He was athletic, playing in the Kingston city league through high school. He was very skilled with computers often times either building or fixing them. James loved all of his family, especially his two girls, Makayla and Sophie. Most importantly James professed to having been saved at a young age. He is preceded in death by his great grandparents: Gertrude “Mamaw” & Elbert Snow and Mildred Roberts One great uncle: Kenny Snow And one great aunt: Helen Schubert He is survived by his two daughters: Makayla and Sophia Roberts His grandparents: Wanda and Ronnie Roberts His father: Ronald Roberts Four brothers: Daniel Roberts, Tyler, Cody and Peyton Edwards Three sisters: Amanda Rose, Elaine and Rose Roberts A cousin who was more like a sister: Michaela Meadows Aunt and Uncle: Elaine and Michael Meadows

Pisgah Baptist Church from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with Bro. Donnie Harvey and Bro. Josh Kidd officiating. Immediately following the funeral service, the graveside service will be held in the Old Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery adjacent to the church. Obituary Preview: Mrs. Helen P. Mize, age 81, passed away peacefully Friday April 15, 2022, at Roane Medical Center in Harriman.  Helen was born on November 22, 1940, in Morgan County, Tennessee.
Helen loved spending time with her boys – whether it was at the lake fishing, cooking one of her favorite meals or cheering them on at the races.  She was also an avid gardener and loved to use the fresh vegetables from her garden to make canned goods for friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Arnold & Sophronia Potter.
And her loving dogs whom she considered pals: Misty and Dazee.
She is survived by husband: J.D. Mize.
Two sons: Scott & Kim of Franklin, and Jeff & Cindy of Harriman.
Four grandchildren: Kelsey Gentry (Christian) of Fort Worth, TX, Caitlin Mize (Doyce of Tulia, TX, Peyton Mize of Columbia, TN, and Baylee Mize of Harriman.
Three great-grandchildren: Lillian, Colt and Ava.
Two sisters: Hazel Dixon of Crossville and Bessie James of Harriman.
On brother: Ralph Potter of Crossville.

David Ronald Armes - January 26, 1949 - March 03, 2022

Obituary Preview: David Ronald “Ronnie” Armes, son of Pete and Imogene Freels Armes passed away on March 3, 2022, at the age of 73.  A U.S. Marine Veteran who served two tours in Vietnam where he received three Purple Hearts during the conduct of over a dozen combat operations.
After his military duties, he bought, operated and later sold The Brewery in Kingston before working temporarily for a cross country trucking company.  Upon completion of his college studies, he worked in the hospital engineering and maintenance field as the Director of Plant Operations at Southwestern General Hospital in El Paso, Texas, Director of Engineering at Park West Hospital in Knoxville, and Department Head for Engineering and Planning at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville.
Upon his retirement and prior to his deteriorating health, he was active in the Vietnam Veterans of America’s Smokey Mountain Chapter and a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Disabled American Veterans.
Visitation will begin at Davis Funeral in Harriman on Tuesday March 8, 2022, at 1:00pm, faith services led by Brother Buster Armes at 2:00pm, and graveside Military Burial Honors at Roane County Memorial Gardens at 3:00pm.

Dorothy Lee Adcox - August 17, 1942 - February 24, 2022

Obituary Preview: Dorothy Lee Lemons Adcox, age 79, of Harriman, passed away on February 24, 2022, and is now resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was born on August 17, 1942, to Paul Arch Lemons and Pauline Jackson Lemons. Dorothy was a long time member of Emory Gap Missionary Baptist Church. She was raised there and when she met her future husband, they went to church there for their dates. Throughout her life, Emory Gap was a major part of who she was. She served as a Sunday School Teacher, worked with Vacation Bible School, helped direct Christmas plays, and played the piano. She served as a deacon’s wife and was always a Godly wife and Mother. She truly loved her children, but she had an even stronger love for her grandson, Austin. Anyone that knew her, knew that.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Pauline Lemons. Two Brothers: James and Charles Lemons
And one Sister: Wanda Raymond.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years: Ralph Adcox.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Clarence E. Langley.
Daughter: P. Kay Langley.
Grandson: Michael Wm, Lewis.
Parents: Preacher Mark & Delta Mayton Scarbrough.
Brothers: Gene, Bill, and Paul Scabrough.
Sister: Peggy Johnson.
She is survived by her two daughters & sons-in-law: Freda & Bob Bennett, and Sharon & Steve McBay.
