Marjorie Joan Thompson - March 19, 1933 - March 05, 2024

Departed: 03/05/2024 (Buxton)
Obituary Preview: Marjorie Joan Thompson, 90, of Hollis Center, went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2024, at home while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 19, 1933, in Hollis Center, to the late Howard and Edith (Barnes) Haskell. Joan met the love of her life while the pair were in high school. She and Gene were married on April 17, 1954, and spent the next 69 years as an inseparable team.
Joan is survived by her beloved husband, Gene, her sons Peter (Mary) and Eric (Sally), her grandchildren Katie (Chris), Matthew, Evelyn, Blake, and Benjamin, and her great-grandsons Samuel, Caleb, and Isaiah. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Howard Haskell, Jr.

She worked as a private secretary to the Civilian Personnel Manager at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, while her husband was stationed there. After returning to Maine, Joan began her career with the U.S Postal Service. She worked in several local post offices and retired in 1992.
In late 1960 through the 1970s, Joan and her family enjoyed camping throughout northern New England and eastern Canada in an old Cox camper. She also loved swimming, water and downhill skiing, and spending time at Sebago Lake. She and Gene traveled across the U.S., Canada, and the world together, having adventures and making memories, both for business and for pleasure, over the span of forty-five years.
Joan was a very particular lady. The running joke was, “grandma is cold, everyone put on a jacket,” and we were happy to do it. She was especially particular about Gene’s diet—so much so that the grandchildren took to sneaking him French fries at any given restaurant. Joan pretended not to notice, but she always knew.
She was dearly loved by all of us, and we will miss her always.

He was born in Portland Maine on January 05, 1965 the son of Herbert and Helen (Jordan) Bryant.
Tim Graduated from Portland High and worked at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant for 33 years.
He was a quiet gentle soul that loved to laugh with his family and loved rock and roll music as well as watching the old TV classics. His family was always impressed with his memory. If we couldn’t remember facts or dates, he always had the answer anytime we wondered when something happened, or birth dates, or even songs and the artist--his ability to recall was uncanny. He was a diligent worker and continued to work until a few weeks before the cancer claimed his life.
He will be missed by all his family and never forgotten.

Richard Germon - February 14, 1932 - December 04, 2023

Departed: 12/04/2023 (Buxton)
Obituary Preview: Richard W. Germon - age: 91 (February 14, 1932 to December 04, 2023 ) Resident of Acton, Maine Visitation Information:
A celebration of life will be held in the spring. Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home in Saco, Maine has taken charge of cremation. Obituary:
It is with heartbreak and sadness announcing that Richard W. Germon transitioned to the afterlife joining his wife, Ann, and daughter, Deborah, in the early morning hours of December 4. He was born on Valentine’s Day, 1932, in Winsted, CT to the late Dorothea (Gremler) and Henry Germon. Attending elementary school in Winsted and graduating from high school on Long Island, NY, he went on to receive a degree from State University of NY in Applied Science majoring in Auto and Diesel Tech and further enhancing his education in the Navy during the Korean War. During his stint in the military, he met and married his sweetheart, M. Ann Humphrey of Winsted and was transferred to Texas where he completed his enlistment; then on to Illinois where they bought their first home. He eventually moved his family back to Winsted (always home) and built the first of two homes, one in Barkhamsted while working at Combustion Engineering in Bloomfield for the next 35 years where he forged many friendships, both personal and professional. Moving to and retiring in New Hampshire, along with acquiring his “castle on the hill” in Maine, he took time to enjoy his pleasures – gardening, fishing, hunting, boating and teaching his grandchildren to water ski with patience and dedication. He always had a story to tell or an opinion to share whether you wanted to hear it or not; he was genuine, compassionate, had a big heart and will truly be missed.
Dick is survived by daughter, Bonnie (David) Boratko along with grandchildren: Bryce (Sarah), great grandchildren Lola, Grayson and Wes; Christina (Erik) Jassen, great granddaughters Lilyan and Kayle. Also surviving Dick is his son, William “Bill” and granddaughters Kara and Haile.

Biddeford-Albert Murray, 85 of Ray Street, Biddeford, Maine, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. He was born on December 3rd, 1937 in Biddeford and the son of Robert and Irene Murray. Albert lost his mother at the age of eight years old, but had a very close relationship with his dad, older siblings and sister Elsie Boudreau who stepped up to the role (they share the same birthday). Albert attended Saco schools and was a graduate of Thornton Academy where he developed his music and vocals talent as part of the glee club and continued as an active member of the Alumni, recently performing at the 60th reunion for the TA class of 1956. After high school, Albert transferred to Kentucky for basic training with the Army and served in the military police.
Albert shared his gift of music to many in the community, forming the Ole Tyme band around 2010 and regularly played at area senior centers and nursing facilities right to the day of his passing. Albert owned and operated businesses within the community to include; Scammons Variety, Kinmonds Rental and Twin City Seafood Market.
Albert married his sweetheart wife Carmen and they were married 64 years until she passed in April of this year. Together they raised their family in Biddeford, creating a beloved space for gatherings and cherished memory making. Albert was very involved as a proud father and grandfather; the greatest fan support you could ask for. Although Albert made every effort to participate and prepare for the holiday season with his family, unfortunately his broken heart just could not make it through a Christmas season without her.
Albert is survived by his sister Elsie Boudreau of Saco, and predeceased siblings Richard, Robert, Althea, Catherine, Walter and Leroy Albert. He is also survived by his three children Celeste Cloutier and husband Larry of Saco, Jocelyn Murray of Rochester, NH and John Murray and wife Kim of Schnecksville Pennsylvania. His four grandchildren Eryn DiPhilippo Ellis and husband Josh, Joseph Cloutier, Thomas Cloutier and wife Amanda, and Julia Murray, as well as the light of his last days his great grandson Levi Albert Ellis.
