He was also a lifetime member of the VFW in Bismarck, Missouri and was a member of the Eastern Star. Kenneth passed away in his home in Irondale, Missouri on April 16, 2024, at the age of 74 years 3 months and 3 days surrounded by his loved ones. Kenneth is preceded in death by his son Sammy Dunlap. Obituary Preview: Stanley E. Weiss of Bismarck, Missouri was born on September 27, 1934, in Elvins, Missouri to the late Henry and Lydia (Burch) Weiss. Stanley enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved his horses and cattle he raised, and taking care of his farm. Every year he planted a big vegetable garden and had enough to share with the entire family. He loved his grandkids and spending time with his family. Stanley's family would describe him as a strong, hard-working man all of his life. He was incredibly kind and would have given the shirt off his back to help anyone that needed it. He was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Stanley passed away in his home in Bismarck, Missouri on April 12, 2024, at the age of 89 years, 6 months, and 15 days. Stanley was preceded in death by his wife Helen Shirley Weiss; Daughter, Cheryl Weiss; and three brothers, Sonny, Virgil, and Buddy Weiss. Stanley is survived by Sons: Craig, Stanley, and Clayton Weiss Daughter: Becky (Weiss) and husband Keith Wilkinson Brother: Ray Weiss Sisters: Marie (Weiss) Pirtle, and Paulette (Weiss) Barton Grandchildren: Christina Weiss, Amber (Weiss) Bishop, Nicole (Weiss) Burns, Jessica (Weiss) May, Ryan Weiss, Zoe Weiss, and Zach Weiss

Richard Wayne Forshee - December 23, 1951 - February 22, 2024

Obituary Preview: Richard Wayne Forshee, 72, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 22nd, 2024, at his home with his wife of 53 years by his side. Wayne was born December 23, 1951, to Richard and Betty Forshee and spent his whole life in the Leadwood area. Wayne worked for Monsanto in St. Louis for 30 years starting out as a painter and ending his time there as a department manager. Wayne then prepared for retirement by working another 10 years at West St. Francois County School District as a groundskeeper and bus driver. Wayne was an avid bowler with three perfect games under his belt. In his younger years, Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing, but later in life he spent more of his time watching the STL Cardinals on TV as well as anything with Clint Eastwood in it. Wayne’s pride in life was being a provider for his family.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Becky Forshee; Children, Chad (Jason) Forshee, Shawna Sansoucie, and Megan Forshee; Grandchildren, Madison (Holden Straight) Sansoucie, McCoy (Laci Cook) Sansoucie, and Graden Brockes; Great-grandchildren Mason Sansoucie and Sophie Straight; Parents, Richard and Betty (Miller) Forshee; Brother, Brett (Sherry) Forshee; Furry companion, Sasha, and many, many other loved ones.
Wayne was preceded in death by his brother, Micheal Forshee.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 4pm at the Frankclay Nazarene Church, where Becky and Wayne have been members for 45 years. Wayne’s ashes will be interred at Adam’s Cemetery at a later date.

Gary Black Sr. - September 04, 1945 - February 19, 2024

Gary R. Black Sr. 78, died February 19, 2024 in Park Hills, Missouri. He was born September 4, 1945, in North Little Rock, Arkansas and was the oldest son of the late William E. and Lena Ruth (Matkin) Black.
He was reared in Flat River, Missouri (now Park Hills) and was a 1963 graduate of Flat River High School, where he lettered in track, basketball, and football. He played saxophone and guitar in several bands including The Dauphins, Gary and the Black Outs, The Majestics, and The MoJos. He later joined Local 2-197 Musicians Association and played gigs throughout the Midwest.
Mr. Black attended Flat River Junior College and taught and coached at Belleview R-3 and Athena R-8 school districts. He then earned a BS degree in education in 1966 from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and taught and coached at Festus R-6 Junior High.
While enrolled at South Texas College of Law - Houston, he worked full time as a deputy sheriff/tach officer for the Harris County Sheriff's Office. He later was an investigator for the Texas Attorney General's Office. He graduated with a juris doctorate degree in 1974 and returned to Flat River to join his uncle, the late Robert McIlrath, at McIlrath & Black law firm.
Mr. Black was elected circuit judge of the 24th Judicial Circuit in 1975 and was the youngest circuit judge ever elected in the state.
Throughout his life he held many other positions including paralegal, over the road truck driver and salesman. He is survived by four children: Gary R. (Jenny) Black Jr., Bloomfield CO, Nancy A. (John) Wood, Tel Aviv, Israel, Walter (Bonnie) Black, New Braunfels, TX, and Kelly Black, St. Louis, MO.; three brothers: Andrew L. (Pam) Black, Mineral Point MO, William L. Black, Farmington MO, and John E. Black, Park Hills MO.; a sister: Amy S. (Jim) Watkins Park Hills MO.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four nephews, Todd (Jenniffer) Watkins, Matt (Chelsea) Watkins, John T. "JT" (Karen) Black and Jordan (Jaimie) Black; his significant other Becky Lowry, Hillsboro; the mother of his children, Georgia Black, Festus; a special friend Joe Murray, Farmington

Jake departed this life at the age of 32 on February 7, 2024, at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family. Jake was definitely one of a kind! He never met a stranger and loved to make people laugh. Jake's main passions in life were music, astronomy and his 3 children. Jake was and incredibly gifted musician in many areas but excelled especially in the art of heavy metal guitar. Jake was baptized in the Christian faith by his father at Bismarck Assembly of God.  Jake was preceded in death by his older brother Aaron Wilson, with whom he shared a particularly close bond. Jake is survived by: Parents:  Mike and Joanna Barton Son: Noah Michael Barton Wheat
Daughters: Ivy Piper Barton and Freya Sage Barton. Brother: Rev. Michael Barton II and his wife Thera Sisters: Amy Lynn Ford and her husband Bob, Amy Renee Courtney and Molly Jo Hardin and her husband Brandon Grandparents: Dallas and Bonnie Brown
Many other close nieces, nephews and close friends and family also survive today.
Jake will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 4pm to 8pm and Funeral Service Thursday , February 15, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. in the Coplin Funeral Home of Park Hills, Missouri with Officiating:  Mike Barton Sr and Pastor Micheal Barton II Interment will be at Hillview Cemetery in Farmington, Missouri
A dinner will be served at the Bismarck Assembly of God Church following the burial.
