life he led, the lessons he taught us and the love he shared with each and every one of us.
Ken was a humble man who lived a simple, yet meaningful life. He never sought recognition or praise, but rather dedicated his time and energy to being generous and supportive to his family and friends. He was a man who understood the importance of kindness, compassion, and love.

Behind Ken's quiet and unassuming presence, there was undeniable strength, resilience and wisdom. He was a man who faced life's challenges head on and emerged stronger for it. His strength of character and unwavering integrity made him a role model to many, including myself.
One of the fondest memories I have of my dear Grandad Ken was the simple act of going to the shop together. It was never about the errand or what we were buying, but rather the time we spent together, chatting about everything and anything, listening intently to his stories and soaking up the wisdom that he so willingly shared. Those moments, however ordinary they may seem, were some of the most valuable and cherished memories I shared with my Grandad.
As we reflect on the life Ken led, we also remember the words of the poem "Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep" by Mary Elizabeth Frye:
"Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain."
Though Ken is no longer with us physically, his spirit lives on in the many memories we shared, the lessons he taught us, and the love he gave. He will continue to be an inspiration to us, reminding us of the importance of living a life of integrity, humility, and love.
And as we bid farewell to dear Ken, I invite you all to join me in a moment of gratitude for the time we had with him, for his unwavering love and support, and for the incredible impact he had on our lives.
May Ken rest in peace, knowing that his legacy lives on in each and every one of us. Let us take the lessons he imparted upon us and be the people Grandad Ken believed we could become - compassionate and giving individuals dedicated to spreading love and positivity to everyone we meet.
Thank you, Grandad Ken. We will always love, cherish and celebrate you, our guiding light and constant inspiration.
