Anthony Sandoval - May 06, 1982 - March 24, 2024

Departed: 03/24/2024 (Thornton)
Obituary Preview: Anthony Troy Sandoval, born on May 6, 1982, passed away March 24th, 2024. Beloved husband of Riolynn Lucero, Proud father to Krissie Lucero, Anthony Sandoval Jr, Julionna Sandoval and Alexander Sandoval. Loving Grandfather to Kashius and Giannis. Amazing son of Kimberly Sandoval Archuletta, caring brother of Clorinda Burkhert, Maximino Chavez, Roger Archuletta, and Shanice Casares. Fun and loving Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, Friend and Coach to many. Preceded in death by his Grandparents Thomas and Lilly Sandoval, aunt Freda Guerrieri, uncle Tom Sandoval, and Leo Sandoval.
Anthony aka The Goat, OG, Tone, Ants, Coach, Mr_2_Buku_4_U, Handsome, TJ, Troy, Anton, was born in Denver, CO and was recognized by all as the life of the party and often the center of attention.
Anthony had a bigger than life personality and always left an impact wherever he went. To know Anthony was to love Anthony. It is likely that you spent time with Anthony bantering over sports, getting worked up about fantasy football or playing softball. It may have been at a country music concert or on the mic for a night of karaoke at the bar. Or maybe you got to join Anthony on one of his beloved camping, hunting or fishing trips. If you were really lucky you got to watch him in action doing one of his favorite things; coaching the kids. Wherever or however you knew Anthony you would catch him with a smile making the most of every moment. Anthony loved to make others laugh and loved to laugh himself! He sure knew how to have a good time and make sure everyone else did too. Without a doubt you certainly knew how much Anthony loved his family!
Anthony met Riolynn in 2001 in Pueblo at his Uncles club; Hogans. They spent time getting to know each other and within about 6 months Anthony made it official by asking Riolynn to be his Boo. After a few more months they moved back to Denver and a short time later found out they were expecting Anthony Jr. Anthony took to the responsibilities as a husband and father and lovingly accepted Krissie as his own while anticipating Juniors arrival in 2002 followed by Julionna in 2006 and Alexander in 2007. They bought their home in Thornton where they currently resided. Anthony cherished his life partner Riolynn and together they built a legacy of love and commitment. Their enduring marriage was a testament to their unwavering devotion to each other, weathering life’s joys and challenges hand in hand. As parents, they nurtured and guided their beautiful children with boundless love, imparting upon them the values of kindness, integrity and resilience. The warmth and strength of their family bond will forever be cherished and remembered.
Anthony was a devoted family man whose passion touched the lives of many. For 18 years during his spare time, he selflessly dedicated himself to coaching basketball, softball and football. Through his guidance and leadership, he not only imparted athletic skills but also instilled values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance in countless individuals. His impact on the lives of his players will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Anthony proudly established himself as a working man and during his 22 years at Reddy Ice he exemplified dedication and leadership. Starting as a committed team member, he ascended to the role of a Field Service Equipment Manager, where his vision and guidance were instrumental in shaping a whole new team. His tireless work ethic, coupled with his ability to inspire and mentor others not only contributed to the success of the company but also fostered a culture of excellence and camaraderie. His legacy at Reddy Ice will continue to be felt by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
A friend of his said it best when he said Anthony could be found “Center Stage”, center court, center of a football field, center of a huddle, center of the refs, center of attention, center of his family, center of a country concert singing and dancing with his wife.
We are so grateful that Anthony impressed so many beautiful memories upon us all. He was an amazing man and will be forever missed and never ever forgotten.

Why are obituaries important?

Obituaries serve as a way to notify friends, family, and community members of a person's passing, allowing them to pay their respects and offer condolences. They also provide a sense of closure and help to celebrate the life of the deceased.

Who typically writes an obituary?

In most cases, the obituary is written by the family of the deceased, often with the assistance of a funeral home or mortuary. In some cases, a close friend or colleague may also write an obituary.

What information should be included in an obituary?

A typical obituary should include the person's full name, age, date of birth and death, and a brief biography highlighting their accomplishments, interests, and relationships. It may also include information about their surviving family members, funeral arrangements, and any charitable donations or memorials in their name.

How long should an obituary be?

The length of an obituary can vary depending on the publication and the individual's life story. Typically, an obituary should be between 100-500 words in length.

Can I include photos or other media in an obituary?

Yes, many publications allow you to include photos or other media, such as videos or audio recordings, in an obituary. This can help to make the tribute more personal and meaningful.

How do I submit an obituary to a newspaper or online publication?

The process for submitting an obituary varies depending on the publication. You can usually find submission guidelines on the publication's website or by contacting their obituary department directly.

How much does it cost to publish an obituary?

What is the difference between an obituary and a death notice?

Are there any specific guidelines for writing an obituary for someone who was young or died suddenly?

When writing an obituary for someone who was young or died suddenly, focus on celebrating their life and achievements rather than dwelling on their untimely passing. Be honest about their struggles if applicable, but prioritize honoring their memory and legacy.

Can I include information about charitable donations or memorial funds in an obituary?

Yes! Many families choose to include information about charitable donations or memorial funds in lieu of flowers. This can help continue the deceased's legacy and support causes they cared about.

How do I handle conflicting opinions within the family when writing an obituary?

If there are conflicting opinions within the family when writing an obituary, try to focus on finding common ground and compromising on language that works for everyone involved. Remember that the goal is to celebrate your loved one's life and legacy.
