Thomas Zellers - August 21, 1940 - September 13, 2019

Departed: 09/13/2019 (Washington)
Obituary Preview: Thomas E. Zellers, age 79, of Phillipsburg NJ, died peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2019, at his home. Tom was born August 21, 1940, in Oxford, N.J. He is the son of the late Henry and the late Agnes (Cryan) Zellers.
A loving man, Tom cared deeply about his family, and never forgot to tell loved ones "I love you." As so many know, Tom loved to be surrounded by family and close friends, especially his wife, sons, daughter, niece Tracy, for whom he became a father figure throughout her childhood, and in more recent years, his many grandchildren. He thoroughly enjoyed photography, especially taking photos of his family and friends. He loved to page through albums, often reminiscing about his childhood and a lifetime spent in northwest New Jersey. He was a proud resident of Oxford, N.J., and enjoyed learning and sharing the history of his hometown.
His love for cars, especially Corvettes and Volkswagen Beetles (1973 Beetles, in particular), was shared with his sons, with whom he spent long hours in his garage fixing up an impressive number of vehicles over the years. His boys remember fondly the challenges of getting engines up and running, and all the wonderful memories made in the process.
For more than a decade, Tom and his family treasured time spent down the shore at Resort Country Club and Campground near Sea Isle City, N.J., where they met many neighbors who became as close as family and spent countless summer days together. Tom's family remembers his quick-witted jokes, and how he always kept them on their toes. He was known for his love of sweets--he never minded what was on the dinner menu, as long as dessert followed. A true friend to all, Tom always found the good in others and never hesitated to help anyone in need. An outgoing man with a kind heart, he touched countless lives, and will be truly missed by all.
A hardworking man,Tom's diligence was an asset at a number of workplaces throughout the years. He accrued a varied resume, from a factory to a nursing home, a campground to a school. Most recently, after more than 20 years, Tom retired from Oxford Central School, where he undoubtedly made a lasting impression on the many students he met while serving the school as a custodian. He instilled in his children the value of a hard day's work, and was proud that they remain dedicated and hardworking, as well.
Tom was a master craftsman and a perpetual "tinkerer." He loved working with his hands to build and fix things. He especially enjoyed making bird houses and gifting them to others. In his own words, Tom "would not stop until his last day," and he was right: He spent his final day building a deck for his family. It is difficult to know if there will ever be another person who loved his work as much as Tom did.
He was also an animal lover and never failed to care for an animal in need. He felt strongly that animals deserve love, and he devoted himself to many pets--from cats and dogs to more unconventional pets like exotic birds and chinchillas--throughout his life.
Surviving Tom is his wife of thirty four years, Beth; daughter Tonya Mineo of Bethlehem, PA; sons, Thomas Hart (Chandelle) of Missouri, Robert Dorshimer (Shirl) of Saylorsburg, PA, Thomas Zellers (Natasha) of Phillipsburg, and Shawn Zellers (Melissa) of Oxford, NJ. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His brothers and sister; Joseph Cryan, Richard Zellers and Joan Connolly predeceased him.

Pullandaye Brown - January 19, 1955 - September 02, 2019

Departed: 09/02/2019 (Washington)
Obituary Preview: Pullandaye Brown
A beautiful soul was born January 19th, 1955 to Chin Sinanan Kangalee and Cumabarsie Jamoonie Hetai in the Islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Pullandaye had an unbreakable bond with her parents and siblings. She was especially close to her sisters Diadiaye (deceased), Basdai, Samdaye and her youngest brother Chaitlal (deceased), together they were a force to be reckoned with.
Pullandaye lived a full life. She had many ups and downs as life would have it but everything she did was done with undeniable faith, love and grace. At a very young age she lost her father and turned to God for strength. She decided to make a choice that was met with much backlash from her family, she left the Hindu faith and took the path of a Seventh Day Adventist. Her faith has been her foundation ever since.
At the age of 16, Pullandaye married Beresford Maloney. Beresford wanted a better life for Pullandaye and her entire family. She left behind all that was familiar to her and made the journey to the United States. Through her hard work and major support from her husband Beresford, she was able to bring her mother and her siblings to the US as well. Once her sister Samdaye was settled into her life here, Pullandaye returned to Trinidad to bring her beloved nieces to the States and reunite them with their mother. Throughout her life, her servants heart and daily acts of kindness could be felt by all she encountered. Her spirit was so genuine, she lit up any room she entered and touched your heart with her beautiful smile.
Although, Beresford and Pullandaye’s marriage ended in divorce - her first 2 heartbeats were born, Deborah and Celeste. After picking up the pieces of her life, she moved to New Jersey and welcomed her third heartbeat, daughter Amelia was born. Her 3 daughters were her reason to keep going everyday. She worked hard and instilled so many values in her girls teaching them that Faith in God would get them through anything life threw their way. Stand on Faith, Be Kind, and Family is everything. As a busy mother caring for her young daughters, things were not always easy. God continued to bless and keep Pullandaye.
By the time baby Ameilia was 2, she met the man that would become her husband, best friend and protector, Williford E. Brown Jr. She affectionately called him “Papa” and when she wasn’t so happy with him, she in her own special way called him “Brother Brown”. He knew he was in trouble. They were a match made in heaven, he has never left her side since the day they were married. He loves her deeply and has cared for her daughters as if they were his own. Their life together was joyful and he dedicated his life to her, even neglecting his own health to remain by her side to the very end. Their love for one another was unconditional. Love is patient, Love is Kind and that is the love, “Papa” has, to this moment for his beloved wife.
This Earthly Angel we lovingly call Mommy, is the most wonderful, compassionate mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother we have all been blessed by. The Joys of her life was her wonderful husband, raising her 3 beautiful daughters, spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Heaven truly gained an Angel when the Father called her home and surely said,
“Well Done my Good and Faithful Servant, Well Done”.
Mommy, we love you - until we laugh again, Rest in Peace and Power.
