Rob was united in marriage to Tricia DeJongh on August 20, 1993, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They were blessed with 7 children: Hope, Olivia, Ella, Ana, Leah, Noah, and Willa. Rob was not only their dad but their biggest fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, whether it be attending their events, working alongside them while landscaping, coaching them in the gym, or spending time at Green Lake. Rob was quick-witted, could talk to anyone, and spent his time loving and leading his family well. Not only was he an amazing dad, Rob was a devoted husband who loved Tricia and put her and his family's needs constantly before his own. Christian music and attending Christian music festivals were some of his favorites, along with enjoying food with friends and colleagues and sharing conversations with his kids after sporting events over chips and salsa. He inspired a love for Christian music in his kids, a hearty work ethic, and a passion for sports. Most importantly though, he pointed them to Jesus, whom he claimed as his personal Savior and Lord.
Rob was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2008 and spent the next 13 years amazing those around him with his tenacity, strength, and love for Jesus and his family. Rob went to be with Jesus on November 14, 2021, at the age of 49 years.

Craig Lawrence Fey - November 14, 1971 - September 22, 2021

Departed: 09/22/2021 (Edgerton)
Obituary Preview: CRAIG LAWRENCE FEY was born on November 14, 1971 in his parents' bedroom at their family home in Edgerton, Minnesota where he was lovingly raised along with one attentive younger sister and two mischievous brothers. Craig was a lifelong and confessing member of First CRC, serving as deacon and sang with the praise team. He developed his relationship with Jesus as a Cadet while also attending Edgerton Christian Elementary.  He graduated from Edgerton Public High School in 1990, and was an active leader in RCYF throughout his high school years.  During his childhood, Craig found his first love, the outdoors, where he pursued hunting and fishing, becoming an expert at everything from walleyes to waterfowl and even took out a few rabbits through the dining room window.  At the age of 16, Craig fell in love a second time when he purchased his Dodge Challenger and spent many hours restoring (and racing) it alongside his teacher and lifelong mentor, his Dad.  Craig began his first and only career joining his Mom and Dad at "the shop".  Following his high school graduation, he attended Worthington Community College before transferring to be with his best friend Owen at St. Cloud State University where he majored in... well nobody really knows what Craig majored in, but he had fun and got good grades none the less, graduating in 1994.  Craig returned to Edgerton and on September 2, 1995, he was united in marriage to his next and greatest love, Shelley Brands, at First CRC, where they also raised their family.  He went on to purchase Roger’s Auto Sales from his parents along with his brother and business partner, Trevor, eventually building their new dream showroom and business headquarters.  Craig was a gifted mechanic and automotive genius, able to diagnose and fix anything by simply taking it apart and figuring it out.  Craig loved to serve others and spent much of his adult life as an EMT, storm chaser, Dutch Festival committee member, and various volunteer positions at the school and church.  He had a passion for music and entertainment and an uncanny ability to find live music anywhere.  He was often found in his glory, dressed up as his favorite characters making others laugh and smile, or cruising the highway on his Harley Davidson with the music turned way up.  Craig was always "Happy, Happy, Happy".  His love for the outdoors landed him many trophy-worthy fish and wildlife, however he was never prouder than when one of his sons made the big catch.  His boys can be seen hoisting their prize in photos as Craig admired his greatest and proudest achievements, his sons Ashton, Derek and Kade.  He looked for every opportunity to spend time with his family, often calling them to go camping, fishing, hunting, or to ride dirt bikes, and he spent many hours at their sporting events or taking his whole crew to nearby lakes to simply be together.  Craig entered heaven and the loving arms of his Savior on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the age of 49 years, 10 months, and 9 days.  Craig will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shelley; children Ashton (Kacey), Derek (Brooke), and Kade; parents Roger and Gloria; siblings Bambi (Ross) DeBoer, Travis, and Trevor (Abbie); Ron and Sandy Brands, Doug (Lisa) Brands, Juanita (Steve) Ruiter, Ronna (Travis) Van Santen, Jason (Brianna) Brands, Ross (Jen) Brands, Justin (Emily) Brands, many nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends because Craig never met anyone who didn't grow to love him.

Larry Schoolmeester - December 03, 1944 - July 11, 2021

Departed: 07/11/2021 (Edgerton)
Obituary Preview: Larry Arlin Schoolmeester passed away at age 76 on July 11, 2021. He will be remembered as husband, father, grandfather, always up for one-on-one basketball, and Papa Pancake.
Larry was born on December 3, 1944, to Harry and Mildred Schoolmeester in Pipestone, Minnesota. He was the youngest of three children, with one brother and one sister. The family was active in the First Reformed Church and while his mother played organ for services, the rest of the family sang in the choir. He attended elementary, junior, and high school in Edgerton, and was part of the 1960 Flying Dutchman State Basketball Championship team. The small-town team beating the larger schools for the single-class title was a Midwestern basketball fairy tale and the team had reunions throughout the years, including at their induction into the Minnesota High School Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018.
After high school, Larry enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served from 1965 to 1968, at which time he was honorably discharged to return home and help his father on the family farm. He enjoyed various league sports, including bowling and softball. In 1972, one of his bowling buddies set him up on a blind date with the new Home Economics teacher at the high school, Marilyn Joann Muller. After a first date in January, they were engaged by Easter, and married on August 5, 1972. They made a home together in Edgerton and raised three children: Timothy, Julie, and Thomas. Larry worked for the Edgerton Farmers’ Elevator for 32 years.
In addition to playing sports, Larry enjoyed watching all sports. He made a point to sit his children down and let them know that being a Minnesota sports fan usually meant a season ending in heartbreak, with the ’87 and ’91 Twins being the exception. In his later years, he loved to point out to his daughter that “the Lynx are the only ones who consistently win.” An outdoorsman, he also enjoyed fishing and hunting, and spent a lot of time outdoors with his children and grandchildren. He loved being a grandparent and never missed a game, recital, or school event. He made sure his grandchildren appreciated ice cream and never made them eat peas.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mildred; brother, Bruce; and brothers-in-law Duane Landhuis and Roger Muller. He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Marilyn; son, Tim and his wife, Jenny, of Dell Rapids, South Dakota; daughter, Julie and her partner, Stephen Bright, of Las Vegas, Nevada; and son, Tom and his wife, Jessica, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; grandchildren Luke, Sarah, and Autumn, of Dell Rapids; grandchildren Will and Mila of Sioux Falls; sister, Beverlyn Landhuis, of Stanton, Iowa; sisters-in-law Barb Schoolmeester, Karen Muller, Carol Muller, and Debra Muller; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The Vietnam War was the catalyst for Doug enlisting in the Air Force in 1965, where he served until 1971, being stationed in Texas, Virginia and two years in Okinawa.  Upon being honorably discharged, Doug found employment in Mitchell, South Dakota, where he met the love of his life, Jeanie Heidinger.  Douglas and Jeanie were married in Mitchell, SD, on June 4, 1971, and made their home in Worthington, MN.   Doug earned college degrees from Worthington Community College and Mankato State College.   While in Mankato, Douglas was employed as a cross-country charter bus driver.  They later purchased a small farm north of Hutchinson, MN and Doug made his living owning and operating semi-trucks and a charter bus.  From Hutchinson, Doug and his family relocated to the big city of Florence, MN, where he served the community as Mayor for several consecutive terms.  Doug was employed by Tyler Bus Service and Schak Trucking.
In retirement Doug and Jeanie moved to Edgerton to be near their children and grandchildren.  Doug began a tree trimming business during retirement and took up being a fixture at all sporting events his grandchildren were involved in.  He was often vocal and would engage in personal conversations with umpires and referees.
Doug enjoyed everything his grandchildren were involved with.  Doug had a love for music and played the guitar by ear and found records to buy at every thrift store he entered.  He and his siblings would chase roosters every fall and would all suffer from charley horses during the evening, and would have to consume hamburgers due to their shooting skills. Doug was also an amateur electrician and semi-pro carpenter.  He was a collector of… Everything!  His faith was a significant part of his life, Doug served his church as an elder and part of the choir.
Doug is lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Jean Ann of Edgerton; two children, Dave (Angie) of Dell Rapids, South Dakota, Karie (Terry) Nelson, Edgerton; seven grandchildren, Breanna (Luke) Drooger, Luverne, MN;  Abigail Keith, Brookings, SD; Jenny (Mason Sluis) Nelson, Luverne; Madie (Brennen Hughes) Nelson, Paullina, IA; Emma Keith, Dell Rapids, SD; Kinsie Nelson, Edgerton; Beau Keith, Dell Rapids, SD; four sibilngs, Sheldon (Donna) Naperville, IL; Steven (Blanche) Plymouth, MN; Carolyn Baker (David) Eagle Lake, MN; Aunt Patricia Keith Talen (Jim) Rochester, MN.    Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kathleen Keith.
