Madelon M. Knight - October 02, 1931 - April 15, 2024

Departed: 04/15/2024 (Justice)
Obituary Preview: She had a truck driver mouth but a heart of gold. Beautiful soul inside and out. Madelon was an extremely religious person in her own way. She had a strong faith in God and enjoyed conversations of such with those that shared the same.
She didn’t come from much and worked hard for what she had. You would never know because she was generous soul. Madelon was notorious for tipping every single person! Cashiers at fast food chains, baggers at Jewel, homeless people, bank or hospital employees. Just wanted to put a smile on someone’s face. She would argue with you about who was paying for dinner. Throwing her money down on a table because she was stubborn! Tiny but mighty.
She was a strong and independent little lady. Single Mom, raising a daughter on her own. She worked many jobs to support herself and her daughter. Assembly lines, phone company and lastly opening up Giordanos pizza with the original owner on 63rd and California. She waitressed alongside her daughter and this high school drop out later became the manager.
She took care of herself. Health was important to her. She would chat with you about all her vitamins, supplements, proteins or b12 liver and iron shots. She was a creative little lady and a thrifter. Always made her house a home decorating from second hand finds. Taught herself to draw, wrote many poems, made a plethora of handmade cards, and enjoyed landscaping. She had many poems published in local newspapers. Below is something small she wrote: A Garden So Fair When I close my eyes at night, I enter a garden so fair, that is When I worship God, and say my daily Prayer I ask the Lord, forgive my sins Fulfill my earthly needs, I also Ask forgiveness, for all selfishness And greed The rareness of this garden, its Beauty cannot be told, a place of Spiritual oneness, with the savior
And a humble soul.
She was survived by her cherished daughter, best friend, Sharon (Russ) Lyewski, granddaughter Lisa (Mike) Gehl, Russell (Amanda) Lyewski who blessed her with three great grandchildren. Joey, Benny and Lennon.
She was also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Each and every one of them were special to her in every way.
