Jasmine Boldridge - December 27, 1998 - April 09, 2024

Departed: 04/09/2024 (Temple)
Obituary Preview: Jasmine Renée Boldridge, a spirited soul who lit up every room with her presence, was called to her eternal rest on April 9, 2024, at the young age of 25. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, on December 27, 1998, Jasmine's life was as vibrant and full of energy as she was. Her brief yet meaningful journey concluded in Killeen, Texas. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter and a treasure trove of memories for her adoring son, Jeremiah King, who was the apple of her eye. Her parents, Charles and Melinda White; along with her father, Phillip Boldridge; and her siblings, Christian, Tiffanie, Jordan Coleman, Brandon White, and Phoebey Boldridge will continue to share tales of Jasmine's exploits that are sure to bring smiles to faces for years to come.  The family tree stands strong with Jasmine's memory forever etched in its roots, as her nieces, Sincere White and Zaylee Trimble; nephews, Damian White, Darell Leigh, and Zen Coleman; and her loving grandmother, Karen Bidwell, will all miss her dearly. A multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins can attest that family gatherings will not be the same without Jasmine's infectious chuckle and mischievous grin.  A Raytown High School alumna, she made a lasting impression on her classmates and teachers with her cheerful nature and kind heart. The memory of Jasmine will be honored in the hearts of those who knew her, and her life celebrated for the joy and compassion she shared with each person she met.  In true Jasmine fashion, let's not say goodbye with heavy hearts but with a wink and a nod to the wonderful whimsy she brought to our lives. Her story may have reached its final chapter, but her spirit is still writing footnotes in the margins of our days. Keep an eye out for those "Jasmine Moments" - when the laughter bubbles up unexpectedly, that's her spirit saying hello!

Priscilla Pope - September 23, 1928 - March 30, 2024

Departed: 03/30/2024 (Temple)
Obituary Preview: Honoring the Life of a Woman of Faith Sister Priscilla Boudreaux Pope
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 3:13-14~
The Faithfulness of God directs the Faith of those who resolve to live faithful lives to His Glory. As the Author and Finisher of our Faith, the Lord inspires our hearts to please Him by leading us in the paths of righteousness for the Glory and Honor of His Holy Name. Along the paths of righteousness, one learns how Faithful God is to the Truth of His Word when they resolve to live by Faith. According to Hebrews 11:6, Faith is the means to pleasing God. According to Habakkuk 2:4, Faith is the model for living. It is the means to pleasing God and the model for prospering in the glory of His Purpose for one's life.
Honoring the Lord for His Faithfulness was living a Life of Faith for the honorable Sister Priscilla Boudreaux Pope.
She was born the second of two children to the parental stewardship of Adolph and Amelia Johnson Boudreaux on September 23, 1928, in Biloxi, Mississippi.
She was reared in the fear and admonition of the Lord under the godly walk and wisdom of her grandmother, Lucinda Johnson. In the sunset of her teenage year of 19, she settled her eternal destiny by receiving Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at Bethel Baptist Church.
She received her formal education in the Biloxi School system and graduated from Biloxi Colored High School in 1947. She then attended the Andrews School of Beauty and Culture from 1949 to 1953, graduating at the top of her class. For 41 years, she was gainfully employed as a highly respected cosmetologist.
Her life as an honorable young lady would be forever changed in 1946 when she met the heartbeat of her life, the late Willie J. Pope Sr. The realization that she was bone of his bones and flesh of his flesh would be openly confirmed when they were united in holy matrimony three days before her twentieth birthday, September 20, 1948. Two beautiful children were added to this union. The family traveled in and out of the country throughout her husband’s tour of duty in the United States Army.
In 1969, she and her family settled permanently in Killeen. At this time, Sister Pope united with Marlboro Heights Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Pastor R.A. Abercrombie. Her membership at Marlboro began a godly legacy that would long outlast her earthly tenure. Her legacy is constructed by the character and course of her Faith. The character of her Faith was consistent with the measure she knew the Lord invested in her. As a steward of Faith, she viewed serving the Lord as an essential that would never become optional. From the onset of her union with Marlboro, she devoted herself to partnering in the work of Ministry under the direction of her pastor. Everywhere her heart could find a place to engage her hands in Ministry, she labored in love. She was a member of the Music Ministry, a Sunday School Teacher, a Sunday School Department Superintendent, a Youth Ministry Worker, a Vacation Bible School Instructor, a Culinary Chairman, and a Senior Women's Mission Instructor, to name a few of the in-reach ministries she served. While never formally licensed, she was a gifted minister of Evangelism and Discipleship. She was a member of the Evangelical and Street Ministry. She ministered for many years at the Gatesville Prison in partnership with the Bill Glass Ministry. She was a bonafide Prayer Warrior, assigned to serve as Chairperson for the Wednesday morning Prayer Band in 1974. She was a Woman of Wisdom who never minced her words when it came to disseminating Truth. She was a Consummate Counselor, a Seasoned and Spirit-filled Saint whose life of Faith helped to define, direct, and develop countless lives beyond her own. She was a Saint with a Servant’s heart. She was a Student with a serious appetite for “Nothing but the Word.” She was a Leader who believed that leading begins with an example beyond expression. She was a Disciple devoted to developing the fruit of her salvation, living by Faith.
Her life of Faith kissed the Faithfulness of God as sure as she lived to serve the Glory of His Purpose. To this end, Sister Priscilla Pope fought the good fight and finished her course by keeping the Faith. As with the apostle Paul, she could rightly affirm her readiness for life's most triumphant transition in the words of 2 Timothy 4:6-8. “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the Faith: 8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
On Saturday morning, March 30, 2024, Sister Priscilla Pope peacefully transitioned beyond the shores of this earthly realm to enter the eternal Presence of the Lord. Among those who preceded her earthly departure are her parents, Adolph and Amelia Boudreaux; her grandmother, Lucinda Johnson; brother, Rudolph Boudreaux; grandson, Obeduah Tsolumba; and her husband, Willie J. Pope Sr.
Among those who live to cherish the honor of her godly legacy, embracing the consolation of the reunion at the return of our Lord are her loving children, Jean Hines and Willie Pope, Jr. (Wendlyn) of Killeen, Texas; grandchildren, Othello Henderson III, (Kimberly) DuShan Henderson (Christina), Rashid Hines (Ilene), six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and a host of other near and dear loved ones and friends. As a Woman of Faith, her life bears the fruit of a godly legacy that will long impact the former, present, and future generations beyond her earthly tenure. Let us rejoice that she has now won the prize for which God has called her heavenward to gain in Christ Jesus!
