Born in Saxton on May 1, 1939, a daughter of the late, James and Nora (Leighty) Bair.
She was the Widower of two husbands, first, Ronald Johnson and later Anthony Stopyra.
Surviving are sons, Ronald Johnson, husband of Carol, Robert Johnson, Husband of Donna, Jeffery Johnson and fiancée, Caroline Reinik, daughter, Karen Beam, a sister Dottie Ruby, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 1-2 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. Broad Top City. A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation.

Obituary Preview: Glen F. “Sonny” Worthing, 91, of Duncansville, formerly of Hollidaysburg, passed away, Thursday, March 31, 2022.
Born in Saxton, on November 8, 1930, a son of the late, Glen and Dorothy Worthing.
He was a 1948 graduate of Saxton Liberty High School then entered into the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict and being discharged in June of 1952.
He retired from Mountain Bell Telephone in Tuscon, AZ having worked as a lineman and instillations. His memberships included the American Legion Posts 126 in Broad Top City and Post 556 in Six Mile Run, a former member of the Saxton VFW Post 4129 in which he held several different offices within these clubs over the years, the Jaffa Shrine Cycle Corps for several years, and was a proud member of the Broad Top Area Honor Guard.
He is survived by his long time companion, Margie Daus and her family who shared many wonderful years together, a daughter, Vicki, a brother, Tom Worthing, husband of Laura, nephews, Mark Worthing, husband of Sue and their son Lucas, Dave Worthing, husband of Lori, and their sons, Cole and Garrett, Grandchildren, Andrea Raupach, Justin Raupach, husband of Emily, great grandchildren, Allison, Josh, Husband of Jennifer, Lyla, Anna, great great grandchildren, Jenson, Jalyn, Jason, and Jackson.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his sisters, Olive, Zola and Willis Wineland, Lillie Ann and Jerry Brennan, a brother, Gene Dolt, and a great great grandchild, Jadis.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, he was a truly appreciated man.
At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or funeral service, however there will be military honors conducted by the Broad Top Area Honor Guard at the Fockler Cemetery in Saxton on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1 PM.

Born in Six Mile Run, PA. on April 19, 1930, a daughter of the late Gussie and Anna Genevieve “Dade” (Heath) Williams.
On September 21, 1957 in Winchester, Va, she was united in marriage to Michael Mykut. Mr. Mykut preceded her in death.
She attended the former Robertsdale High School was a member of St. Michaels Orthodox Church in Wood, PA, and had worked on the floor at SETON Co. in Saxton for 21 Years.
Surviving are two sons, James Mykut of Auburn, PA and Daniel Mykut of Walton, IN., grandchildren, Matthew and Parker Mykut, and David and Joseph Mykut, sisters, Sydney Dick, Saxton, Barbara Ramper, Hollidaysburg, Linda Maksinchak, Chambersburg, and a brother, Erwin Williams, Darby, Conn.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. at 10 AM with Father Thomas Klein officiating. Friends will be received on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 6-8 PM also at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in the St. Michaels Orthodox Church Cemetery.

Born in Six Mile Run on December 24, 1945, a daughter of the late, Henry and Rose (Price) Kuklo.
She was the widow of Bernard “Bernie” Connell who preceded her in death in 2007.
Throughout her life she attended the Riddlesburg Church of God and the Safe Harbor House of Healing Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as church.
Surviving are sons, Ronald Stevey, husband of Theresa, Donald Stevey, husband of Katherine, daughters, Camellia Smart, wife of John, Jennifer Connell, and Sherri Loose, wife of Randy, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, brothers, Gary, Albert, and Henry Kuklo, and a sister, Evange Munyan.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by the following siblings, Tillie, Rosemary, Jimmie, Patricia, John, Freddie, and Betty.
A memorial service will be planned and announced at a later date.

Obituary Preview: Daryl “Beef” Booher, 62, of Three Springs, passed away on Sunday January 30, 2022 at Mount Nittany Medical Center following a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Huntingdon on September 19, 1959, a son of the late Dallas and Janet (Black) Booher.
On September 25, 1982, he was united in marriage to Jodi (Redinger) Booher who survives at their home.
He was a 1977 graduate of Southern Huntingdon High School and then a graduate of Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology with a degree in Plumbing, and then worked as a supervisor for K.W. Reese for over 40 years, as well as for the Spring Creek Sewer Authority part time.
He was a member of the Free Mason Cromwell Lodge #572, the Three Springs Hunting Club, was an avid golfer where Down River Golf Course was his second home, he was also an avid Steelers fan and loved to travel. He competed in the Bedford, Fulton, and Franklin county TAP Pool Leagues and was the captain of the Down River TAP League team.
Along with his wife Jodi, he is survived by a son, Wesley Booher, husband of Kammi, a daughter, Alexis Hess, wife of Dave,  grandson, Marshall Booher, granddaughter, Enslee Hess, brother John Booher, husband of Patti, and sisters, Debra Messner and Della Werner, wife of Ed.
At the request of the deceased there  will be no viewing, however a Celebration of Life will be held by the family on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Crossview Missional Church, Cassville, PA. at 11 Am with Pastor Dan Mansberger officiating.

A 1961 graduate of Tussey Mountain Joint High Schools (Robertsdale and Saxton Liberty).
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Alex, Anne (Yankanich), Mary (Oaks), Kay (Favata), Frank, Helen (Eichelberger), Eva (Ruocco), Olive (McKinney) and John.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 10AM to 11AM at St. Michael’s Orthodox Church, Main Street, Wood, PA with funeral mass immediately following.
Interment will take place in the St. Michael’s Orthodox Cemetery, Wood, PA.

Born in Huntingdon, Pa on July 12, 1963, a son of the late Ronald Thompson and Catherine (Black) Thompson who survives in Defiance.
Along with his mother Catherine,  he is survived by children, Lacey Thompson (Jeff) of Altoona, Steven Thompson (Kayla) of Everett, and Christian Thompson of Saxton. Also surviving are grandchildren, Ethan, Conner, Dane and Kayden, a Sister Kendra Fink of Defiance and Brothers Scott Thompson (Lesa) of Broad Top City, Stacey Thompson (Brandy) of Broad Top City, his loving companion Laurel Keegan of Saxton, as well as aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his father Ronald, and two brothers, Matthew and Kevin Thompson.
He enjoyed hunting, going on motorcycle rides, Penn State and Steelers Football, westerns, cooking and spending time with family, and was a member of the Saxton Sportsman’s Association and the NRA.
He had worked as a corrections officer at SCI Huntingdon where he was a member of the CERT Team, and most recently was employed at Green Leaf in Saxton as a security guard and had served in the National Guard for 8 years.
At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing, however the family will receive friends on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 11 AM to 1 PM where a funeral service will be held at 1 PM with Pastor Jared Fields officiating at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc., Broad Top City, PA.
Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City, PA.

She was a 1963 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School and later retired from the Tussey Mountain School District working as a custodian. She loved the outdoors and her beagle Peaches and was an avid camper.
Along with her husband she is survived by a son, Steve Figard and fiancée Kim Powers, daughter, Patti Jo Figard and fiancé James Kling Jr., daughter Tara Kauffman and husband Kip, granddaughter, Raven Showalter and fiancé Preston Cogan, grandson, Zane Graeff, step-granddaughter, Kara Kauffman, step-grandson, Isac Kauffman.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public services held, all services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Surviving are a daughter, Gail L. (Neville), wife of Lester E. Donelson, granddaughters, Sonni Lynn (Donelson), wife of Andrew S. Thompson, Jessc Lee (Donelson), wife of Clayton E. Stevey, great grandchildren, Morgan M. Thompson, Rylyn L. Rickabaugh, Weslyn S. Thompson, Chance E. Stevey, and Daisy L. Stevey.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary (Angelo) Minnick, brother, Joe L. Angelo, Brother-in-law Richard “Dick” Minnick, and a great nephew, Ryan L. Minnick.
She was a graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School then went to the Altoona Beauty School and later owned her own beauty salon in Baltimore, MD for 30 plus years.
She and her husband retired in 1985 and moved back to PA in 1986.

She was preceded in death by her Father William Hanley, Step Father Chester Hall SR and Brother Chester Hall Jr.
She was a member of the Watson and Black Post 126 American Legion Auxiliary in Broad Top City and the Saxton Sportsman’s Association.

She was born in Huntingdon on September 13, 1938, a daughter of the late Richard E. and Evelyn (Rhoat) Houck.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Doris Leonard of Saxton.
On August 26, 1955, she was united in marriage to Donald L. Crooks, who preceded her in death on October 30, 1999.
She is survived by six children: Kim (Jodi) Crooks, Gettysburg; Sharon DiCriscio, Saxton; Lori (Jim) Hann, Broad Top; Brenda (Jack) Reed, Cooks; Janet (Ric) Defibaugh, Bedford; and Michael Crooks, Frederick. Grandchildren: Abby (Dan) McGinnis, Adam (Liz) Crooks, Neil (Brandi), Daniel (Ashley), and Anthony (Anna) DiCriscio, James J., Lacee, and Christopher Hann, Ryan Reed, Matt (Mandi) Defibaugh, and Erica (Dan) and Elias Hoover. Great grandchildren: Dalton and Dominic Berry, Caroline McGinnis, Wyatt and Noah Crooks, Maci Defibaugh, Norah Guyer, Ella Coffman, Evie and Rosie DiCriscio, Madeline and Julia DiCriscio, Jordan and Jaxson DiCriscio. She also had many beloved nieces and nephews.
LaVerne was primarily a homemaker, but in her later years worked at Quality Manufacturing in Saxton. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, singing, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, traveling, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed working on the Election Board for Wood Township for many years.
She attended the Trough Creek Valley Community Church in Eagle Foundry and enjoyed singing in the choir.
The family wishes to thank caregivers Stacey Hillegas, Donna Jezeskie, Kenzi Wilt, and Rachel Brumbaugh for the loving care they provided in the last six months.

Also surviving are 9 nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and best friend Connie "Ruth" Batzel and annoying her niece Amy "Michele" Black.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her significant other, Stanley Bleacher, a daughter, Cindy (Keith) Macklin, and a granddaughter, Sky Faircloth.
She worked at various nursing homes and was last employed at the Morrisons Cove Home as a CNA. She was a member of the Saxton VFW and the Saxton Sportsman's Assn.

On March 1, 1969 at the Trinity Assebly of God in Huntingdon, PA she was united in marriage to Ira R. Corbin, who survives at their home.
She was a 1959 graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School and then received a Degree of Theology from the Tennessee Temple Bible School in Chattanooga, TN on May 30, 1966.
Her career was that of a missionary, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and elementary teacher, working as a missionary with the Baptist International Missions in Nassau, Bahamas from 1967-1968, Kindergarten teacher at the Evangel Christian School, Dale City, VA, from 1696 to 1983, elementary teacher at the Trough Creek Valley Christian School, Cassville, PA, from 1983 to 1987, and pre-kindergarten/kindergarten teacher, at the Play and Learn Center at the Beavertown Bible Church, Todd, PA, from 2005 to 2021, where she was a founding member of the church.
Along with her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Laurie J. Nearhood, Robertsdale, PA, a son, Ira R. Corbin II, Cassville, PA, grandson, Timothy W. Nearhood, Robertsdale, PA, and a student at Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, PA, sisters, Margaret Hitchens (Bill), Dillsburg, PA, Carol Whitley (Ronnie), Rocky Mount, NC, Gail Foster, Everett, PA, Fay Wible, Wells Tannery, PA, Mary Jane Foor (Donald), Everett, PA, brothers, Neil Foor (Ethel), Waterfall, PA, Vaughn Foor, Medical Lake, WA, Dennis Foor (Mary), Cedartown, GA, sister-in-law Michelle Foor, Breezewood, PA.

Louise was employed with Bedford Memorial Hospital, Home Nursing Agency, as well as Area Agency on Aging unitl her retirement and diagnosis with CLL.
She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, visits from her dear friend, Connie Stollings, fishing at the river behind her home, traveling to the Log Cabin Inn for Maryland Blue Crabs with various family members and summer “Crab Fests” at her home with friends and family.

Kody enjoyed going to the beach, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and loved his fur babies, Jack, Simon, and Oreo.
Along with his wife and parents he is survived by sisters, Kayley Leavelle, Bailey Weaver, grandparents, Wolfer and Doris Lawson, Barb Fagan, uncles, Ralph Fagan Jr., husband of Shanna, Shame Broome, husband of Alisha, aunt Alicia Eisenhower, wife of Justin.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers David Weaver, and Ralph Fagan Sr.
