Obituary Preview: Mary Ellen Marley, 97, Frankfort, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Wesley Manor.  She was born December 30, 1925, in Kokomo to William Stanley and Opal (Carter) Kelsey.  She married Claude Marley on November 12, 1964. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2020.
Mary Ellen was a 1943 graduate of Crawfordsville High School.  She worked for Rost Jewelers, The Indianapolis Times, and IT&T Publishing prior to retiring in 1986. She attended Frankfort Bible Holiness Church.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a keen interest in traveling.  She enjoyed traveling to 49 states as well as to many other countries.
A resident of Lebanon for 25 years, Mary Ellen moved with her husband to Frankfort in September 2005 after having lived for 13 years in Daytona Beach, FL.  In her years as a Floridian, Mary Ellen was a member of Daytona Beach Baptist Church, where she and her husband served as directors of the Senior Citizens Young at Heart Ministry and as hosts to numerous college students whom they entertained in their home.
Mary Ellen is survived by five nieces and nephews: Becky Moffit Gillan, Paul Kelsey, Carolyn (Greg) Kelsey Smith, Michael (Julie) Stergar, and Susan (David) Stergar Sheets; and several additional nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Wilfred Kelsey; her sister, Anna Emmons; and her niece Linda Kelsey.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 12pm until the time of the service at 1pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Pastor Mark Mowery will officiate.  Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Whitestown at 3pm.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.

Harley Dupler, III - July 15, 1958 - November 06, 2023

Dupler III, 65, Lafayette, formerly of Frankfort, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023, unexpectedly at his residence.  He was born July 15, 1958 in Frankfort to Jan “Pete” and Janet Sue (Power) Dupler. Harley was a graduate of Frankfort High School.  He enjoyed spending time and the friends he made at the Marine Corps League.  He loved his many dogs throughout his life.  He loved them so much that when he finally got a cat, he named it “Dog.”
Harley is survived by his sister, Michelle “Micke” (Dupler) Ridenour along with his nephew, Brandon Ridenour.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 at 10am at Green Lawn Cemetery.  Military Rites will be provided by the Clinton County Honor Guard.  Day & Genda Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

Ellen L. Hunter - December 31, 1936 - October 30, 2023

Obituary Preview: Ellen L. Hunter, 86, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023, at her home in Frankfort. She was born December 31, 1936, in New Castle, IN, to Frank and Louise Knoll Reifel. She married William “Bill” Hunter; he preceded her in death on February 14, 1994.
Ellen graduated in 1954 from Frankfort High School and then attended beauty college in New Albany. She owned and operated her beauty shop while delivering newspapers and working in the cafeterias in the school systems and raising her family. She later worked as a healthcare giver. She loved to read, crochet coat hangers, and watch the Colts play. Most of all, Ellen loved her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren. Ellen was a member of the Community Christian Church.  She enjoyed attending a ladies breakfast club regularly.
Ellen is survived by her son, Timothy (Carol) Forlow of Logansport; daughters, Debra (Michael) Pendley of Faulkville, Alabama, Vickie (Thomas) Morton of Whiteland, and Catherine (Thomas) Tocco of Walton; sister-in-law, Janice (Virgil) Humphrey of Frankfort; grandchildren, Stephanie (Ryan) Thomas, Elizabeth (Jaime) Smith, Elizabeth (Don) Yackel, Emily (Brandon) Sparkman, Erin (Mike) Morahn, Jeff Morton, Jessica (Tom) Shields, Matthew Tocco, and Tara (Matt) Steele; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A memorial gathering will be held on November 11, 2023, from 1 to 4 pm at her home in Frankfort. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Memorials in Ellen’s name may be made to the Community Christian Church, 1944 S Jackson St, Frankfort, IN 46041.

Stanley (Stan) Crum - October 24, 1947 - October 29, 2023

Obituary Preview: Stanley Wayne Crum, 76
Stanley (Stan) W. Crum, 76 of West Lafayette, Indiana, died at his home and went to be with the Lord at 2:25 a.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2023.  He was born October 24, 1947, in Frankfort, Indiana, the son of Wayne E. and Wilma A. Robertson Crum.  On July 7, 1968, he married Nancy C. Davis; she survives.
Stan was a 1966 graduate of Clinton Central High School and moved to Tippecanoe County after high school and remained there the rest of his life.  He joined the Indiana Army National Guard in 1966 and served as a medic in the Company A 113th Medical Battalion until October of 1972.  Stan graduated from Chicago Technical College with a degree in Graphic Arts in 1967 and Purdue University in 1992 with an Associates Degree in Supervision.
Stan enjoyed traveling and could boast that he and his wife had visited all 50 states, but he especially enjoyed staying in Siesta Key for a while each winter during retirement.  He also enjoyed photography and taking videos, especially of their vacations, Crum Reunions and other family gatherings.  Other enjoyments were farming, yardwork, woodworking and being Nancy’s “fix-it” man.
Stan worked for Purdue University in several different positions, but was a project manager during his last years there.  He came in contact with projects in most buildings on campus during his 38 year career at Purdue.
He attended Evangelical Covenant Church in Lafayette.
In addition to his wife, Stan is survived by his children Renae (Craig) Kollen of Ft. Wayne and Stacy (Jeremy) Shell from Cincinnati; 6 grandchildren, Graham, Jake and Corinne Kollen and Jared, Carly and Corey Shell, two sisters, Susanne (Susie) Crum from Forest, and Jeanine (Tim) Garrison of Frankfort, brother-in-laws Larry (Becky) Davis and Eric (Gayla) Davis from Kirklin, as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Stan is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 11 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Pastor Stacey Littlefield will officiate.  Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.  Memorials in Stan’s name may be made to The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, P.O Box 414238,Boston, MA  02241-4238,  Riley Children’s Foundation, 500 N. Logan was a 2013 graduate of Clinton Central High School.  He worked as an Information Technology Consultant for Abstract Technology Group in Lafayette.  He loved his job and felt he had found his career calling there.  He enjoyed gaming, spending time with his family and friends, and was an avid cat lover.  Logan had a big heart and was very kind.  His smile could light up a room and he had a twinkle in his eye when he was happy.  His sense of humor could make you laugh and call him a brat all at the same time.  He will be missed by those that knew him.
Logan is survived by his parents, Mick (Monica) Fearnow and Wendy (Jackie Sheets) Fearnow; brother, Alex (Bryce) Adkins; step-siblings, Darcee (Cory) Collins, Brooke (Austin) Minghini, Zach Sitzes, Nicholas (Kris) Sheets, Amber (Natalie) Berkhart, Chase (Nicole) Kinsler; grandparents, several aunts and uncles, four nieces and nephews; several cousins; and his cat, Senorita.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Betty and Jerry Roberts, and Ed Fearnow; aunts and uncles; a cousin, Jake Brooks; and a cat Senor.

Larry Wayne Sherer - November 07, 1939 - October 26, 2023

Obituary Preview: Larry Wayne Sherer, 83, Frankfort, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette.  He was born November 7, 1939, in Frankfort to John and Thelma (Hinton) Sherer.  He Married Frances Harrison in 1958.  She preceded him in death in 1995.  He married L. Faye Harshman in 1996.  She preceded him in 2002.  He then married Jennifer Kirkpatrick on December 12, 2010, and she survives.
Larry was a 1957 graduate of Frankfort High School.  He then served in the United States Air Force for 20 years.  He then worked for Federal Mogul for 10 years until his retirement.  Larry was a member of the VFW Post 1110 where he served as Quarter Master for 10 years and served on military funerals.  He was also a member of the American Legion and 40 and 8. He served on the Zoning Appeals and City Planning Commission and Economic Development Boards.  He was a hardworking man and wouldn’t let things keep him from getting things done.  Even after becoming legally blind in 1989, he still found ways to continue working and being active.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, and calling in to WILO Partyline to have discussions.  He was an avid Colts and Cubs fan.  But above all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Along with his wife of 12 years, Larry is survived by his daughter, Cinda Thompson; stepchildren, Elizabeth (Gary) Stephenson, Kelli (Travis) Smith, Sharla (Mike) Taylor, Jared Kirkpatrick, Heath Scott; grandchildren, Holly (Jarvis) Lashbrook, Angela Hall, Catherine Hall, Richard W. Hall, Gabriel Scott, Chase Scott, Baylie Weatherford, and Madyson Smith; and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first and second wives; daughter, Kimberly Sue Sherer; and a brother, Robert Sherer; and two great grandchildren.

Steven "Shagg" Matthew Brewer - December 02, 1963 - October 21, 2023

Obituary Preview: Steven “Shagg” Matthew Brewer, 59, Frankfort, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born December 2, 1963, in Frankfort to Robert and Barbara (Stowers) Brewer.  He married Melissa “Missie” Eads on August 29, 2008, and she survives.
Steve attended Clinton Prairie High School.  He worked for Federal Mogul and Tenneco for 38 years until his retirement in 2022.  He attended The Vine Community Church in Kokomo where he loved worshipping and deepening his relationship with God.  He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, fishing, camping, working on model airplanes, riding ATV’s and boating, and listening to classic rock music, especially Lynyrd Skynyrd “Free Bird.”  Steve would brighten a room when he walked in with his fun-loving attitude and his comfortable personality.  He was a dependable man that was always there for those that needed him.  He loved his dog, but more than that he loved his family, and loved making memories with them.
Along with his wife of 15 years, Steve is survived by his children, Matt (Mary) Brewer and Patti (Nathan) Brewer; stepchildren, Kaleb (Amber) McKee, Stephani Mathis, Patrick McKee; sisters, Robin (Jeffrey) Beumel, Penny (Greg) Boots, Sandra (Frank) Waible; grandchildren 17; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held, 2-5pm, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at The Vine Community Church, 2419 N. Aders, 77, Frankfort, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 19, 2023.  Martha was born November 10, 1945, in Spencer, IN to Raymond F. and Lillie (Ward) Winter.  She married Larry J. Lewis in December of 1962.  They divorced in 1980.  He passed in 1997.  She married Ed Richardson, July of 1982.  He preceded her in death in January of 1990.  She then married Coy “Spank” Aders in July of 1992.  He preceded her in death in September of 2010.
Martha was a 1963 graduate of Frankfort High School.  She worked at Delphi Automotive and retired after 30 years.  She then worked at the American Legion Post #12 and retired after 20 years.  She was a member of First Christian Church in Frankfort, was an American Legion Auxiliary lifetime member, the Frankfort Moose for over 40 years, Frankfort Eagles Lodge, and the VFW.  She enjoyed fishing, gambling, playing cards, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, John Bradley (Bridget) Lewis, Brian (Carlene) Lewis, Michelle (Gerry Bright) Jarman; companion, John O’Brien; stepsons, Larry and Stephen Richardson; stepdaughter, Cathy Wills; siblings, Shelby Branstetter, Mary Wiebers, Raymond “Junior” (Susie) Winter, David (Barb) Winter, Wesley (Wilma) Winter, Josh Winter, and Linda Walker; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Along with her husbands, Martha is preceded in death by her parents, stepson, Trevor Aders; brother, Vincent Winter; stepmother, Thelma Winter; brothers-in-law, Robert Branstetter, Sr. and Jacob Wiebers; and grandchildren, Sasha Hettich and Evin Jarman.

Surviving Jean are her two nieces, Brook Ellen Blevins and Christy Jean Anderson, and nephew, Randall Robert Myers, both of Virginia; and very special friends, Mark Genda, Rita Betts, and Cheri Sheldon, all of Frankfort.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Harold Myers.

Allen on February 5, 1946.  He preceded her in death.
Dolly is survived by her daughters, Starlin (Fred) Myers and Karen (Juan) Ruiz; grandchildren, Shane Myers, Felicia Dale, Traci Ellis, Kari Brown, Lisa Harrison, Toshua Ruiz and 20 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren, and 2 great great great grandchildren.

Wesley "Wes" A. Scott - January 29, 1937 - October 15, 2023

Scott, 86, of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023, at IU Health Methodist Hospital.  He was born January 29, 1937, in Clinton County to Ivory Warren and Leona Marie (Johnson) Scott.  He married Constance Moudy in 1955.  She preceded him in death in 1993.  He then married Shirley (Howsen) Wells, Oct. 28, 1995, and she survives.
Wes was a 1955 graduate of Frankfort High School.  He worked as a supervisor for Sun Chemical until his retirement in 1999.  He attended Scotland Christian Church and was a member of Eagles Lodge #976, Moose Lodge #7, and the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries.  He was active in all sports, and played fast pitch softball for Roush Trucking, and enjoyed raccoon hunting, fishing, bird watching, and gardening.  He loved his family and loved making memories with his wife, children, and grandchildren.  Wes enjoyed life and always had a smile on his face and a cheerful attitude.
Along with his wife of 27 years, Wes is survived by his children, Andy (Debbie) Scott and Pamela (Mike) Reeder; stepdaughter, Sandy (Ed Cottrell) Wells; daughter-in-law, Darlene Scott; stepdaughter-in-law, Vicki Wells siblings, Bonnie Wade, Richard (Cathy) Scott, and Marvin (Anna) Scott;; 11 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren.

Philip "Phil" Gordon Wessel, Sr. - November 16, 1948 - October 12, 2023

Obituary Preview: Philip “Phil” Gordon Wessel, Sr., 74, Frankfort, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.  He was born November 16, 1948, in Frankfort to Arthur and Veca (Camp) Wessell.  He married Sandra “Sandy” Boothroyd on July 7, 1992, and she survives.
Phil served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Phil worked at Federal Mogul for 32 years until he retired in 2010.  He was a lifetime member of the DAV and the UAW.  Phil was a fun-loving man with a great sense of humor and a love of life.  He enjoyed being outdoors, swimming, fishing, camping, having cookouts, and cooking the Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for the family.  He was an animal lover and cared deeply for his dogs, but his biggest passion was his family, whom he loved dearly and loved making memories and spending time with.
Along with his wife of 31 years, Phil is survived by his children, Brandan Wessel, Jessica (Wessel) Hackett, Phil Wessel, Jr., Joey (Sheena) Boothroyd, Sebert (Vanessa) Swimm; 19 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Billy Boothroyd, Jr.; 13 siblings; and three dogs, Angel, Riley, and Diesel.

Maria was born June 16, 1958, in Michoacan, Mexico, to Jose Sandoval and Gozo Alanis.  She married Roberto Mora in Mexico, and he survives.
Maria was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved spending time and taking care of her grandkids.
Along with her husband, Roberto, Maria is survived by their children, Benjamin Mora (Irene Valdez), Maria G. Mora (Pedro Juarez), Reyna Mora (Alfredo Xique), Jose B. Mora, and Antonio Mora (Anahi Santillan); grandchildren, Luis Eduardo, Jonathan, and Brandon Camacho, Nicolas, Randy, Arizbeth, Dilan, Annie & Tadeo Mora; siblings, and Isabel and Carmela Sandoval and Roberto and Rosabel Sandoval.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two grandsons, Jovanni Camacho and Erandy Mora.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  A funeral service will be Friday, October 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 600 St. Mary’s Avenue, Frankfort, with Father Paul Cochran officiating.  Burial will in Bunnell Cemetery.  The family asks that memorials be given to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

Obituary Preview: Ronald D. Ross, formerly of Frankfort, passed away on October 6, 2023, after an extended illness. He was born on October 3, 1946, to the late Charlie and Phyllis (Price) Ross. Ronald was a 1964 Frankfort High School graduate. He had many jobs in Frankfort before making the decision to move to Oregon. He later moved to Yuma, Arizona, and eventually settled in Mesa, Arizona where he became an LPN and later retired. He enjoyed traveling to different states and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children Robyn Ryan, Charlene (Rob) Lomax, Patrick Ross, and Ronnie Ross. Also surviving are a sister, Jacque Hoskins and brother Mark (Jean) Ross, as well as 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ronald was also preceded in death by his brothers, Phil Ross, Bill Ross and John Ross.
A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held on Saturday October 14, 2023, in the back room of the VFW #1110 309 N. Main St. Frankfort, Indiana from 3-6pm. Guests can enter through the back door of the VFW. Day & Genda Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.

Steven Ray Houze, 65, of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his home. He was born June 1, 1958, in Clinton County, Indiana. He was the son of Donald Houze and Anjel (Hurt) Fickle. He married Angela; she preceded him in death.
Steven served in the Army where he was honorably discharged. He had worked for Burger King in Tennessee before moving to Frankfort. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outside, and working with his hands. Steven never met a stranger and was always helping older people and lending a hand when needed.
He is survived by his son, Steven Houze, Jr of Lafayette; daughter, Ruby Marie Houze of Kokomo; and siblings, Richard Houze of Linden, David (Kelley) Houze of Simpsonville, SC, Mark (Bonnie) Houze of Frankfort, John Fickle of Frankfort, Betty Fickle of Paoli, and Grover Fickle of Jefferson.
In addition to his parents and wife, Steven is preceded in death by a sister, Vicky Crick.

Charles "Chuck" C. Toney, Jr. - May 27, 1946 - September 18, 2023

Obituary Preview: Charles C. Toney, Jr., 77, lifelong Frankfort resident, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, surrounded by his family, at Creasy Springs Health Care in Lafayette following a brief illness.
Chuck was born May 27, 1946, to Charles Clement and Bonnie Jean (Eikenberry) Toney.  He graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1965.
On December 26, 1966, Chuck married his high school sweetheart, Donna L. Porter.  During their 56 years of marriage, they were blessed with two wonderful children, Thomas and Nikki.
In March 1966, Chuck enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving as a Sargeant with the 390th MMS during the Vietnam War.  He was honorably discharged in January 1970.  Chuck was then hired by the City of Frankfort where he dedicated 32 years of service to the Frankfort Fire Department and served as Fire Chief from January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2003.  Upon his retirement, Chuck and Donna sold their home and became full-time RVers, living in a 38’ diesel pusher.
Surviving Chuck are his wife, Donna; son, Thomas Charles (Pamela) Toney; daughter, Nikki Lou (Terry) Fouse; twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Norma Jean Disinger and Carolyn White; brothers, James Michael, Charles Phillip Toney, and Jerry Toney; brothers-in-law, Dick (Judy) Porter, Tim (Lucy) Porter, Pete (Judy) Porter, and Brett Porter; and sisters-in-law, Linda (James) Michael, Lori (Gary) McCarty, and Mary (Gary) McCoy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Danny Michael and Elvis Toney; and a great grandchild, Maverick Faulkner.

Keith is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Patricia Ann Stein; son, Raymond, (Katie) Marsh; brother, Charles Marsh of New Jersy; granddaughters, Trinity and Kendal Stein; grandsons, Gavin and Lucas Stein; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Keith is preceded in death by a brother, Allen Marsh.

Obituary Preview: Sarah Margaret Porter, of Westfield and formerly of Frankfort, died peacefully at home on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
She was born November 16, 1959, in Burlington, Vermont, the daughter of Robert and Margaret Bracken.
Sarah grew up in Frankfort, Indiana, and graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1978. She continued her education at Ivy Tech where she received her Medical Assistant Certification. After spending many years working in the clinical setting, Sarah became the friendly face of Frankfort Middle School. She spent many summers coaching the “8 and under” of the Frankfort Swim Club. Additionally, she coached coed swimming, diving, and girls’ basketball. Sarah spent many years developing and creating middle school yearbooks, as well as many hours planning middle school social events. She continued in this position for 25 years before she retired as the long-time school treasurer and administrative assistant to the principal and vice principal.
On October 6, 1979, she married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Brett W. Porter. Megan completed their family on April 2, 1981. On January 9, 2010, she received the amazing and delicate gift of a pancreas transplant. After a lifetime of Type I Diabetes since the age of 4, she was no longer dependent upon insulin.
Following her 2016 retirement, Brett and Sarah relocated to Westfield, Indiana where they built their first home together. In 2021 Sarah connected with her biological family through a DNA test. While some reconnections have a level of worry regarding compatibility, Sarah’s connection with her biological family was instantaneous. The DeLancey Family had always held space for Sarah, and the new connection was full of unconditional love and acceptance.
Sarah enjoyed spending time creating crafts of many kinds, sewing, flower arranging, and decorating. She was the “Jill” of all creative ideas. She loved to bake and was known for making “big bottom” cakes for anyone who felt like celebrating. Sarah’s home was always open for entertaining and hosting friends and neighbors. She enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas and had an affinity for slot machines. She loved gardening and always had beautiful flowers surrounding her home during all four seasons. She loved the water and was the neighborhood swim instructor. Sarah loved animals, especially her K9 babies, Gus and Gertie, and her grand pups, Birdie and Palma. Sarah affectionately called herself “Nana” to these fur babies.
Surviving Sarah is her husband of 44 years, Brett Porter of Westfield, her daughter Megan Porter of Indianapolis, her brother Robert Bracken (George) of Palm Springs, California; her Uncle Jerry DeLancey (Claire) of Castleton, Vermont; ln-Laws Chuck Toney (Donna) of Frankfort, Tim Porter (Lucy) of Burlington, IN,  Jim Michael (Linda) Frankfort, Pete Porter (Judy) Frankfort, Gary McCarty (Lori) Frankfort, Gary McCoy (Mary) Morristown, IN and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by both parents.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at 51 West located at 51 West Clinton Street, Frankfort, Indiana, 46041 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. There will be a short service at 2:00 p.m. followed by a mix-and-mingle to celebrate the beautiful life of Sarah. Day & Genda Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangments. Obituary Preview: Larry Thomas Williams, 73, Frankfort, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born October 26, 1949, in Eau Claire, WI to Lloyd and Marilyn Williams.  He married Jean Badger on June 10, 1972, in Frankfort and she survives.
Larry was a 1967 graduate from Madison (IN) High School and then served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1973.  During his time in the Navy, he served on the USS Independence CVA-62 as a Catapult Specialist (#1) which is considered one of the more dangerous jobs on a Navy warship.  Larry had fond memories of being a sailor and would like to recognize his Navy brothers Tony Lema, Ray Monohan, Tim Park, and Steve Salerno for their lifelong friendship.  He worked for ALCOA in Lafayette for 36 years as a press operator and retired in 2009. He was a member of Faith Church in Lafayette. In his spare time he enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Indiana Hoosiers, and St. Louis Cardinals, along with spending evenings on his front porch and cooking dinner for his family.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and worked hard to provide for his family.
Along with his wife of 51 years, Larry is survived by his children, Jenny (Mark) Robbins of Lafayette, Jason Williams of Frankfort, Jeff (Shari) Williams of Frankfort and Janelle (Craig) Demaree of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Cameron and Carleigh Williams, Grant and Alexis Demaree, and Olivia Robbins; brother, Dave Williams of Frankfort; and sister, Denise (Rob) Middleton of Hemet, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Parker William Demaree; and sister, Linda Dow.

Evelyn graduated in 1955 from Frankfort High School. She had worked as a childcare provider for many years. Evelyn also worked at P.R. Mallory, Unielectric, Essex Wire, and for the Frankfort Community Schools in the cafeteria. She faithfully attended New Life in Christ Ministries where she enjoyed being a part of the Virtuous Women and the Vessels of Honor Christian women’s meetings. She loved to read but really enjoyed singing Gospel and Christian songs with her niece, Sandra. Most of all, Evelyn loved her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Kyle (Robin) Leslie, grandchildren, Amy (Matt) Sisco, Jamie Kei Evans, Dustin (Kati) Leslie, Jimmy Ken Leslie, Jesse (Courtney) Leslie, and Joshua Leslie; great grandchildren, Abigail Evelyn Colby, Wyatt Colby, Kai ea Morton, Kamalani Morton, Kahakuloa Morton, Nellie Leslie, Hattie Leslie, Charlize Leslie, Addison Leslie, Katelyn Bray, Jaden Colby, Levi Sisco and Savannah Sisco; and a niece, Sandra C. Catron.

Randy served in the Unites States Marine Corp from 1976-1980.  Upon his return, he completed his GED at Rossville High School in 1985.  He worked for several years at Exide Battery, and then at several other factories until he retired.  Randy enjoyed being outdoors, having cookouts, fishing, and camping.  He was an avid animal lover.  Above all, he loved being with his family and making memories.  From Karaoke and listening to the “hip” music with his grandkids to conversations about movies and old cartoons and three stooges with his nephew; Randy loved checking in and spending time with his family.
Along with his father, Randy is survived by his children, Shaun (Miranda) Miller and Aimee (Jeremy) Coleman; brother, Richard (Karen) Miller; sister, Kim Pettit; grandchildren, Kelsea Miller and Kylie Coleman; stepfather, Larry Siders; a special nephew, Dan “DJ” Dunk; and the mother of his children, Mary Greeno.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Connie Sue Miller. Maria is survived by her children, Nick (Teresa) Stone, Debbie (Jeff) Rashid, and Cathy (Tom) Ernstberger; siblings, Tony, Tom, John, Jesus, Delores, Lupe, and Liz; grandchildren, Brittany, Brian, Whitney, Alec, and Jessica; and great grandchildren, Tanner, Tucker, and Arianna.

He worked several jobs through the years including The Bureau of Motor Vehicles and as a Customer Service Representative for Elevence Health.  He attended the Frankfort First Church of the Nazarene.  He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, grilling out, watching football, and watching movies.  He was a fun-loving guy with a great sense of humor, and was kind and soft spoken, which got him the nickname the “Gentle Giant.”  He was a wonderful husband, father, loved his family and enjoyed making memories and spending time with them.
Along with his wife of 4 years, Jared is survived by his mother; children, Kara and Kieson Hensley; siblings, Season Hensley, Jeremy (Jennifer) Hensley, Shannon Hensley, and Jordan Hensley; brother-in-law, Timothy Adedoyin; and paternal grandmother, Barbara Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Kenneth and Evelyn Sanders, and Fred Hensley.

Robert "Bob" Eugene Siler - March 07, 1934 - August 29, 2023

Obituary Preview: Robert Eugene “Bob” Siler, 89, Frankfort, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at IU Heath Hospital in Frankfort surrounded by his family as they sang him into heaven.  He was born on March 7, 1934, in Columbus, OH to Fred Siler and Myrtle (Watkins) Bauges.  He married Shirley Pursifull-Droke on July 30, 1976, in Lafayette and she survives.
Bob served in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1951-1955.  He worked for Ross Gear, TRW in Lafayette for 42 years.  He was a member of the Frankfort First Church of the Nazarene where he served on the church board, was in the choir, and served as an assistant custodian since 1996 to 2008, and a member of the NRA.  He enjoyed gardening, taking vacations, taking videos and pictures while on vacation, reading his books and magazines.  He was the best papaw one could ask for and loved his grandkids well.  He was a loving father and husband and exemplified gentleness, patience and a joyful spirit.
Along with his wife of 47 years, Bob is survived by his children, David (Linda) Siler, Brian (Lori) Siler, Darrell (Peggy) Droke and Tammy (Mark) Allen; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Scott Siler; brother, Kenny Siler and sisters, Judith South and Phyllis Turner.
