Born July 14, 1934 in Renovo she was the daughter of the late Kenneth C.L. and Ruth Wadsworth Mincer.  On July 29, 1950 in North Bend she married James A. Tarantella who died May 29, 2014. Edie was a long time employee at the Susque-View Home in Lock Haven where she was a nurses aid.
Ruth was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Renovo, PA. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and more recently painting stones. Renovo, PA.  Born May 1, 1939 in Renovo, PA he was the son of the late Carl and Edith Scott Johnson.  On August 13, 1988 he married Patricia A. Read who survives at home. Richard was a 1958 graduate of the Renovo High School and had attended Williamsport Technical Institute.
Richard was a member of the Christian Community Church S. Renovo, PA which he faithfully attended. He had worked for 26 years  for Pullman Power, and had also worked for 7 years at Southern Cross. Richard enjoyed travelling to Florida in in his motorhome and visiting the family camp on Kettle Creek. In addition to his wife he is survived by:

Dr. Thomas C. Wynn - November 15, 1962 - February 27, 2022

Obituary Preview: Dr Thomas C. Wynn passed away peacefully  February 27, 2022 at The Gatehouse, his wife at his bedside after a long battle with Cancer.   He is survived by his wife, Jane Wynn, a brother Jimmy Wynn and his wife Wanda in NC, two step-sons, Victor Roa, OK, Charles Roa, NC, niece Mary Alyson Wynn NC, and Nephew’,J.D. Wynn, NC. He was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Allison Wynn and father David Banks Wynn.   Dr. Wynn taught in the Department of Geology and Physics. He began at LHU in 2004 and was promoted to the rank of Professor in August of 2017. He served as Chair from 2011 until 2014 during the construction of and transition to the new Science Center (ECSC). His collegiality and dedication to the success of the department and the university were most evident during that period.
He taught courses at all levels in Geology. His students prized him as a teacher. He inspired them through mentoring and supervising of more than 30 Independent Studies, many of which resulted in presentations and publications at national and regional Geology conferences and in highly regarded journals.

Rupert who survives at home.  Dan was a 1987 graduate of the Bald Eagle Nittany High School and had attended Penn College of Technology for 2 years studying Drafting.
He was a member of the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, Deputy Chief of the Vol. Fire Co. of Mill Hall where he was a life member, the Twin Springs Lodge, a former member of Mill Hall Borough Council,  L.O.O.M. # 100 , Lock Haven and Sons of ItaIy, Lock Haven. Dan enjoyed hunting ,fishing, spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. Robert F. Johnson - July 21, 1929 - February 02, 2022

Obituary Preview: Robert Franklin Johnson, 92, of Youngdale, died at his home on Tuesday, February 2, 2022.  Known to all as “Bobby”, he was born July 21, 1929, the son of George S. and Alice Knarr Johnson.  He is survived by his sister Betty L. Workman of Lock Haven, niece Carol Andrus of Dunnstown, great nieces Patty Andrus of McElhattan, Tammy (Robert) Dauber of Williamsport, Jamie (Brent) Baldwin of Ada, Oklahoma, and great-nephew James Jr. (Becky) Andrus of McElhattan, as well as numerous great-great nieces and -nephews, and many cousins including James and Judy Lovette of Lock Haven.
Bobby was a veteran of the United States Air Force, enlisting in 1947 and retiring in 1969 as a Master Sergeant.  Initially assigned to an Air Police squadron during the Berlin Airlift, he subsequently applied for pararescue training and spent almost the next 20 years as a rescue parachutist and diver assigned to what was then-called the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service.  Bobby made over 350 parachute jumps during his career, as well as participated in helicopter rescue operations, in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the United States.  While stationed in the U.S., Bobby was assigned to support NASA’s Mercury and Gemini spaceflight programs, parachuting and diving to recover NASA equipment and space capsules (including being the first diver to reach John Young and Gus Grissom’s Gemini 3 capsule).  Bobby’s awards and qualifications included the Master Parachutist and Enlisted Aircrew Badges, Dive Badge, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and Army Good Conduct Medals, among others.
Bobby briefly worked at Piper Aircraft before joining the service, and after retiring Bobby returned home and worked for Centre Concrete for 22 years.
Bobby was an active member of many organizations.  He was a Life Member (and also an office holder) of the Wayne Township Fire Department, a board member and caretaker of the Linwood Cemetery for 30 years, volunteer caretaker of the Throne Cemetery, an Angel Food Ministries volunteer, Red Cross blood donor and an 80-year member of the McElhattan Methodist Church.  He cared deeply for the Youngdale and McElhattan areas and those that live there.  He loved his pets dearly.
The family wishes to thank all of those who helped care for Bobby during his illness for all the support they showed for him, and their help, and suggests that any memorials be sent to the McElhattan United Methodist Church.
A memorial service for Bobby will be held at 3:00 p.m. on March 13, 2022, at the McElhattan United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Saldana officiating.

Long enjoyed playing ice hockey, roller hockey, playing guitar, doing electrical work, going to concerts and especially spending time with friends and his family.  He was a member of Layfette Lodge # 199, F & AM, Lock Haven, PA. “Hoppy” had worked at Truck-Lite. He loved animals, football and had won a state wrestling title winning 3rd place in his weight class.  He was a 1975 Graduate of the Bald Eagle-Nittany High School. He is survived by: 1 Daughter: Christine W.(Billy Hammons) Keefer, Watsontown, PA 2 Sons: David C. Glossner,III, and Galon R. Glossner both of Lock Haven, PA 1 Sister: Joy Marie Reece, S. After working at 1st Quality for 7 years on August 6, 2018 Woody opened Slaterbeck’s Auto Repair and Performance Garage in Lock Haven, Woody enjoyed Tik Tok, Drag Racing and most of all his family. David was born September 1, 1933 in Grove City, PA, the son of the late Carlos and Ida Glessner. He graduated from Grove City College in May 1959 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  He was employed by the Pennsylvania Health Department, Department of Environmental Resources and Department of Environmental Protection for 36 years retiring in 1995.
David was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He enjoyed his involvement as a member of the Clinton County Planning Commission, Clinton County Extension, Suburban Water Authority, American Water Work Association, National Rifle Association and United Lutheran Church.
Surviving is his wife, Carol of 62 years; two sons, Gary (Margaret) of Myersville, MD and John of Kings Mill, OH; three grandchildren: Josh (Hanna), Medina, OH, Matt (Hannah), Mountville, PA and Rachel (Josh), Myersville, MD. Also surviving are three sisters; Marillyn Patterson (George), Richboro, PA, Ida Marie Kalajainen, Livonia OH, and Kathleen Schafer (Rich), Sylvania, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Obituary Preview: Kathy Spotts Humiston, 66, of Beech Creek, PA went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 27, 2021.  Kathy was born in Altoona, PA on June 15, 1955, to the late Lester and Helen Rudasill.  Upon graduating from Altoona Area High School, Kathy moved to the Lock Haven area and later began working in the corporate offices for the Uni-Mart corporation for nearly ten years.  Kathy began her career in insurance and investment planning when she entered into partnership with her late husband, Ron, serving hundreds of clients for nearly 40 years through R.S. Associates, a business she continued in partnership with her current husband Kevin, until her death.  Kathy was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ where she served in ministry as a secretary and more recently, Worship Minister.
She led numerous ministries during her years of service including King’s Kids and as Co-Director of Blanchard Church of Christ’s annual Easter Drama.  She passionately cared for the members of her congregation, delivering the news of the Gospel and being the Hands and Feet of Jesus.  She was an important mentor to many youths and women in the church during her more than 30 years as a member.  When she wasn’t faithfully serving her church, she loved spending time with her family most, including trips to see her grandchildren in Florida.
Kathy was a devoted, loving, caring, and selfless, wife, mother, sister, and Nanny.  Her love for her family was unmatched.  Even for those who were not her family, she treated them as such.  She will be remembered for her Christ-like love towards all those she encountered.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Spotts of Beech Creek, PA.  She is survived by her husband, Kevin Humiston, brother John Rudasill (Linda) of Altoona, PA, her son Markus Spotts (Naomi) of Boca Raton, FL, her stepson Cory Spotts (Jayne) of Mill Hall, PA, and her stepson Erich Spotts of Loganton, PA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and four step great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at the Blanchard Church of Christ on Saturday, January 1, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  Masks will be required when standing in line and when visiting with the family.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Blanchard Church of Christ on Sunday, January 2 at 2:00 PM and will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Russel Moldovan.  Masks are strongly encouraged during this service.  A private committal at the Hays-Fearon-Bossert Cemetery will be held for the family.

Obituary Preview: Blanche Arlene Rhoades Weaver Wilson, age 95 of Loganton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday morning, December 1, 2021. Blanche was born in Mount Union, PA on June 21, 1926, the youngest daughter of 9 children born to Edwin A. Rhoades, Sr. and Gertrude Beckwith Rhoades.  Blanche’s mother passed unexpectedly when she was only 5 years old and Blanche was primarily raised by her siblings, but her 3 older sisters were the most prominent role models for her. She attended school in Mount Union and several other schools in Centre County.
Blanche found the lord early in life and lived her life for her family and in service of the Church. She was an active member of churches in Rosecrans, PA and Mill Hall, PA, recognized as a knowledgeable Christian and student of the Bible. She taught Sunday School and educated many other Christians on living a life of Christianity.
She met the love of her life, Harold J. Weaver Sr., through a chance meeting at the “Texas” restaurant in Lock Haven, PA after Harold returned from WWII. They married on March 30, 1946, and lived a peaceful, humble life in Rosecrans, PA. They had 5 children. Living through The Great Depression of the early 1930’s, Blanche had an appreciation of the simple country life, survival based on little food at times, and used to boast about them eating everything on a pig except the oink! Blanche was an amazing cook, known for her homemade bread and soups! She loved her flowers and always maintained a beautiful flower garden to enjoy and remind her of God’s beauty on earth.  Blanche worked outside the home at times but was mostly a homemaker. She loved gardening and homemaking but enjoyed her family times most of all. Harold passed away January 10, 1987. On April 8, 2000 she married Ernest (Ernie) L. Wilson and they lived in Jersey Shore until his passing on April 28, 2004. She was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church in Loganton during her final years of her earthy life.
In addition to her parents and both husbands she was preceded in death by her brothers William, Russell, Edwin, Jr., Lloyd and Sanford and her sisters, Cora (Toni), Agnes, and Hazel.
She is survived by her children Stephen Weaver (Yvonne) and Harold, Jr. (Shirley) of Loganton and daughters Bonnie Vozzella (Joe) of Honey Brook, Denise Ertel (Doug) of Watsontown and Faye Vonada (Kent) of Loganton. She is also survived by her stepchildren with Ernie, Elwin (Chris) Lancaster KY, Darlene (Jim) Aberdeen, MD, Curtis (Lois) Jersey Shore, PA, Rose Friendship, NY, Mark (Michele) Sterling, VA.She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She had 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 5 great, great, grandchildren.
A funeral service honoring the life of Blanche Weaver Wilson will be held Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2 PM in the Albright United Methodist Church , Loganton, PA with Pastors Sarah Kim and Dan Christopher officiating. Born to Clara Mary Butler Vonada Burd and Hubert Ohl Vonada on June 8, 1925, in Detroit, she spent her early years in Michigan. Beverly attended kindergarten in Detroit, and later attended Gravel Point, Fairview, Boalsburg and Centre Hall elementary schools in the Centre County area. She graduated from Howard High School in 1943.
Beverly attended Jacksonville United Church of Christ with her parents. She met the love of her life, Lewis Alvin McGill, on a blind date. They were united in marriage on Aug. 9, 1947. Due to a storm, the two were married by candlelight in the Jacksonville sanctuary, which was followed by a honeymoon in Atlantic City. The two briefly lived in Lock Haven before making their home outside of Salona.
She worked at Murphys 5&10 in Bellefonte in 1942, and at Sylvania from June-Aug. 1943. From 1943-1946, she attended Lock Haven Nursing School. She entered the Nurse Cadet Corp. in 1945, expecting to go into the service. However, she was needed at Lock Haven Hospital, where she worked as a registered nurse from 1946-1975. She was a supervisor for a number of years in the OB/GYN department. After marriage, Beverly attended the Salona United Church of Christ. She was active in the church, serving on consistory, as a Decon, and as a Sunday School teacher. She also volunteered for the Red Cross.
