Gary was born June 24, 1956, in Charleston to the late James Hayden Craft, Jr. and Elsie Mae Kinser Craft.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Craft and a nephew, Casey Craft. Gary’s favorite scripture was John 3:16
He loved riding horses and motorcycles, fishing and swimming, camping out and bonfires, Fireworks, with report, loved different kinds of music and loved cars, trucks, and drag racing. Norma was born January12, 1928, to the late John and Martha Willey.
She was a Stonewall Jackson High School graduate and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She retired from CAMC. Norma was a charter member of Elk River Church of the Nazarene. Left to cherish her memory are her children, sons, Gene (Bev) Pierson of Charleston, WV, Tom (Kathy) Pierson of Charlottesville, VA, daughter, Janet (Donnie) Hughey of Charleston, WV, seven grandchildren, Kevin Hughey, Bart (Rachel) Hughey, Jason (Amber) Pierson and Jeff (Kara) Pierson all of Charleston, WV, Josh, Zach and Nathaniel Pierson of Charlottesville, VA, and five great-grandchildren,  Logan Pierson, Sylvia Pierson, Joseph, Isaac and Sadie Hughey,

John 3:16, Joyce knew Jesus and accepted Jesus and goes to join her Lord and Savior. Joyce gave charity and love to all she knew, this beloved trait was most known by her friends, family and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary W. Lewis of Charleston, and an infant daughter, son, Gary W. Lewis, II,  father, Lewis Edward Affolter, mother, Edna Lee of Charleston, brothers, Joseph Affolter, Paul Affolter, David Lee Affolter, and sisters, Deloris Andi Mauro, Pauline Carney, and Clara Faye Barton.
Joyce was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, Class of 1961 and attended the University of Charleston.  She lived and served the Charleston community, her entire life in healthcare at Charleston Memorial Hospital for twenty years and at St. Francis Hospital for twenty years, ending her career as the Director of Medical Records and DRG Coordinator.
Joyce is survived by daughter, Robin A. Lewis of Charleston, granddaughter, Jessica Lynette Lewis of Charleston, grandson, Gary W. Lewis, III (Kelsey) of Charleston, granddaughters, Sophie Grace Lewis and Madelyn Rose Lewis of Charleston, brothers, George Affolter of Sarasota, FL, Robert (Vicki) Affolter of Sun City, FL, sisters, Barbara Moss of Panama City Beach, FL, Phyllis J. Henderson, Rosalie Kyle, and Lillian Cookie Ison all of Sarasota, FL.
Friends may leave condolences at Joyce’s home or elkfuneralhome.com. A Life Celebration will be in Sarasota, FL in June of 2022.

David died at home on March 4th after a valiant battle with cancer. He was 71. David was born on Long Island, N.Y.. He attended SUNY Oneonta and Union College. He served in the US NAVY during the Vietnam Era as a code analyst. After a career in business, he settled in Charleston, WV. Until he became ill ,he worked at Wellingtons’ Café as an assistant manager.  Known for his creative woodworking skills, his sense of humor, sharp wit, love of games , his compassion, he was always a friend and willing to lend a helping hand.
David loved Halloween, he would start preparing in early spring with an original theme, engaging family and friends. Folks would come from all around to see his spooky creations. He will be missed. David is survived by his 4 children, Evan (Veronica), David, Danielle Wescott, and Samantha Hansen, eight
cherished grandchildren, sisters Elizabeth MacGilvray (Tom), Jean Lowe (Ricky), Irene Mazzocchi (Timothy Dillon) and devoted nieces and nephews. The Mazzocchi family wishes to thank all the friends and neighbors who have been so kind during David’s
last months.

A graveside service with military honors was conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the Donel Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, WV.

James Lee “Jim” Ramsey - May 27, 1927 - January 14, 2022

Obituary Preview: James Lee “Jim” Ramsey was born on May 27, 1927, in Charleston, WV.  He left this world to be with The Lord on January 14, 2022 at the age of 94.
He graduated from South Charleston High School.  He and his twin brother, Joe were drafted into the military; Jim into the Navy and Joe into the Army.  Their Dad wrote a letter to President Truman, requesting that, since they were twins, would it be possible to station them together?  The request was granted and Joe was transferred from the U.S. Army, to the U.S. Navy.  They were then stationed together in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, post war.
After his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, Jim attended Morris Harvey College, studying Electrical Theory.  Jim becamea Master Electrician, first retiring from Union Carbide in South Charleston, WV, then retiring from the Bendix Corporation at Kennedy Space Center, in Florida.  From there, he returned to Union Carbide, at their Nuclear Power plant in Oakridge, TN.  He retired again at the age of 57.
He and his wife, Lois, were married in 1967.  Once Jim finally retired for good, they decided to move to Shallotte, NC, where they lived for over 30 years.  Many, many friendships developed there, through their Church and other organizations they were involved with.  Shallotte became his “second” home town.  He would talk about returning to Charleston, WV, but could never leave Shallotte, NC because they loved the people there too.
Wherever Jim and Lois were, his guitar wasn’t very far away.  Music was a huge part of his life.  He was a member of The Blue Ridge Gospel Boys, a very popular gospel quartet in the Kanawha Valley.  They were frequent guests on radio station WTIP, local churches, and also had a weekly program on WOAY TV.
Jim leaves behind, Lois, his wife of 55 years (Feb 4), his son Bob Ramsey and daughter Kathy Ramsey.  Also, missing him will be grandsons Rick (Morgan) Ramsey and Trey Ramsey, his granddaughter Kim Bowyer and her husband, Kris, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.  There are also a number of nieces and nephews that he remained close with until his passing.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Dewey Ramsey, his Mother, Reba Casebolt Ramsey, his daughter, Debra Jean Ramsey Salon, his twin brother Joseph, and other brothers Thomas and Eugene, his sisters, Elizabeth and Anna Marie.
Services will be held at the Open Door Church, 2630 Kanawha Blvd E, Charleston, WV on Friday, January 21, 2022.  Visitation will be a 10 a.m. and the Service will be at 11 a.m.

Jane loved to fish, bowl, crafting and playing cards and was a doting grandmother.  Jane is survived by her loving family, daughters, Veronica Johnson, Cheryl Hudson, Jean (Kelly) Turley, son, Charles V. “C.J” Johnson, II (Sarah Garretson), sister, Carolyn “Carol” (Gary) Fisher, brother, Homer “Jack”Jackson Hudnall. 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren.

Thomas was a dedicated mechanic for many years. He loved hunting and fishing, and made many great memories doing so with his oldest son Thomas,  He loved watching westerns and doing family tree/history projects which he spent years doing with his late aunt Faye Hunter. He had a love for motorcycles which he shared with his second born son Michale. He was a very proud husband, father, grandfather and great grand father.  He loved his three grandsons more than anything and was thrilled the day his youngest daughter gave him a grand daughter to love.
Survived by his loving wife of 42 years Tammy L. Davis, children: Thomas Davis, Amanda Casto ( Timothy Casto) Michale Davis (Ashley Stilwell) Alissa Davis (Sean Hogue) grandchildren Dylan Casto (Emily Johnston), Owen Casto, Brennon Casto, Ariona Hogue, Aiden Harmon and one great grandson Ryder Casto, also survived by his brother James L. Davis, proceeded in death by a sister Angela K. Davis, and many aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at Noon, Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Elk Funeral Home with Pastor Franklin Batten officiating. Burial will follow in Sissonville Memorial Gardens.

She was a graduate of Charleston High School, held a bachelor’s degree from Morris Harvey College and a master’s from Marshall College of Graduate Studies.
Carolyn was a member of the Elk River Church of the Nazarene and the Charleston Rainbow Girls and Eastern Star.
Carolyn was a teacher in Kanawha County Schools for 20 years, and an employee of Casto’s Flowers and Greenhouse (Cross Lanes) for 35 years.
She is survived by her loving family, son, Dan Reed, daughter, Amy (Charles “Bud”) Bowman, grandchildren,Bryan, Beth, Emily, Anna, Blake and Iva, great-grandchildren, Claire, Xander, and Bella, brother, Ron Casto.
Service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 4, at the Elk River Church of the Nazarene, 143 Dutch Rd., Charleston, WV  25302, with Randy Ledsome officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Family will receive friends from noon until service time at the church on Saturday.
