Cathy was born on February 19, 1945 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Vernon D. and Marie C. (Flammini) Rude. She married James M. Keen on August 26, 1962. Cathy worked at the State Bank of Blue Mound and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Cathy is survived by her children: Gregory J. Keen (Tracy) of Chatham, IL, Tina M. Kelley (Jerry) of Melbourne, FL and Paul D. Keen (Angie Crawley) of Decatur, IL; brother: Bill Rude (Donna) of Olney, IL; grandchildren: Daniel Kelley (Kristin), Drew Kelley, Sarah Keen (Travis Harrah), Emily M. Keen, Mai Keen and Tayler Waud; great grandchildren: Kenzie, Dane and Zander; several nieces and nephews.

Jessie was born November 27, 1932, in Olean, Missouri the daughter of Raymond and Cora (Dillman) Kimler. She married Roy White on July 4, 1959. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2005. Jessie had retired from the State of Illinois. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, and working in her yard. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan and enjoyed drinking Pepsi-Cola.
Surviving are her children: Ronald D. White, Eric E. White, and Kristine K. White all of Taylorville, IL; grandchildren: Morgan Valenti (Colin), Luke Bucher, Amelia White, Kaden White and Kaitlyn White; great-granddaughter: Vanna Valenti.

Pete was born December 1, 1934, in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Arthur B. and Margaret E. (Roach) Gilson. Pete married Joyce Rudin in Springfield. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Reserve during the Korean War. Pete retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad after 43 years. He was a member of the Meridian Community Church of God and enjoyed golf, running and spending time with family and friends.
Pete is survived by his children Sandra Byard (Matt Edwards) and Arthur B. “Pete” (Annette) Gilson III, brother John Gilson, sisters Peggy (Jim) Blakely and Teena (Ron) Jockisch, grandchildren Nicole Byard, Drake Byard, Natalie (Will) Gibson, Macaela Gilson, Hannah (Brent) Headrick, and Lydia Gilson, and great-grandchildren Nora and Hazel Byard, Gabriella Holder, Maggie and Wilder Gibson as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister Nancy Gillespie.
Memorial services to celebrate Pete’s life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Blue Mound. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial at a later date will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Springfield. Memorials are suggested to the Meridian Community Church of God.

Erma was born on November 1, 1928 in Macon, IL, the daughter of James W. and Lola Mae (Eckhardt) Moma. Erma was the 1946 Valedictorian at Blue Mound High School. She received a scholarship and attended Illinois State Normal University. She married Neil Scott Noland on March 3, 1950 in Bloomington, IL. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2013. Erma was a devoted farmwife, homemaker, member of First Christian Church of Blue Mound and Order of Eastern Star. She was the former president of Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was a Macon County Rural Youth Queen, an Abraham Lincoln enthusiast and enjoyed wintering in Florida.
Erma is survived by her children: Dianne Noland Negangard (Dave) of St. Joseph, IL, Duane Noland (Tina) of Blue Mound, IL and Dennis Noland (Dani) of Blue Mound, IL; grandchildren: Grant Noland (Logan) of Decatur, IL, Blake Noland (Kristin) of Decatur, IL, Victoria Shugart (Matthew) of Decatur, IL and Drew Negangard (fiancé, Jessica Reid) of Angora, MN; great grandchildren: Hudson Noland, Elizabeth Noland, Harrison Noland, Bryce Shugart, Lyla Noland, June Noland and Mack Noland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: David F. Noland, brothers: James Moma, Jr., John A. Moma and Lloyd Moma; sisters: Lois Jean Kestner and Mary Lou Willhite.

Devona was born on January 28, 1931 in Orchardville, IL, the daughter of George B. and Freda (Ellis) Harrell. She married Dean C. Dummermuth on July 7, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2007. Devona was a devoted farmwife and a faithful member of Zion Chapel United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Card Club, Macon County Farm Bureau Prime Timers and the Macon County Lady Land Owners. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing and quilting.

Morris was born on August 21, 1946 in Ramsey, IL, the son of Herman Washburn, Jr. and Pauline (Brown) Washburn. He married Brenda Sue German on May 19, 1989. Morris retired as a millwright for Caterpillar Inc. after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Stonington Masonic Lodge and was the co-founder of Early Idlers.
Morris is survived by his wife: Brenda Sue Washburn of Blue Mound, IL; son: Todd (Marla) Washburn of Blue Mound, IL; step-children: Richard (Julie) Whitehead of Taylorville, IL, Shane (Carla) Whitehead of Pana, IL and Tammie (Rob) Ruwe of Pana, IL; sister: Kathy Washburn of Utah; grandchildren: Logan (Ashley) Washburn of Mt. Betty was born April 13, 1923, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of LeRoy and Mina (McCluskey) Crow. She was a devoted homemaker and farm wife. Betty was a member of the First Christian Church of Blue Mound, Eastern Star, and the China Club. She served on the library board and volunteered at the grade school. Betty enjoyed reading, gardening, and being on the farm. She married Fae L. Bafford on October 11, 1943. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1994.
Betty is survived by her children Cathy Rice, Greg (Sharon) Bafford, Kevin (Brenda) Bafford, and Denise Whiteman, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Phillip Mark Bafford.
Services to celebrate Betty’s life will be 11:00 AM Monday, July 10, 2023, at the First Christian Church of Blue Mound, 100 S. Lewis St., with Rev. Dr. Ellen Moma officiating. Bonnie was born October 14, 1946, in Taylorville, Illinois, the daughter of Lawrence and Theodus (Beard) Lee. She retired from Taylorville Hospital with over thirty-eight years of service. Bonnie enjoyed collecting sunflowers and bells, playing the slots, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She attended the Stonington Baptist Church. Bonnie married Billy Sunderland Sr. on November 1, 1963. He preceded her in death in 2002.
Bonnie is survived by her sons Billy Sunderland Jr. and wife Brenda and Alan Sunderland and wife Sherri, and several loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, one brother, and one grandson.
Services to Celebrate Bonnie’s life will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Blue Mound. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Burial to follow in Hall Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation. The family requests casual attire.

Don was born on January 29, 1957 in Springfield, IL, the son of Robert E. and June (Barker) Rogers. He married Patty J. Kapper on December 4, 1976. Don worked as a maintenance supervisor for Borden Chemicals & Plastics/Formosa Plastics for 27 years, owner/operator of Rogers Services from 2007-2014, he served as the street & sewer superintendent for the Village of Illiopolis from 2010-2016 and maintenance mechanic II for Tate & Lyle/Primient for the last 5 years.
Don was a member of Remnant Church in Blue Mound. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, muscle cars, racing his #5 car in Macon and Springfield, food and cooking. He was known for his world’s best biscuits & gravy. Don was a collector and purveyor of “goods”. Don’s biggest prize possessions were his grandchildren.
Don is survived by his wife: Patty J. Rogers of Illiopolis, IL; father: Robert E. Rogers of Taylorville, IL; children: Mandy (Nick) Cozby of Pacific, MO and Cody (Shyla) Rogers of Taylorville, IL; siblings: Mike (Belinda) Rogers of Illiopolis, IL, Sharon (Fred) Phillips of Riverton, IL, Karen Jackson of Illiopolis, IL, Brenda Heimlich of Chatham, IL, John (Christy) Rogers of Mt. Goldie was born on March 1, 1935 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Roscoe and Mary (White) Cook. She married Lemuel “Pat” Kitchens on November 15, 1952. He preceded her in death June 11, 1999. Goldie was a rural mail carrier for 22 years in Blue Mound and Macon. She also had worked as a waitress at the Myers House in Blue Mound in her younger years. She was a member of the Blue Mound First Christian Church for over 60 years. She was also a member of the Bunco Club, Birthday Club, Red Hat and Rebekah Lodge.
Goldie is survived by her children: Danny (Renae) Kitchens of Blue Mound, IL, Carmen (Bill) Ditty of Mt. Zion, IL, Russell (Judy) Kitchens of Blue Mound, IL, Kevin (Teri) Kitchens of Blue Mound, IL and Roscoe (Kathy Powless) Kitchens of Blue Mound, IL; grandchildren: Christopher (Dedee) Northway, Aron (Nicole) Kitchens, Denny Kitchens, Emily Kitchens, Brent Harrell, Molly (Jimmy) Lynch, Allie (Rico) Wilder, Brandon Kitchens and Alaina (Seth) Kramer; great grandchildren: Raven Richardson, Mikayla Kitchens, Katherine Kitchens, A.J. Jay was born on December 14, 1947 in Decatur, IL, the son of Charles William “C.W.” Brown and Delores “Dee” (Brown) Carls. He married Jean Boggs on June 8, 1969.
Jay is survived by his wife: Jean Brown of Blue Mound, IL; daughters: Lori (Brad) Horn of Rosenberg, TX, Lana (Tim) Casica of Little Elm, TX and Jackie (Andy) Wieduwilt of Bloomington, IL; brother: Kim S. (Janet Gaither) Brown of Ft. Myers, FL; and sister: Teresa (Greg) Phillips of Ft. Myers, FL. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Alicia Casica, Amanda Casica, Jarrett Wieduwilt, and Makayla Wieduwilt.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant daughter, Sandi Brown.
Jay graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree along with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. After school, he moved his family to Nebraska to join and later start his own large animal practice in Hayes Center. After 8 years, Jay returned to the University of Illinois as a professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine before working for Merial in St. Louis. After retirement from Merial, he started his own company, developing technology for Veterinary clinics around the country.
Jay was an avid sports enthusiast. His passion started as a young athlete playing baseball and basketball in high school. He continued his love for sports playing fastpitch and slow pitch softball into his thirties. As his girls grew up, his focus switched to coaching each in softball and basketball. Finally, he traveled across the country as much as possible to watch his four grandchildren play. You could often find (and hear) him behind home plate or at center court.

Mark was born on March 2, 1954 in Decatur, IL, the son of Boyd and Mary Ann (Stanley) Trimble. He married Teresa R. Martin on May 7, 1998. Mark served was a volunteer for the Blue Mound Fire Department for 15 years and also served on the Blue Mound Township for 12 years, 4 of which he was the road commissioner. He drove semis and farmed and also enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Mark is survived by his wife: Teresa R. Trimble of Boody, IL; children: Cindy Hobson of Austin, TX, Troy (Carly) Trimble of Taylorville, IL and Tenneil (Stephen) Pearson of Taylorville, IL; brother: David Trimble of Blue Mound, IL; sister: Renae (Danny) Kitchens of Blue Mound, IL; grandchildren: Amanda Fluker, Lance (Kaylyn) Miller, Blake Trimble, Dylan Tipsword, Andrew (Jessie) Pearson, Spencer Trimble, Lydia Pearson, Izzy Pearson, Ellie Ager and CJ Ager; great grandsons: Ryder Pearson and Jacob Tipsword; one niece, one nephew and many cousins.

Pat was born on July 3, 1928 in Deland, IL, the daughter of Hubert and Edna (Benson) Wilson. She married George A. Meisenhelter on September 9, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1966. She later married Robert Campbell on May 18, 1991. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2004. Pat was a proud farm wife, owner of Mayview Café in Boody and a realtor for Brinkoetter Realtors.
Pat was a former member of Zion Chapel UMC. She enjoyed traveling, wintering in Florida, hosting parties and dinners, golfing, playing cards, gardening, floral arranging, having a good time with her many friends and family. What Pat enjoyed the most was her wine.
Pat is survived by her children: Jane (Steve) Griffin of Wills Point, TX, Sue Howland of Macon, IL, George Meisenhelter of Blue Mound, IL and Cathy (Tom) Baba of Spring Grove, IL; step-daughter: Cathi (Buddy) Ooton on Plano, TX; sister: Mary (Joe) Kester of Decatur, IL; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Carrol was born on November 4, 1927 in Macon County, IL, the son of Harley E. Virt, Sr. and Ethel (Hopkins) Virt. Carrol proudly served in the United States Navy at the end of WWII and during the Korean Conflict. He married Rea Dell Boggs on August 6, 1950. Carrol retired in 1990 from Mueller Co. after 37 years of service. He was an active member of Zion Chapel United Methodist Church and V.F.W. Post 99. Carrol and Rea enjoyed being a part of the Boody Card Club for 56 years.

Carol grew up in Blue Mound and moved to Stonington with Donald and later moved to Taylorville with her daughter Pam. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Carol is survived by her daughters: Pamela (Mark) Vaughn of Taylorville, IL and Christine Coleman of Summerville, SC; grandchildren: Ryen Wilhour of Greer, SC, Trevor Vaughn and Allyson Vaughn both of Taylorville, IL; great grandchild: Tristen Wilhour of Greer, SC.

Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Doris was also a dedicated funeral assistant for Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Homes for many years.
Doris was a member of Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Mt. Auburn Picnic Association, Mt. Auburn Community Building and the Red Hats Glitzy Chicks. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts.
