She also loved cooking, and her hamburgers were legendary among family and friends. Her fried potato sandwiches were a unique favorite. She could be particular about her hair but her afternoon naps were always taken seriously.Barbara cherished her family and enjoyed attending family reunions. She was a talented crocheter and quilter, creating beautiful quilts for all her grandchildren. She had a special fondness for animals, especially her beloved Ethel the Pig.Barbara worked for many years in the cafeteria at Corsicana ISD, where she found joy in serving others. She had a deep appreciation for nature, often finding joy in observing the birds and deer around her. Judy found particular delight in spending time on the lake, where she always said, “The Lake was Her Diamond.”Throughout her career, Judy worked as a beautician, at IBM, and for many years at H&R Block. She was a dedicated wife to her husband, Alan Waldrop, whom she married on February 11, 1961, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Together, they embarked on a journey that took them to various places due to Alan's employment, eventually settling in Richland 25 years ago, where they built their home.Judy will be dearly missed by her husband, Alan Waldrop; her children, Lori Ward and her husband Mike of Richmond, TX; Jeff Waldrop and his wife Michele of Belgium; and Brian Waldrop of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren: Sarah Webb, Alan Ward, Megan Ward, Courtney Ward, Eric Ward, Hannah Owens and her husband Aaron, and Noah Waldrop and his wife Devin, as well as her great-granddaughter, Eleanor Owens, and sister, Ramona Caldwell of Maryland.In addition to her family, Judy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Loretta Jean Midkiff.Funeral services to celebrate Judy's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Corsicana with Dr. Danny Reeves officiating.Judy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Embodying a spirit of adventure and exploration he constructed an airplane hangar by hand, a labor of love for his beloved wife of 57 years, Linda Estell, showcasing his devotion and commitment to her happiness. Dorothy, also known to many as Na, Aunt May, Dot, and Shorty, was born on September 7, 1936, in Irving, Texas to Rube and BellZama (Gragson) Price. Dorothy grew up in Irving and graduated from Irving High School where she played basketball. After graduation, she met the love of her life, Billy Bamburg and they were happily married for 63 years before his passing. Dorothy loved her family. She made the decision to work in her home. Working to take care of her husband and daughters and then her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would cook three meals a day for her daughters, and this continued with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed watching television especially her soap operas and westerns with her favorite actor, John Wayne. She also enjoyed wrestling. She would sit in front of the television just hollering at those wrestlers. It was known in the Bamburg home that you didn’t disturb her while she was watching her wrestling. She enjoyed reading especially Harlequin Romance novels, playing cards, and dominoes. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Bamburg; grandson, Michael “Pooh” Dillon; great-grandson, Colton Krauter; and son-in-law, Paul Krauter.Dorothy is survived by her five daughters, Sandra Johnson and husband, Eric, Cindy Hunter and husband, Travis, Angela Dillon, Pamela Neagle, and Debra Krauter; grandchildren, Sherri Meiers and husband, Willie, Eric Johnson, Brian Johnson, Justin Hord, Shakara Dillon and fiance, Zach Painter, Markus Dillon and significant other, Colleen Gibbs, Joshua Bamburg, Jared Neagle and wife, Abigail, Jonathan Krauter and wife, Michelle, Robert Krauter and wife, Kayla, Billy Krauter and wife, Vivian, and Deana Oldham and husband, Phil; and 25 great-grandchildren. She grew up in Navarro County and graduated from Corsicana High School in 1955. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert “Barney” Barnes Thomas of Eureka on September 1, 1956. Her first job was at the Corsicana Hat Factory. She enjoyed working as a secretary at the First Christian Church while raising her boys Robby and Randy Thomas. The only job she loved more than being a wife & mother was being a Mawmaw to her grandsons & great-grand babies.Anyone who knew her, knew she was proud of her family and that she loved each and every one of them.She was an avid sports fan. A sign hung on her back door that said, “if we’re not home, then we’re at a ballgame somewhere.” If one of her boys were playing, she wasn’t about to miss a Mildred ball game. It is said that many Eagle players, referees, umpires, & fans could still pick out her voice from a crowd. Along with being an Eagle fan, she loved her University of Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys. Patricia had a tribe of Godly women that she cherished their friendship for a lifetime.As much as she loved her husband, family, friends & sports, she put her Lord and Savior first. Patricia was a long time active member of the First United Methodist Church of Eureka. She had a giving heart & served our community and school on many committees over her lifetime.The sound of her cheering, the warmth of her hugs, her spitfire personality & the confidence she instilled with her wisdom will be sorely missed on this side of heaven. Joseph Alton Crum Jr, known to his loved ones as Ty or Pa, went to be with Jesus on March 6, 2024, in Barry, Texas, at the age of 84. He was born on December 13, 1939, in Albany, Georgia.
Pa was a loving and caring individual who had a knack for fixing anything that came his way. He began his career at Yellow Freight, while furthering his education. They settled in Corsicana, where Ernest ultimately served as rabbi for more than 30 years until his death in 1999.Rochelle's kindness, her keen mind, and her unabashed love for family made her universally beloved. She was a woman of valor, and she will be missed. Her memory will always be a wonderful blessing. Obituary Preview: Nicolas Garcia passed peacefully at Epic Nursing Home on February 20, 2024 in Corsicana, TX at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Garcia and his children, Kenneth and Nicholas Garcia.Nicolas was born on September 2nd 1945 in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico to Leonardo Garcia and Leonor Paniagua. He is the 2nd of 12 siblings. He immigrated to the United States in 1966 and began working odd jobs while acclimating to his new life. He fell in love with and was married to his wife Gloria on November 12th, 1977 before buying their first house together a few years later. They recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary together.Nicolas proudly served two enlistments in the US Navy, the first from 1974 to 1979 during the Vietnam War. He took a pause from the military to start a family, having two boys in 1980 and 1983. His commitment to serve his country resumed in 1983 when he returned to the Navy to complete his career before retiring to Corsicana as a Petty Officer First Class in 1998. He was extremely proud of his time spent in the Navy, having worked on flightlines and aircraft carriers around the world in defense of our nation. He was happiest telling stories of his time served abroad.Nicolas was a skilled handyman and jack of all trades. After retirement, he worked to build an expansion to the family home, even installing many of the electrical and plumbing systems and finishes himself. In the community, Nicolas was a member of the Corsicana Lions Club and enjoyed the company of his fellow Lions.Nicolas instilled a regimented work ethic in his children who were deeply impacted by his legacy in naval aviation. His oldest son Kenneth graduated from the Air Force Academy and served as a Navigator in the US Air Force. His youngest son Nicholas studied Architecture at Texas Tech University and now designs Airports.The Garcia family will be holding a private service at the Dallas - Ft. Worth National Cemetery where his ashes will be laid to rest with military honors, time and date TBD. We ask that in lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the Corsicana Lions Club so they may continue their mission of helping the community that took his family in.
