He was proceeded in death by his daughter Sally, his parents Jack and Judy, half-brothers Raymond Fields, George Fields.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruby Carolyn (Neal) Fields, and their five children. He was a loving and devoted father to Rebecca Neal, Barbie Fields, Stephanie Fields, Clayton (Amy) Fields, and Sandy (Amie) Fields. In addition, he cherished his role as a proud Papaw to his grandchildren, including Karol (Matt) Morris their daughter Brinley; Cody (Shelby) Whaley and their sons Cashdyn, Gage and Jagger; Clayton (Ashley) Mcglothin and their daughters Addison and Elsie, Victoria (Adrain) Dickerson and their daughters Riley and Reese, Travis (Natosha) McGlothin and his daughters Kenlee and Ansley, Kelly (Nate) Pack and their children Kayden and Nicole, Breanna Fields and her fiancé Parker Grubb, Alyvia Lamb, Abigail (Preston) Curtis and their children Raelynn and Walker, Justin Fields, and Krista Fields.
Clayton's long-standing passion for horses spanned over 50 years. Clayton dedicated himself to the horse industry, working tirelessly across Bourbon and Fayette Counties. He worked at several notable farms, including Threave Main Stud, Stone Farm, Bradyleigh Farms, Elmendorf Farms, Rosemont Farms, and Millennium Farms. He enjoyed going to wrestling, yard sales and spray painting about anything he could. His most enjoyment came from spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday October 2, 2023, at the River of Life Ministries, 616 Clintonville Rd., Paris, KY by Bro. Jim Muncie. Burial to follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY
Visitation will be from 12-2 PM Monday October 2, 2023, at the church.
Pallbearers will be Cody Whaley, Clayton and Travis McGlothin, Matthew Morris, Justin Fields, Hector Garrido.  Honorary pallbearers George Stone, Brian Dampier, Tom Eigel, Ronnie Wilcox, Charles (Adrian) Dickerson and Trinidad Arredondo.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
