A resident of Hi-Nella for many years. Beloved wife of the late Peter A. McArdle, Sr. Loving mother of Colleen Reese (Bill), Michael (Karen), and the late Peter A. Jr. (Susan). Cherished grandmother of Ryan (Theresa), Bill (Amanda), Dan (Kelsey), Jonathan, and the late Jimmy Reese, Krista Thomas (Kevin), and Nicole McArdle. Favorite GG of Peter and Kenny McArdle; Caroline and James Reese, as well as Baby Reese. Most loving sister of Violet Anderson.
Marie loved her time growing up in South Philadelphia and Camden New Jersey. She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, class of 1951. She will be remembered for the love, affection, time, and attention she showered upon her family, her Sunday gravy and meatballs, and her willingness to always make room for one more at the table.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend her visitation on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 6-8pm, followed by a second visitation on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 9-10am located at Eugene J. Obituary Preview: Barbara Ann Santoro, born to the late Bernard and Mary E. Hens on April 15, 1938, passed away on November 19, 2022 at the age of 84.
Barbara was predeceased in death by her six siblings, her daughter, Barbara Opperman (Santoro) and son Louis J. Santoro.
Beloved wife of 65 years to Louis Santoro, Barbara was the loving mother of Barbara Opperman (Ron), Marylou Leija (Eddie), Michael Santoro, Louis J Santoro (Renee) and Steven Santoro (Jade). She was the devoted grandmother of Matthew, Rachel, Nicolette (George), Kristen (Johnathan), Jessilyn (Juan), Michael (Kristie), Vincent, Christopher (Kelsey), Delaney (Matt), Kylene and Brielle.
She was also blessed with great grandchildren, Kassandra, Yael, Hadassah, Zaraiah, Zemira, and Christopher Jr.
Earlier in Barb’s life, she was employed as a medical assistant with Berlin Medical Associates for over 20 years. Barbara was also actively involved as a Eucharistic minister at St Lukes RC church in Stratford.
Some of the things Barb enjoyed most were her family, bowling, playing the organ, frequent trips to the casinos and traveling domestically and abroad. She looked forward to her yearly visit to her daughter in San Antonio every Thanksgiving. She had such love for her family and life.
Barbara touched the lives of many by her example as a devoted wife, mother, grammy and great grammy. Her tenacious life was shared by her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects Saturday, December 3, 2022, 8:30am to 10:30am at Zale Funeral Home, 712 White Horse Pike, Stratford NJ. Services will be held at 11am at Our Lady Guadalupe Parish, St. Luke Church located at 55 Warwick Rd, Stratford NJ. She will then proceed to her final resting place at Gates of Heaven in Berlin, NJ.

Obituary Preview: We are horribly saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Kristina Renee Auriemma of Pemberton, NJ at the age of 41.
Kristina was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Auriemma (2018). She is survived by her daughter, Amaya Renee Cowen; by her father Robert Auriemma (wife Andrea); Siblings, Matthew, Tracie, and Brian Auriemma. Kristina is also remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives/friends. Kristina grew up in Pemberton Borough as the eldest of 4. Throughout school Kristina was always towards the top of her class and was heavily involved in after school activities and clubs such as cheerleading and FBLA. She attended Rutgers and shortly after became a mother. Amaya was the love of Kristina’s life. Kristina always said one child was all she needed because, “I got it right the first time, she’s perfect.”
While her family is shocked by her death, they are thankful for her life. As her last selfless act on earth, Kristina was an organ donor. This decision of hers has touched countless others, as the family members, friends, and communities of those who received her donated organs will be forever impacted by their improved quality of life, made possible through these precious gifts. At this time, no public services are planned. Kristina will be loved and missed forever… She’s now in God's loving arms…

James was happiest in nature or on the sea. He had a mystical way with animals-especially wild ones-which often approached and befriended him.

Obituary Preview: Reverend Joseph P. Capella, 61, of Hammonton, NJ passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Philadelphia he was raised in Hammonton. He was a graduate of St. Joesph's University in Philadelphia and Washington Theological Union in Washington, DC. Father Capella was ordained as a Pallottine priest in St. Joseph's Parish in Hammonton on June 2, 1990 by Most Reverend James McHugh. He served at Our Lady of Pompeii Parish in Brooklyn, NY from 1990 - 1996. Father Capella served as a teacher, chaplain and the rector of Bishop Eustace Preparatory School in Pennsauken from 1996 - 2003. In 2006 Father Capella was incardinated into the Camden Diocese and served at Saint Vincent de Paul Parish in Mays Landing. He served as pastor of Saint Luke Parish in Stratford from 2006- 2009. From 2009 - 2016 he was pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Lindenwold. In 2016 Fr. Capella was assigned to Camden Catholic High School as Director of Catholic Identity. In 2018 he was appointed as Rector at CCHS by Bishop Dennis Sullivan. He also served as a member of the bishop's College of Consulters and on the Presbyteral Council. Father Capella was a member and Chaplain of The Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society in Hammonton. He formerly served as chaplain for the State of New Jersey Son's of Italy also served as National Chaplain.
Father Joe was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Nina Capella and his niece Heather. He is survived by his brothers, Anthony Capella, Jr. (Lisa), Paul Capella (Colleen), his sister, Annlouise Capella (Frank Kralick) six nieces, 1 nephew, and 15 great nieces and great nephews.
A Mass for the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be celebrated, Friday, June 24, 2022, 7:00 PM in Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Shrine St. Lawrence Church, 135 N. White Horse Pike, Lindenwold, NJ where a viewing will be held from 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, June 25, 2022, 2:00 PM in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, 226 French St., Hammonton, where a viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until 1:30 PM. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton.

Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, George E. DellaVecchia in 2006. She is survived by her loving sons, George (Dawn) DellaVecchia and Paul (Laura) DellaVecchia; her grandchildren, Nicole (Brian), Stephanie (Dan), Kristen (Alvis), Robin (Jake), and Jennifer (Dominick); her great-grandchildren, Emma, Jack, Travis, Sienna, Logan, Ethan, Jacob, and Olivia; her sister, Joanne MacMinn (Joe); and her nieces and nephews, Kathleen (Andy), Joseph, John, Brian, and Debbie.
Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family. Helen will be interred with her late husband, at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery. Obituary Preview: It is with great sadness the family of June G. Hughes wishes to announce she has passed away on June 2, 2022. June was a very intelligent, gentle, generous and kind spirit. She loved nature, seeing and listening to the birds, a tree changing from green to gold in the fall, a new small flower in the garden in the spring. She appreciated the little things often missed in our daily lives. June had a love for reading, she was rarely without a good book close at hand. June leaves behind many, many friends, two loving daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She especially enjoyed spending time with friends at shows and concerts including Ellen Carrigan, Jeane B. Hughes and Maryann Signorelli.
June has joined her lord Jesus in heaven, being a faithful Roman Catholic her whole life. June got an early introduction to her faith studying at Hallahan Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia. She was a faithful member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church for over 40 years, singing in the Choir and attending services regularly. June passed on her love for reading by reading to the children attending St. Lawrence Catholic School.
June was married to Joseph E. Hughes (USN Veteran) for 46 years. They enjoyed being involved in their church and community, June would help with Joe's successful campaigns for local offices. June and Joe and their children traveled and enjoyed visiting new cities and areas of North America and Ireland.
June had a long and successful career working in the Federal Government for the Social Security Administration. June was a trailblazer in her role at Social Security, obtaining the position of Supervisor at a time female supervisors were unusual. June was able to use her role as supervisor and Union Representative at Social Security to mentor women coming up in the ranks, helping to lay the groundwork for a more inclusive and understanding workplace.
She was awarded numerous commendations and awards during her career and for her volunteer service in several organizations.
June lived independently for many years, June recently had enjoyed the opportunity to live with both daughters for some time. June really enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was well cared for and deeply loved.
June's loving husband Joe, and son Joe Jr. preceded her to heaven. Her daughter's Peggy, Kathy, Kathy's (Paul), Grandchildren Austin, Joe and Caroline (Brandon) and great-grandchildren Carson and Faith thank you for your prayers in this difficult time. He had a career as a Social Worker at the Camden County Board of Social Services. He had a sensitive and generous nature and empathy for the struggles faced by many of his clients.
His love of history continued throughout his life as evidenced by his reading, sharing of insights and his collection of books. Henry also possessed an incredibly encyclopedic knowledge of sports of all kinds; his commentary was always a pleasure to hear. He was a skilled chef and gardener. He was loyal and generous to his friends and their families and was always thoughtful and considerate. A great storyteller, he loved to laugh and reminisce. He will be missed by all who enjoyed and loved him.

Stan was born in Bayonne, NJ and grew up in Gloucester City. He was an only child and is predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Anne Kent, and is survived by his wife, Lee Ann, and his children Kristin (Daniel) and Scott (Samantha) along with his grandchildren Jason, Ava and Nathaniel.
Stan and Lee married in 1979 and moved to Laurel Springs in 1980 where they raised their family. He worked as a mechanical engineer until his early 50s. During his career, he received several patents for his designs. When his employer closed, Stan decided to pursue a career as a crafter, designing stained glass windows, fused glass creations and copper artwork along with photography and jewelry design. This second career lasted into his 60s until he retired.
Stan was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather and had a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family at the lake, pool or ocean and attending their sporting events. He also enjoyed cooking and playing video games, which helped him pass the time as his health declined. Stan also was a great doggy dad to Buffy and Lucy, who is still walking around the house looking for him.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation followed by a memorial service on Saturday, June 11th beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Zales Funeral Home in Stratford, NJ.
