Obituary Preview: William "Bill" Victor Onorato, Sr. passed away peacefully on April 29th, 2024, at his home in Springfield, PA. He was 88 years old.
Born on August 24th, 1935, in Clifton Heights, Bill was the beloved son of Caroline (nee Rich) and William Onorato. He attended St. Charles Elementary School and West Catholic High School, where he excelled in football and baseball. Even in his formative years, Bill demonstrated a strong work ethic, managing his own paper route. Upon graduating from high school, Bill joined the Army, serving in the Army Security Agency. He received specialized training in cryptanalysis, the science of breaking codes and ciphers. Stationed in Tokyo, he kept a close eye on Russian submarines and decrypted their communications to gather intelligence. Bill also earned a Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge and had some wild times playing beach football with an octopus!
Returning to the United States, Bill pursued further education at Pennsylvania Military College, where he balanced his studies with various odd jobs to finance his education. This laid the groundwork for a successful career in banking, where he rose to become Controller and Senior Vice President at Continental Bank.
Beyond his work, Bill loved games of all kinds. Whether it was Apples to Apples after Thanksgiving dinner or Pinochle on Tuesday nights, he was always up for a game and some laughs. A die-hard Philadelphia sports fan, he never missed a Phillies game, with Tom McCarthy, LA, and Kruk providing the soundtrack to summers in the Onorato household. Bill stayed active in sports throughout his life, including stints with the Hillside Nursery and Stegmaier softball teams in Clifton Heights, as well as a senior softball league in Aston that he continued to enjoy well into his 70s.
Above all, Bill treasured the moments he shared with his family, who will all carry his memory close to their hearts. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith A. (nee Cox); his children, William V., Jr. (Joelle) and Karen C. Onorato (Mario Zucca); his grandchildren, Anthony and Olivia; and his granddogs, Pepper and Rocco.

Departed: 04/18/2024 (Broomall)
Obituary Preview: Karl F. Pomeroy, Sr., 86, of Malvern, PA died peacefully and went home to rest with the Lord on April 18, 2024. Karl was known by all for always being full of life. His smile, sense of humor and the genuine kindness that he showed to others were evident even in his last hours.
Karl was born on December 18, 1937 Lewiston, Maine to parents Arlene Currier Pomeroy and the Honorable Charles A. Pomeroy. Raised in Portland, Maine, Karl graduated from Deering High School and attended Upsala College. As a young man, Karl landed in the insurance industry where he stayed for his entire successful career. Karl worked in sales at Union Mutual Insurance Company, and later moved to be the Regional Sales Manager at Reliance Standard Life Insurance Company where he worked for most of his career. Eventually becoming the Vice President of Sales, Karl was responsible for hiring, training and mentoring his national sales force.  He found enjoyment and purpose in providing guidance and support to new hires. Karl valued community and camaraderie, as he built lifelong friendships with his colleagues. His sense of community was strong, and he took great pleasure in his retirement years driving cancer patients to and from treatments.
In his younger years, Karl was a skilled snow skier employed with the Ski Patrol at Sunday River Ski Resort in Bethel, Maine. He strapped skis to his children at young ages and enjoyed numerous family ski trips together in Maine for years.
Karl’s favorite activity of all was the game of golf. He was a member of Waynesborough Country Club for two decades, and a member of Stonewall Golf Club when it opened. He enjoyed socializing with friends and family as he completed countless rounds of golf. Golfing with his boys and his Dad, “Governor” were some of his most cherished memories.
Above all else, Karl’s greatest love was his family. He shared 42 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Suzanne, until she passed away in June of 2022. Together, Karl and Sue raised 7 children: Kimberly Wolferth (John), Lyn Herzog, Sheryl Herzog Monastero (Benjamin), Jill Pezza (Jim), Cheryl Pomeroy McMahon (Scott), John Pomeroy (Char), Ric Pomeroy (Sharon) and a foster daughter, Dianna Harrison. Karl and Sue were blessed with 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Family gatherings were frequent, and always full of laughs. Poppop, as he was known, was his grandkids’ biggest fan, proudly attending, and rarely missing, school and sporting events, birthday parties and graduation ceremonies. When not surrounded by their family, Karl and Sue loved to travel. Their ventures took them to all parts of the world - Turkey, the Caribbean Islands, Hawaii, and Greece, to name a few.
Karl was a devout Christian and a scholar of the Bible right up to the end of his life. He very much enjoyed the friendship and fellowship he had with his men’s bible study group at Christ Community Church in West Chester and the congregation at Calvary Chapel in Chester Springs.
Karl was preceded in death by his wife Suzanne Pomeroy, parents Arlene and Charles Pomeroy, brother David Pomeroy, sister Charlene Kinnelly, and his foster daughter, Dianna Harrison. Adele B. Page - November 07, 1936 - March 31, 2024

Departed: 03/31/2024 (Broomall)
Obituary Preview: Adele B. “Debbie” Page
Adele B. Page, affectionately known as “Debbie,” passed away on March 31, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Debbie and her twin sister “Bobbie” were born to Gus and Lucy Massimiano, on November 7, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA. Debbie grew up in a close-knit Philadelphia family as one of six children. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters Lydia, Dorothy and Bobbie and brothers Arthur and Eddie.
Debbie met the love of her life, Hank, at a Naval Academy football game, in 1955. They were married at a formal Naval Wedding, in 1957, the day after Hank graduated from the Naval Academy. They had two children and a life of love, happiness, and many adventures. Family was the foundation of her life.
Debbie is loved and remembered by her husband, Hank; their two children, Chere (Steve) Onofrio and Hank Page (Nick Lanzi); four grandchildren, Paige, Michael, Michelle, and Mickey; and eight great-grandchildren, Drew, Will, Luke, Rishi, Pia, Max, Sadie, and Ellis.
Debbie led a life of leadership and community service. She was president of the Marple Jayceettes, organized modeling shows, and was an active volunteer at several organizations including the Melmark Special Education School, her churches in Newtown Square and Sea Isle City, and at her children’s school. Debbie’s passion for art, entrepreneurship and family led her to buy a small wicker store and turn it into a successful custom furniture & design store called Albert’s Interiors in Newtown Square. At Albert’s, Debbie worked with her two children, Chere and Hank and her husband, Hank, after his career with Sunoco.
Mom was also an amazing artist who designed and drew a cherished Christmas card every year. In her card, she would tell the family story by reflecting on new special family events, her grandchildren, and the births of her great-grandchildren. Friends & family would anticipate receiving the cards and many have saved every card.
Another of Mom’s passions was enjoying Sea Isle City where she and Dad made their permanent home in 2010. She loved to look out on the beach, walk the promenade, create traditions centered around holidays, and make her special crabs & spaghetti dinner every July 4th. They regularly hosted many from the Catholic clergy in their home, where they conducted masses in their living room and would then treat them to a wonderful home cooked Italian dinner. Debbie could also be a little devilish and we would be remiss in not mentioning her love for the casinos. She would play the slot machines for hours, earning her a Borgata Casino “titanium” card.
Debbie loved creating rich traditions, teaching lessons about love, respect, faith and family. We will dearly miss our Mom, beloved wife, Mom Mom and friend.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 8th, at St. Mary Magdalen, 2400 North Providence Road, in Media, Pennsylvania, at 9:30 AM. A memorial mass will follow immediately, at 11:00 AM.
