She graduated from Middletown High School and played the Clarinet as a High School Marching Band member. Upon graduation, she continued to support the High School and served as a member on the Class Reunion Committee.
Geneva married Lawyer W. Nicholson on August 19, 1950. They were wed for over 70 years and raised six loving children in Middletown, Ohio. Geneva was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend who loved her family unconditionally. Geneva enjoyed being with her family. She took pride in cooking family dinners and having the family gather around the dinner table. She also enjoyed going on family vacations with her children, especially trips to “Las Vegas”, and having family game day. It was not unusually for her to have a new game for the family to play as she smiled at the family’s’ game “tactics”. Geneva was so proud of her family and the accomplishments. She attended every milestone event in her family lives and always there to offer comfort and support to the family during the good times and difficult times.
Geneva was mainly a stay at home mother. But she did work one job in particular that allowed her to combine her love for children and her talent for cooking. She worked at the  Middletown Head Start Program where she enjoyed spending time with the children and cooking their favorite meals.  Geneva took pride in the fact that she was able to provide meals for these children who otherwise may not receive a meal that day.
Geneva also had several hobbies and passions, including bowling and cooking. She was an avid bowler in  her early years and participated in several bowling leagues that earned her  several trophies. She recently passed down her bowling ball to one of her great granddaughters.  However, her true passion was cooking. She was well known to her family, friends, neighbors and the community as a “Great Cook”.  She always said she learned how to cook from her mother and began cooking at an early age. She was known for creating multiple recipes and cooking great food dishes, but her Turkey and Dressing recipe was the one dish she was mainly known for as the “greatest dish”.  People would always request her recipe and try to make this dish, but they always stated, “I could not get it to taste like Geneva’s”. Geneva’s Recipe for Life
Geneva was known for being a great cook, and her recipe for life is one of the most precious recipes shared with us. Ingredients: God Family and Friends Faith Love Strength Humor Spice Start with a generous cup of family and friends and mix well Add a cup of Faith, God and Love Don’t forget the humor Sprinkle with a dash of spice Face difficult times with strength and blend with the ability to persevere Always remember to add God & Family First “Welcome Family and Friends to Your Table”
Geneva leaves her family to celebrate, cherish and honor the life she lived. She is survived by her husband of Seventy-One Years, Lawyer W. Nicholson; son, William Nicholson; daughters: Sharon Barnes (John), Nickteena Nicholson, Karla Jones, Patricia Beecher, and Jackie Nicholson; grandsons: Duane Wellington; Brian Wellington (Kendra); granddaughters: Nicole Fisher (Herman), Ginny Jones, Kelli Beecher; great-grandsons: Brian Wellington Jr., Braylon Smith, and Camden Wellington; great-granddaughters: Gara Wellington, Xyann Fisher, Zaria Fisher; sister -n- laws: Ann Hutchens (Harry), Maxine Stephens; devoted first Niece, Deena Jones (Theadeus); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; sister friends: Marie Hunter, Pat Jefferson; and friends.
During her lifetime, Geneva was often referred to as a MOTHER, to not only her children but, also to her grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. We would like to recognize this special bond she had with all her extended FAMILY.
Family Reunions. Geneva loved attending the Family Reunions as she enjoyed the Family coming together as “One”.

Bishop Anthony Dixon - November 02, 1953 - January 12, 2022

Departed: 01/12/2022 (Middletown)
Obituary Preview: It is with fond memories that we celebrate the life of Anthony Dixon, who is now a proud citizen of Glory and went to meet the Lord on January 12, 2022. We remember him as a faithful leader who surrendered his life to Christ as a young man and never looked backed.  Luke 9:62 Anthony was the first-born son of Rubin and Evelyn Dixon, born into this world on November 2, 1953 in Dayton, OH.  His siblings, Sheila, Ricky, Kevin and Dwayne all were raised in a loving and supportive home where a strong work ethic and perseverance where taught and encouraged. Proverbs 22:6 On June 21, 1975, Anthony proudly wed Joyce Ann Stokes at Bethesda Apostolic Temple, with whom he went on to begin a family.  Their two children, Lachanna Jackson and Jermaine Dixon were reared in the admonishment of the Lord.   Through the leading of the Lord, the family moved to Cincinnati, OH, in 1991, with Anthony becoming Associate Pastor of the Testament Worship Center. Genesis 12:1 Sometime later, and moved by God, Pastor Dixon expanded his faith in 1996 and established Oasis Ministries, A Place of Watering.  Partnered with his right-hand, Pastor Joyce, they equipped the saints of the Most High through rigorous study of God’s word. With persistent instruction, he continued to enrich and lead the saints to embrace God’s power and to expect Signs, Wonders, Miracles, and Mighty Deeds.  II Corinthians 12:12 Over time, as doors opened and righteous relationships were established throughout the region, Oasis Ministries became known as the ‘Church on Wheels,’ with Pastor Dixon and his ministry traveling to fellowship with churches with the intent to set the captive free. Mark 16:15-16 In 2010, Pastor Dixon was ordained Bishop Dixon of Oasis Ministries and in time through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, he became overseer of “Look Upon Us Men’s Ministry.” I Timothy 3:1-7, Acts 3:4 Anthony is predeceased by his mother, Evelyn Dixon and brother Ricky Huiel. He leaves behind his wife, Joyce Ann Dixon, and their two children, Lachanna Jackson (Rashawn) and Jermaine Dixon (Nakia). Proverbs 13:22 Left to cherish Anthony’s memory are his father, Rubin Dixon, sister, Sheila Dixon, and brothers, Kevin and Dwayne Dixon. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Rayna, Lauryn, Justin, William, Carrington, and Jonathan, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, along with spiritual sons and daughters.  Psalms 145:4
