Obituary Preview: Rebecca Kay Moore Sims, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Legacy Oaks Senior Living of Midlothian, Texas.  She was born on October 6, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee to Claris Curtis Moore Sr. and Elizabeth Sanders Moore.
Kay grew up in Hughes, Arkansas. She graduated from Hughes High School in Hughes, Arkansas in 1960. After high school she attended Ouachita Baptist University at Arkadelphia, Arkansas where she received a Bachelor of Education.  She began work for West Memphis school district as an elementary teacher for 17 years.  During these years she was very involved as a member of First Baptist Church of West Memphis, Arkansas.  She was the Director of Preschool/Kindergarten for a couple of years during that time.  After 17 years in West Memphis, Wayne and Kay moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas where she continued teaching in elementary for the Fort Smith School District.  She retired in 2002 after teaching for 34 years.
Kay married Wayne Sims in Hughes, Arkansas on December 28, 1964. They were happily married for 58 years.
Kay was preceded in death by her father, Claris Curtis Moore Sr.; mother, Elizabeth Sanders Moore; and her sister Shirley Trotter.
Kay is survived by her husband, Wayne, of Fort Smith, Arkansas;  son, Greg Sims and Daughter in law, Shey, along with two grandchildren, Casey and Josiah, all of Cordova, Tennessee; daughter, Shannon Sims Mints and Son in Law, Paul, along with two grandchildren, Chandler (wife, Hannah and son Jack) and Kayleigh Mints all of Mansfield, Texas; sister, Bettye Creamer and husband Herb of Dallas, Texas; and brother, Curtis Moore and wife, Sara of Waco, Texas.
A visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home at 105 W. 3rd. Ave. Crossett, Arkansas 71635 at 2pm, Tuesday, May 30, 2023.  A memorial graveside service will be held at Pinewood Memorial Park Cemetery at 3:30pm, Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

Charles William Foretich - November 15, 1932 - May 16, 2023

Obituary Preview: Charles William Foretich, 91, passed away on the evening of Tuesday May 16th, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife and children.
He was born on November 15th, 1932 in Bayou-La-Batre, Alabama. He grew up in Biloxi, Mississippi until he joined the United States Air Force in 1951. He served four years, one of which was in Korea during the Korean war.
He worked as an IBEW electrician for many years and finished his career with 18 years at General Motors and retired in 1997.
He was married to Nadine Foretich for 66 years and they had three children together. They moved to Springtown, Texas in 1985 and started building their home in the country.  He loved taking care of the land and his black angus cows,  He was a loving husband and wonderful father.
Charles was preceded in death by his father Elliot, mother Lula Mea, brother Lawrence and daughter Melinda.
Charles is survived by his spouse Nadine; his son Jerry; his daughter Lisa; his son Brandon; his daughter in-law Diana; his grand daughter Krystal (husband/Harley); his grandson Wessley (wife/Katie); his grandson Jack Henry; his four great-grandchildren and his favorite cat Squirly.
A private memorial service will be held for the family on May 27th.

Obituary Preview: Joe Bailey Williams, 90, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 at his home in Kennedale, Texas. He was born on December 22, 1932 in Fort Worth, Texas to David Williams and Mary Williams.
Joe grew up in the Oklaunion area of Texas.  While attending Oklaunion High School he met and fell madly in love with Thelma Willeby.  Joe and Thelma were married on March 20, 1952 and were happily married for 71 years.  Shortly after they were married Joe and Thelma moved to Fort Worth.  Joe was skilled with his hands, working the majority of his career as a bricklayer and house painter while also raising a family.  Joe served for many years as a deacon at the Lake Church of Arlington and his passion was to introduce everyone he met to Jesus Christ.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mary Williams; son, Tommy Williams; granddaughter, Carrie Kwilos; and siblings, Freda Yandow, John Williams, Veda Gilson, and Bern Williams.
Those left to cherish Joe’s memories are his loving wife of seventy one years, Thelma Williams; children, Jeanne Wright and husband Terry, Janet Halvorson and husband David; grandchildren, Henry, Jordan and wife Robin, Cory and wife Dana, Luke and wife Audrey, Janell and husband Ryan, Kristin and husband Chris, Grace and husband Thomas, Esther and husband Jack; great grandchildren, Colin, Keira, Shiloh, Gabrielle, Judah, Taryn, Amelia, Ariah, and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Obituary Preview: Jimmy Don Roberson, 73, passed away on May 11, 2023, at Bristol Park Memory Care in Cleburne, Texas. He was born on December 2, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas to Donald Wesley and Mary Dolores Woods Roberson.
J D grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Poly Tech in Fort Worth in 1968. He played several sports but excelled in football.  Sophomore year he was voted a class favorite finalist.  Junior year he was voted class favorite.  As a senior, J D was voted Mr. Poly for his great smile and outgoing personality. After high school he attended North Texas University with a full 4-year football scholarship.  JD became a successful businessman and was a mentor to many. He was an avid golfer, loved to fish, loved the beach, and loved Texas music, but most of all loved his family and friends.  JD was heavily involved in the Fort Worth Syndicate for many years.
JD married Debbie Chambers in 2000 in Rainbow, Texas. They were happily married for 23 years.
JD was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Dolores Roberson; newborn daughter, Wendy Renee Roberson; step-daughter, Jenny Michelle Newton; and step-son Ryan Chad Newton.
JD is survived by his loving wife Debbie Roberson of Nemo, Texas; son Dustin Wade Roberson (wife Samantha); step-son David Maserang (wife Renee); step-son Bobby Maserang; step-daughter Patty Ryan (husband Tim); father Donald Wesley Roberson; brother Charles Wesley Roberson (wife Cassie); sister Debra Sue Lehman; sister Dianna Estell Prince (husband Mark); grandchildren Lilly, Harper, Dylan, Layne, Landrye, Zac, Blake, Tim, Dustin, Ryland, Brooke and Molly. An abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Memorial Park on Sunday, May 14th. The family will be greeting friends and relatives from 3:00 until 5:00.  The funeral service will be held at Emerald Hills Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, TX 76060 at 2:00 on Monday, May 15th. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.

Joyce attended school in Kennedale and graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1945. She attended Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s degree in Education.
She worked in the Mansfield school district for 35 years. She was a fifth-grade teacher during those years. She retired in 2004. Joyce was involved with the Mansfield Retired Teachers organization and the Kennedale Historical Society.
Joyce was preceded in death by parents, John Carl and Vesta Foust; and sister, Jo Helfenstine. She is survived by daughter, Joy Bardin; son, John Bardin; grandson, Sean Bardin; nieces, Vickie Helfenstine, Barbara Sands, and Linda Hill Steinmetz. She is also survived by many life-long friends, teaching co-workers, and many other special people. Joyce lived a long, blessed life. She will be greatly missed by us all.

Obituary Preview: Mark Allen Topel, age 66, passed away on May 2, 2023. He was born on December 1, 1956 in Seward, Nebraska to Stanley and Mae Hoese Topel. Mark was raised in East Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Lutheran East High School in 1974. After high school, he attended Walsh College where he received his B.B.A. Mark moved to Texas at the age of 25. He found Grace Lutheran Church, he bought a house, and then he accepted a job offer. 2 years later, Mark helped found Whitley Penn with Glen Whitley and Jim Penn. After 40 years of service, and 800 employees, Whitley Penn ranks 37th in the nation for best Accounting and Tax Services. During Mark’s career, he held his CPA, CFP, Series 7, Series 66, and Group 1.
Mark, “Mr. Wonderful”, married “Trish the Dish” Thompson in 1985 at Grace Lutheran Church. They were married for what would have been 38 years this August.
Mark served and supported The American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Camp Thurman, Child Vision Center, First Liberty Institute, Fort Worth Scottish Rite Foundation, Grace Lutheran Church, Hope Farms, Hillsdale College, In Faith Foundation, Leukemia Texas, Loving Liberia through Lutheran Ministries, Mission Alive, New Horizons, Texas Values, United Way, Walsh College, and YMCA. Additionally, he supports missionary families in Slovenia, Spain, and Sierra Leonne.
Mark was a member of  the AICPA, Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Big State Investment Club, Civil War Round Table, Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Fort Worth Chapter of the TXCPA, Leadership Arlington, Professional Networking Connection (PNC), and he was a newly minted honorary DeMolay brother. Mark was just as devoted to his clients and staff as he was to his family and church. When you came under his wing he would consult, council, and provide the best possible service and mentorship to help you either build your business or build your career. Although Mark sat on many boards, he was also in the trenches reaching out and building personal relationships. If you were sitting next to Mark on a plane or at a function he was going to get to know you. He told many stories of the people he met and interesting facts he uncovered. Mark was going to find that 6th degree of separation, until there was a common thread between you. When he was not mentoring, networking, or serving, he loved going to Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars games. He was a huge University of Michigan fan. Go Blue!
Mark is survived by his parents, his siblings and their families, his wife, children, and son-in-law, his mother-in-law, and his wife’s brothers’ families, and a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides.

Obituary Preview: Dominic John DiSanto, 53, passed away on May 1ST 2023, at home in Arlington, Texas, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on September 24, 1969, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Anthony and Rose Marie D’Elia DiSanto.  Dom moved to Arlington, Texas, with family in 1976.  He graduated from Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas, in 1988. After high school, he worked a variety of jobs including managing a bookstore, catering, and retail.  Early in his life, he discovered his passion for reading with a favoritism to authors such as Oscar Wilde and Jane Austin. However, it was his passion for art which truly brought out his amazing creativity and imagination.  His original masterpieces will be treasured.
Dominic was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Rosemarie DiSanto and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Dominic is survived by his sister Rosemarie Savell of Arlington Texas and his sister Vincetta Smith (Steve) of Arlington, Texas; his nephews:  Anthony Smith (Atley), Cody Savell (Shelby), and Thomas Disanto (Joei), and great niece (Harper Grace), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends and his beloved dog, Penny. He loved you all.
A memorial service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home 500 Kennedale Sublet Road, Kennedale, Texas on Saturday, May 13th, 2023.

He retired in 1988, achieving the rank of SPC E-7.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Julia; sisters Nancy Casbeer and Tina Henderson; and brother Dean Casbeer.
Bill is survived by his siblings Anna Casbeer of Fort Worth, Tx, Glen Casveer of Brownwood, Tx, Mary Casbeer of Fort Worth, Tx, and Judy Collins (Gary) of Rhome, Tx; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Obituary Preview: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Michele Harmon, who passed away peacefully on April 29, 2023, in Arlington, Texas at the age of 52.
Michele was born on August 31, 1970, in Charleston, South Carolina, to Gail Inman McCue and Richard Thomas Harmon. She grew up in Arlington, Texas, where she graduated from Arlington High School in 1988. She went on to attend the University of Texas at Arlington, where she graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. In 2013, she received her Master’s degree from Western Governor’s University.
Michele was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She joined the Church on July 29, 1989. She attended the Arlington Single’s Ward from 1988-2000 and later became a member of the Arlington 3rd Ward from 2000-2020. At the time of her passing she was a member of Arlington 6th Ward. She held various callings in the Church, including Primary Teacher, Relief Society Counselor, Sunday School Teacher, and Arlington Stake Reliance Teacher. Her greatest joy was serving as the Relief Society President for many years. Many people were blessed by her love and compassion.
Michele was a dedicated employee of AETNA Healthcare for over 20 years. She also worked for Hilton Hotels for six years. She had a passion for photography and was an active member of the Ft. Worth Photography Club. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, attending plays, spoiling her cats, and helping friends with their children.
Michele will be missed by her mother - Gail Inman McCue, her father - Richard Thomas Harmon, her brother - Robert Christopher McCue, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Scott Veronee. Michele's life was characterized by her dedication to her faith, her career, and her hobbies. She will always be remembered for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and her willingness to help others.

Obituary Preview: Thomas Oden Potts, 69, passed away on April 21, 2023. He was born on November 24, 2023, in Paris, Texas.
Tommy grew up in Arlington and went to Sam Houston High School.   He retired from General Motors, a member of the UAW, did subcontract work for Yanfeng and did volunteer work for the Dalworthington Gardens Police Department.  He loved music, played guitar for years with a group of his friends.  In his earlier years, he was an avid CB Operator with the handle “Summer Breeze” and loved photography as well.  He was blessed with so many talents, when he decided to do something, he put his all into it to make it perfect.
Tommy never had children of his own, he said he could love and spend time with his nieces, nephews and step-sons giving them all his love.  For those that had Tommy in their lives knew how loving, devoted, kind, generous, and funny he could be.  It is difficult in a few words to describe such a wonderful guy!  Tommy left many cherished memories and stories for all of us to remember for a lifetime.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Paul Potts, nephew Jerry Potts Jr, father and mother-in-law; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jackson and sister-in-law Kathy Wilson.
He is survived by his wife Kadena Potts, sister and brother-in-law Celia and Kenneth Huff, brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Donna Potts, stepsons; Jason, Jeremy and David Rudd, brother-in-law Charles “Chuck” Jackson, four nieces; Lucretia Potts, Patricia Payne, Anita O’Neal, and Kari Wilson; two nephews; Mark Huff and Eric Wilson, four grandsons and one great granddaughter, several cousins and numerous friends.

Stevie Contreras Rothman - June 09, 1959 - April 19, 2023

Obituary Preview: Stevie Contreras Rothman, 63, entered eternal life on April 19th, 2023, at Mansfield Methodist Center in Mansfield, Texas. He was born on June 9th,1959 in Pecos, Texas and had been a longtime resident of Arlington, Texas.
Stevie was an Airforce brat that grew up in many different U.S. States and Foreign Countries.  He graduated from Anchorage High School in Anchorage, Alaska in 1978.  After high school he joined the Army in 1978 and served for four years.  He was honorably discharged in 1984.
He began working in Law Enforcement for the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a Corrections Officer and Police Officer of Protective Services where he worked for 21 years. During this time, he proudly served on the S.O.R.T team.  He retired in 2009 after 21 years. After retirement he was employed for two years as a donation’s driver for SafeHaven, a Women’s Shelter for Domestic Violence, and one year as a Lyft driver.
Stevie married Sylvia Guerrero in 1983 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. They were happily married for 39 years. Stevie was preceded in death by his biological father Juan Contreras, paternal grandmother Elisa Contreras, maternal grandfather Filomeno Herrera, and maternal grandmother Petra Herrera.
Stevie is survived by his wife Sylvia and their only child, (daughter) Melissa Rothman both of Arlington, TX; his parents Jose Rothman and Erlinda Rothman from San Antonio, TX; brother Joseph (Suzanne) Rothman of Houston, TX brother-in-law, Jose (Yolanda) Guerrero of Las Cruces, NM his sister-in-law Georgina (Ray) Melendez of Vado, NM, his Fur Grand pups Honey, Cookie and Pepper; and uncles, aunts, and many nieces and nephews and other loving relatives. A Viewing will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, Tx, beginning at 6:00pm followed by recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00pm on Friday, April 28, 2023.  The Funeral Mass will take place Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 10:00am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 1927 SW Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington, Texas.  Presentation of flags and military honors will follow.  Cremation services have been entrusted to Emerald Hills Funeral Home following services. Serving as Paul bearers will be Joseph, Giovanni, Julien and Jake (Rothman), Douglas Thamez, and Albert Guiterrez

Obituary Preview: On Saturday, April 15, Elizabeth (Evie) Walker entered her eternal home in the Kingdom of Heaven. Evie was born on September 24, 1963, in Fort Worth, TX to Pete and Janis Pulido. She left this earth surrounded by her close loved ones after a 2-year battle with cancer.
Evie married the love of her life, whom she lovingly referred to as “her hero”, on May 31, 1997. During her 59 years of life, she positively impacted many family members, friends, and coworkers. Evie lived a life of being the hands and feet of Jesus. She was heavily active in church, attended weekly Bible studies, and worked in the church nursery. She exemplified unconditional love, joy, and resilience. Evie never met a stranger and when she loved, she loved with her whole heart. She loved God and people, thus fulfilling Jesus’ final commandment. She recently went to college to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a counselor for those struggling with drug & alcohol addiction. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

He then married Melba Jo Baker in 1963 in Texarkana, Texas.  They were married until her passing on 09/02/2017. They had four children, Sherrin, Joe Edward, Tina, and Neil.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Elzie Simmons; mother, Rosa Simmons; son, Shane Simmons; daughter, Tersa Herbert; sister, Dollie Simmons.

He graduated from Central High School. Anthony married his wife Catarina Juarez in 2017. Anthony spent most of his life in the career he was so passionate about, as a car salesman, many of those years was at Buz Post Motors in Arlington, Texas.
Anthony was a family man. He loved his parents as well as his brother and sister; they were all very close. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren.
Anthony was a kind soul and never met a stranger. He always loved meeting new people and making them feel like they had know him for years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved taking care of his horse. Anthony was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Texas Longhorns, and Tiger Woods.
He is preceded in death by father, Abel Hernandez Martinez Sr; sister, Gloria Martinez; and son, Abel Anthony TJ Martinez.

He retired in 2006 after 34 years. He was a founding member of Lone Star Region Vintage Chevrolet Club of America and was a past director.
Bill married Dianne in 1969 in Springtown, TX. They were happily married for 53 years. He enjoyed working on his antique Chevrolet cars and cheering on TCU in football.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Ruby Irene, and sister Sherry Seaman.
Bill is survived by his spouse, Dianne of North Richland Hills, TX; his son, Troy Fulmer of Pleasanton, TX; daughter, Tracy and son- in-law Clint Madewell of Bedford, TX; his sister, Ruby and brother-in-law Tony Diaz of North Richland Hills, TX; his grandchildren, Troy Fulmer, II, Ryan Fulmer and Claire Madewell; and his nieces and nephews and other relatives.
A Graveside service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060 at 3pm, Monday, March 27, 2023. A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home at 2pm, Monday, March 27th.

She was preceded in death by Buddy, her beloved husband of 62 years; parents, Harrison and Mary-Violet Rose; siblings, Vera, Eugene, Philip, David, Helen, Faye, Delores, Hannah, and Esther. Those left to cherish Dottie's memories are her brother and sister, Sam and Betty; three daughters, Connie (Daniel) Cook, Bedford, TX, Cindy (Kevin) Markley, Wakarusa, KS, and Karen (Ron) Gilbreath, Crowley, TX; six grandchildren, Leah (David) Obenour, Jared Cook, Brent (Kelly) Markley, Corey Markley, Rachel Dieringer, and Justin (Ashley) Gilbreath; and twelve great-grandchildren.

He ended his career in accounting and retired from The City of Tyler in 1993.
Edward married Brenda Schaefer in 1963 in Kennedale, Texas. They were happily married for 60 years. He was a member of Shiloh Road Church of Christ in Tyler, Texas.  His hobbies and interests included fishing, hunting and yard work.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Edward is survived by his spouse, Brenda of Bedford, Texas; daughters, Tami (Angus) Pool of Longview, Texas and Teri Bradshaw of Bedford, Texas; granddaughters, Brittany (Hunter) Sipes and Brooke Pool; great-granddaughter, Willow Sipes.
