Obituary Preview: Anna Zimmerman, born some time ago, has passed after an intensive and fierce battle with cancer. Sword drawn, she ran in, shouting some fabulously colorful curse words, to fight the bitter battle. Sadly, she tired and, after being struck a mortal blow, succumbed to her wounds early on the morning of September 15th. Born in England to Muriel (née Singleton) and Leopold Lachowicz, Anna was a brilliant, creative woman who surrounded herself with lush gardens and a warm,

colorful home. She taught herself anything she didn't know, making her own dulcimer, building stone fences, and turning any space, indoor or out, into fantastical, beautiful escapes.

She raised two loving daughters, Kathleen and Gwendolyn, who were lucky enough to inherit her love of life, her sense of humor and talent for including curse words into everyday conversation without offending anyone.

She touched the lives of many, and imparted wisdom at every opportunity, wanted or not. She was generous, helpful, giving and one hell of a cook. She was a mom to more people than she realized and a steady influence on her nephew, Ed, who shared her love of music, literature and off-color humor.

Anna spent much of her later years with her dogs, and there were many, her neighbor, Laurie, who kept her safe and laughing, her friends, and the love of her grandchildren, Frank and Peri.

Hers was a life well lived and well loved. She is survived by her brother, Leo Lachowicz, her daughters Kathleen (Stan) Schoeberl, Gwendolyn (Sam) Leonardi, her nephew, Ed Lachowicz, her grandchildren Frank Schoeberl and Peri Leonardi, and friends and family both local and across the pond. Her passing leaves a spot not easily filled.

Anna wouldn't want anyone to cut or send flowers in her name, believing flowers should be enjoyed where they live. Should you want to donate to an organization in her name, Anna would love knowing that you did so to an animal shelter of your choosing.

Anna didn't want a service or funeral. Her family does hope that you will find a beautiful garden, sit down, enjoy its beauty, with your pet if you have one, and relive some good memories of her.

Obituary Preview: Ciriaca Luzadas Ninobla went home to be with the Lord in the afternoon of September 3rd, 2023 at the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center with her family lovingly by her side. To her close friends and family, she is known as "Yay," and to her own children and grandchildren, she is "Granny." Yay, who was born on April 7th, 1943, to Nazario Luzadas Sr. and Felicisima Ferrer, spent her early years in Lingayen, Pangasinan in the Philippines with her sisters Rebecca, Rose, Josefina, Catalina, and Norma as well as her brothers Nazario Jr., Abundio, Jesse, and Primitivo.

Yay bravely uprooted herself from her hometown at the age of 16 to attend Adamson University in Manila to study Chemical Engineering. As a Licensed Engineer, she worked tirelessly as a Professor at Adamson University for more than 25 years before retiring in 1999. Throughout her career, Yay gave guidance and instilled confidence to countless students to help them achieve their goals. In 2013, she moved in with her daughters' families in Burlington, New Jersey.

Yay radiated strength, grace, and wisdom. She was kind, giving, and capable of mothering even those who sought refuge under her care. She enjoyed dressing in vibrant, upbeat colors and inviting her friends to gather in her home. Yay also enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, traveling, attending Catholic mass, and watching the daily programming on the EWTN Channel.

Yay is survived by her children Richard, Ferdinand, Joselito, Hazel, and Gina, as well as her grandchildren James Euclid, Carina, Katrina, Jacob Eugene, Kristin Gian, Kadmiel Paul, and John Ver. She is also survived by her sons-in-law Roland Chavez and Christopher Bautista, as well as her daughters-in-law Genever, Rechie, and Ena.

Obituary Preview: Biagio (Ben) Louis Passione of Delanco passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at The Samaritan Center at Voorhees.

Ben was born to Ciro and Catherina Passione, predeceased, in Brooklyn, NY on January 16, 1932. He was married to the late Dorothy Jeanne Nicholas, on July 28, 1962. He is survived by children, stepson Kenneth (Marlene) Kelly, William (Jacquelyn) Passione, Donna (Gary) Kern, and Keith Passione. Daughter-in-law Lisa Passione. Grandfather to Laura Kern (Matt Scott), Benjamin Passione (Mickayel Thurin) and Zachary Passione. Great-grandfather to Maurice Passione and Jaxon Scott. Sibling to Louis Passione, and predeceased by Andrew and Rachel Passione. His nephew Jerry (Mary) Passione and niece Kathy (Brendan) Doherty.

He served honorably in the U.S. Army as Corporal during the Korean War which he was a radioman from 1953 to 1955.

Ben was very active in Delanco being a baseball and basketball coach there for many years. He also was deeply involved at his church, St. Joseph’s in Beverly, NJ, where he loved coaching CYO basketball.

After 32 years Ben retired as a technical writer for RCA Cherry Hill and Camden locations. He enjoyed traveling the world during his career to Greenland, Morocco and Germany to name a few.

A loyal fan to the Mets since their origination in 1962 and was happy to see them in the playoffs this past year. He loved baseball as a boy, and then played golf and bowled with his RCA coworkers. At home, he enjoyed word puzzles and Sudoku until recently.

Obituary Preview: Richard Caruso of Burlington passed away into God's loving and eternal care on Thursday September 3,2020 at Virtua Hospital, Willingboro. He was 90.

Born in Burlington, he was a lifelong resident.

Richard was a proud Air Force Veteran. After his service to his country he continued his service to his community as a policeman for the Burlington County Bridge Commission retiring as Captain in 1990. He was a member of the FOP Lodge # 2 He loved fishing with his favorite fishing buddy Joe Coccia. In 1980 he went to see the place where his parents were born in Italy. He enjoyed the occasional trip to Atlantic City. and doing crossword puzzles.

He is preceded in death by his parents Vincenzo and Angelina Caruso; his sister Rose and brothers Lou and Jimmy and his beloved wife of 49 years Evelyn. Richard is survived by his daughters, Diane Evanson (Jim) and Darlene; His grandchildren Bryan Rhone Sharon, Michael Hos, and Lisa Barnett; his great grandchildren Paige, Dean, Mason, Madison and Logan. He also leaves behind a sister Sue Coccia and special niece JoAnn; and sister in laws, Rose Caruso, Clara Viereck, Sandra Borradaile and Linda Fillmeyer as well as extended family and dear friends.

A walkthrough viewing with social distancing protocols and masks will be held from 11 a.m.-until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the Dennison-McGee Funeral Home, 869 Beverly Road, Burlington. Graveside services will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington.
