Michael Ray Cook, 55, of Lexington, KY, formerly of Olive Hill, entered into rest Sunday night, April 17, 2022, at his residence.  He was born May 18, 1966, in Chicago, IL, to Eunice Marie Crank Cook and the late Berthel Lee Cook. He enjoyed working on old cars and fishing.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Lee Cook.
In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by one son, Michael Hall; three sisters, Debra Caudill, Karen Sue Miller, and Brenda Kay James; and one brother, Barry Alan Cook. In addition to these, he leaves behind several nieces, nephews, as well as other family and friends who will greatly miss him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. Daniel Long officiating.

Johnny Allen Caudill, 65, of Grayson, KY, entered into rest Friday night, April 15, 2022, at his residence.  He was born January 23, 1957, in Columbus, OH, to the late Fred and Mary Wise Caudill.
John was of the Christian faith, and was saved and baptized at the First Christian Church in Olive Hill. He traveled the country as a pilot/escort driver in the transportation industry.  After retirement he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Caudill.
John is survived by his wife of thirty years, Phyllis Caudill; three daughters, Johnna Caudill, Deanna Caudill, and Samantha Fuller; two sons, Christopher Caudill, and Ralph Caudill; five step-daughters, Dawn Gessner Adams, Valerie Gessner Bitner, Tracy Gessner Prichard, Stacy Gessner Burke; and Kaila Merick; two sisters, Tammy Myers, and Linda Boyer; one brother, Martin Cramblet; nineteen grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to these, John leaves behind his best friends, Donnie and Holly Lykins; and the one person who kept him in line, his granddaughter, Miley Henderson.
In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no public services.

Kathy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren; and playing games on her phone or tablet.  She was a wonderful and caring person who would do anything for anyone.  Her door was always open, and she never turned away family or friends in need.
Kathy is survived by one daughter, April Swanigan; two sons, David Swanigan Jr., and Eric Swanigan; three sisters; three brothers; and ten grandchildren. In addition to these, she also leaves behind her lifetime companion and partner, David Swanigan.
The family will gather at her mother’s graveside, Bethel Cemetery, Rt. 2, Olive Hill for a memorial service at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, April 16, 2022. Bro. Jason Lewis will be officiating.

Debby humbly accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in March of this year. She retired from Sealmaster in 2016, and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Wally Evans.
Debby is survived by two sisters, Karen Stead of Winchester, KY and Lisa (Rob) Whitt of Florida; one brother, Rob (Amelia) Evans of Grayson, KY; one niece; and six nephews.  She also leaves behind her dearest friend and caregiver, Pamela Garvin.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. Darryl Garvin officiating.

Ray “Yogi” Bear, 81, of Barker Flats, Carter County, Kentucky changed worlds and answered the call from his friend Jesus, from his residence on Friday, April 1, 2022. He was born October 24, 1940, at home, the son of James Hardin and Emily Ethel Boggs Bear, and raised on the Dudley farm near the Carter/Elliott County line.
Ray became a born-again Christian at the evening service on December 4, 1994.  He was baptized on January 1, 1995, at Griffey Crossing; starting a new year and new life with Jesus.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, James Hardin and Emily Ethel Boggs Bear of Grahn, Kentucky; and three sisters, Lucille Bear of Dudley, Kentucky, Anne Catherine Holbrook of Elliott County, Kentucky, and Margie Holbrook of Parker Trail, Kentucky.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Diana A. Barker Bear; five siblings, Floyd Bear of Dudley, Kentucky, Nemo Bear, Ervin Bear, Esther Bear, and Pauline Rice, all of Grahn, Kentucky; one daughter, Tammy (Steven) Cornett of Wilder, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Shannon Rae (fiancé, David DeLella) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bethany (Michael) Tucker of Sharonville, Ohio, and Timothy Cornett (Barbara Hudson) of Milford, Ohio; two step great-grandchildren, Caiden and Luke Bradbury; three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Isaiah, and Uriel Cornett; one brother-in-law, Jerry F. (Carolyn) Barker and nephew, Charles F. Barker, all of Barker Flats, Kentucky; and one niece, Jennifer (Darius) Sprague, and two grandnieces, Hope and Darcy Sprague, all of Salyersville, Kentucky. In addition to these, Ray leaves behind several more nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much.
Ray held several jobs in his lifetime. He worked in a machine shop in Michigan, as a telephone lineman in Kentucky, at the rail welding plant in Coalton, and with his father at the Grahn Fire brick plant for a short time. He worked as a butcher for several grocery stores for many years.  He did meat cutting for Barker Bear Custom Meats, tobacco farming, worked with cattle and horses, and for Carter Caves State Park.  His last job was at Superior Foods, with Bill Perry, as a meatcutter.
Ray has always loved being home on the farm. Even as a young boy attending Pine Springs and Grahn schools, he helped his family grow a garden. One thing he didn’t grow, yet everyone in the family loved to eat, was Ethel Bear’s homemade chocolate syrup.  It wasn’t a meal unless that was present on the table.
Ray attended Mountain Top Chapel and Smokey Valley Baptist Church, as well as being a member of the Heart Family, which included Grandmother Louise, Sonny Logan, and other greatly loved friends.
Ray was a multi-talented man, making leather goods, whittling and woodcraft, trying to fix whatever was broken, hunting, fishing, and working with cattle and horses.  One special buddy was Meeko, a beautiful palomino. He liked bluegrass music, flute and drum music, Charlie Pride, and Ralph Stanley’s “Rank Stranger”. His latest joy was watching the birds, rabbits, and squirrels frisk around in the yard.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Pastors Jim Owens and Mike Bryant officiating. He will be laid to rest in Barker Cemetery, Barker Flats, Carter County, Kentucky, the same day.
Friends may visit from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt St., Olive Hill, KY 41164. Open to family at 9:00 AM.

Eddie attended Upper Trough Camp Holiness Church, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved everybody and was always willing to help anyone who was in need. Eddie will always be remembered as a jokester, he loved to pull pranks and found joy in aggravating his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sherry Renne Reynolds Stamper, and an infant sister; and his grandparents, Prentice and Nellie Reynolds, and Herbert and Jewell Gilliam.
Eddie is survived by his stepmother, Ethel McFarland Reynolds; three sisters, Lori (Dale) Buckler, Vicky (John) Nusbuam, and Raylene (Shawn) Zerby; one brother, Allen (Susan) Reynolds; fourteen nieces and nephews, Brandon, Billie, Corey, John, Cody, Hunter, Landon, Logan, Lucas, Elizabeth, Luke, Tori, Jude, and Anna; and eight great- nieces and great-nephews, Brayden, Adalind, Jordan, Harper, Madelynn, Emma, Noah, Braxton, and Brycen. Carl was employed by Ford Motor Company for 28 years; and served as a firefighter in Lyon Township, MI for 20 years.  He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the NRA.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, turkey shoots, and pistol shooting.  He also enjoyed bowling, watching Nascar, playing the lottery, listening to country music, and especially spending time spoiling his grandkids and great-grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie May Navarre; one sister, Billie Jean Riley; three brothers, Ralph May, Clyde May, Bob May; and grandson, Jayce May.
Carl is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frances Reynolds May; four sons, Timothy May, Mark (Laura) May, Gary (Marcy) May, and Randy (Rhonda) May; twelve grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Newsome & Garnet Carpenter Newsome.
In addition to her father, Lindsey is survived by; two sisters, Jessica (Johnny) Estes, and Christin (Dave) Walker; one brother, Shane Abbott; three nephews, Marshall Jessie, Jackson Walker, and Kasey Dickerson; and two nieces, Kalli Utley, and special niece and namesake, Olivia Beth Estes. In addition to these, she her fiancé of 15 years, Michael Hedge and her dog “son”, Bentley; as well as a host of family and friends who will greatly miss her.

Connie was a private in-home caregiver for the elderly. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a people person and very funny; and she loved to spend time with her family and friends.  Connie was very loving and giving;  she always wanted to put other’s needs before her own.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her domestic partner, Jeff Mocabee.
In addition to her mother, Connie is survived by one daughter, Amber Dawn Sparks; one special nephew, Jax Sparks, whom she helped to raise; six sisters, Angie Sparks, Elizabeth Sparks, Vickie Bair, Laurie (Bucky) Waddell, Gail (Butch) Dermon, and Denise (Michael) Adams; and one brother, Junior (Mollie) Sparks. In addition to these, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews; as well as a host of family and friends who will greatly miss her.

He enjoyed attending church at Upper Trough Camp Church, and more recently at James Chapel Community Holiness.  Jim enjoyed many different activities, especially social ones; such as attending auctions, searching out yard sales, fishing and fish fries, playing with the kids, and especially loafing at the local funeral homes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Judy Patton Reynolds; five sisters, Garrnet Callihan, Wilma Akers, Alberta “Bertie” Littleton, Alma Wells, and Eunice Hill; and four brothers, Elwood Reynolds, Charles Reynolds, Fred Reynolds, and Mike Reynolds.
Jim is survived by one sister, Linda P’Simer; a special nephew, Jake P’Simer (great-nephew, Colby); and a special friend, Darryl Garvin. In addition to these, Jim leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends who will greatly miss him.

He is survived by two sons, Zacary Cooley of TX, and Chayton Cooley of Olive Hill; three sisters, Susan (Joey) Brown, Christine Butler, Glenia Cooley, both of Clarksville, TN; one brother, Charlie Cooley of OH; and five nieces and nephews. In addition to these, George leaves behind his friend Scott Foster, who he thought of as a big brother; as well as a host of family and friends who will greatly miss him.

Linda was a homemaker, raising her five children. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Old Path Pentecostal Church and New Life Victory Church. She enjoyed farming, gardening, spending time with her family, and worshiping in church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Edward Parsons Sr.; one daughter, Glenda Sue Sammons; one grandson, Brandon Parsons; three sisters; and six brothers.
Linda is survived by four sons, Joe (Rachel) Parsons, Glenn (Becky) Parsons, Eddie Parsons, and John Parsons (Kim Paino); four sisters, Pansey Moonham of Shelbyville, TN, Laverne Owens of Holland, Michigan, Cynthia “Tiny” Covington, of Pullman, Michigan, and Shirley Murphy of Shelbyville, TN; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. In addition to these, she leaves behind her caregiver and special friend, Mary Clay; as well as a host of family and friends who will greatly miss her.

Dennis was a Master HVAC/electrician for forty years, and owned and operated LeMaster Inc. Heat & Air for 22 years. He was a member of Haldeman Church of God.  He loved to fish, hunt, and camp; and he especially enjoyed his grandkids.
In addition to his mother; he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Olen and Beulah LeMaster and Frank and Pearl Clark; and one infant sister, Anita Kaye LeMaster.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 41 years, Elaine King LeMaster; his father, Olen Jr. (Garnett) LeMaster; one daughter, Regina (Albert) Budde; two sons, Josh (Marie) LeMaster, and Brad (Misty) LeMaster; one sister, Rhonda (Earl) Cline; and ten grandchildren, Steven Budde, Aiden Holbrook, Macey Holbrook, Samuel Budde, Megan LeMaster, Cody “Chief” LeMaster, Bella Adams, Ethan LeMaster, Aleiah LeMaster, and Elijah LeMaster. In addition to these, Dennis leaves behind a host of family and friends who will greatly miss him.

Wayne was a jack-of-all trades.  He passed his time working on lawn mowers, vehicles, and helping the people around him.  He enjoyed family gatherings, farming, hunting, and fishing.  Wayne was a collector of cast iron and antiques, but mostly he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant brother, Vernon Dale Duncan; one sister, Audrey Neighbors; three brothers-in-law, Lee Neighbors, Jean Zornes, and Billy Clayton Hall; one niece, Tyra Hamilton; one nephew, Danny Ray Pelfrey; and two special friends, Randy C. Sammons, and Audrey Rodgers.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sherry Duncan; two daughters, Corina (Louis) Duncan Bray, and Brianna (Heath) Duncan Boggs; three sons, Russell (Cheyanne) Duncan, Nathanael Duncan, and Hunter Duncan; six grandchildren, David Sammons, Kaylie Bray, Dustin Bray, Brooklyn Vance, Haleigh Duncan, and McKenna Duncan; three sisters, Montana (Russell) Watson, Kelly (Sam) Carroll and Shirley Wells; one brother, Tommy (Crystal) Duncan; and several close friends that he considered as family, Kenny Pierce, Allen Henderson, Jr. Clay, Dewey Stone, and Donnie Stone, whom he thought of as a second father. In addition to these, he also leaves behind his beloved dog, Bear; as well as a host of family and friends who will sadly mourn his passing forever.

Ode was a handyman by trade.  He wanted to be working with his own hands and was a jack-of-all trades.  A musician at heart, he could play a multitude of instruments, including the guitar, banjo, mandolin, and fiddle. But most of all, he loved his grandkids, which he warmly referred to as “his babies”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sabra Sammons, and Lilly Sammons; three brothers, Leroy Sammons, Charles “Charlie Boy” Sammons, and Ernest Sammons; one grandson, Randy Sammons; and his best friend, Earl Withrow.
Ode is survived by one daughter, Thelma Michelle (John Travis) Lilly; one son, Charles Sammons (Faye Salyers); one brother, Jim Sammons; six grandchildren, Steven Sammons, Tiffany Sammons, Kelley Sammons, Damian Sammons, Caden Sammons, and Mya Martinez; and five great-grandchildren, David Sammons, Lilly Sammons, Enesmai Sammons, Dazel Humbarger, and Scarlet Wages.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Wilma Jane Lilly; one sister, Brenda Alexander; and two brothers, Simon Lilly, and Francis Lilly.
Charles is survived by two sons, Charles David Lilly, and John Travis “J.T.” (Michelle) Lilly; two sisters, Debbie Lilly, and Faye Lilly; one brother, Marion Lilly; and five grandchildren, Christian Blake Lilly, Mayzie Ann Lilly, Damion, Caden, and Mya. In addition to these, he leaves behind a host of friends, family, and veteran family that will greatly miss him.

He is also survived by his best friends Ryan Underwood and Joseph Barker, plus a host of family and friends who will greatly miss him.
Deegan was proceeded in death by his late great-grandfather, Robert "Bob" Piper, his great-great-grandmother, Betty Honea; and his uncle, Matthew Kiser.
As a member of the 2016 EKC football championship team, Deegan enjoyed football and working out with his friends. He also enjoyed his carpentry class at vocational school, playing video games, watching the UK Wildcats, and spending time with his family. One of his proudest accomplishments was being accepted to Morehead State University for the Fall 2022 semester.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lon Edward Patton and Lulu King Patton; his maternal grandparents, Hazel Bauers Scott and Clarence Scott; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dannie Sue and Robert V. Cox.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Dolores Anne Cox Patton; and one son, Lance Erik Patton. In addition to these, he leaves behind his current canine companion, Harlow, as well as a host of family and friends who will greatly miss him.

David is survived by three daughters, Kim Paino (John Parsons), Jamie Vassar, and Christine Vassar (Melvin Godsey); two sisters, Judith Buffalohead (Dwight), and Theresa Wise (Johnny); one brother, Stephan Vassar; thirteen grandchildren, James Paino IV, Kaylee Paino, Kyle Widmer, Ashley Vassar (Sandra Smith), Michael Jones (Brett Ilk), Bryce Jones, Kyrsten Jones, Nevaeh Smith, Nicholas Godsey, Chloe Godsey, Colton Godsey, Mason Godsey, and Julian Godsey; and two great-grandchildren, Zayden Davis, and Isaiah Davis .
In keeping with Mr. Vassar’s wishes, there will be no visitation or public services. A private family memorial service will be announced at a later date.
